HBO's Game of Thrones Season 5....current episodes, no future spoilers

The gift is many things...Sam got a gift (you know what), Khaleesi got a gift (Tyrion), Sansa got a bad gift (flayed woman of the north), Bronn got a gift (antidote to the poison) and Queen of Thorns got a gift ("handsome young man") and that's the one I was referring to...the "handsome young man" Littlefinger is giving Queen of Thorns (Tyrell). Who is the "handsome young man"? I am not sure it is Lancel.

Olenna's handsome young man could simply refer to Loras.

Good episode.

I actually lol'd when the redheaded Wildling (Tormund?) beat the other guy to death with his skull stick thingy.

.....And when the giant stomped on the walker thing.

The last 20 minutes or so of last night's episode are the best thing that's happened all season! I thought it was great.

The wights are the reanimated dead (what happens when the human/animal dead aren't burned beyond the wall) and the White Walkers are evil creatures. For the sake of clarity, the White Walkers are like the "commanders" of the undead army.

Dying to know if what happened last night is about John or about his sword. It was definitely noticed, which is kinda scary.

It was about his Valyrian steel sword.

If you remember when the White Walker threw Jon, Longclaw (his Valyrian steel sword) was thrown out of his reach. He used a regular sword to try and defend himself and the White Walker's weapon shattered it. After he was able to get his sword, he was able to defeat the White Walker. It was the Valyrian steel that killed the White Walker.

Slightly off topic, but at what point is it no longer considered a spoiler?

I understood what was shown. I meant ultimately what does it mean? This stuff has many layers. The styling of the White Walkers made me take notice also. I don't think it's insignificant.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood what you were wondering about (and frankly still have no idea :o ). Are you wondering if the White Walker was after Jon? Are you wondering why Valyrian steel can kill one? Oh well...

I do agree about the white walker looking funny. When he first showed up, I had wondered if it really was one. He looked more human than the others.

Thread title needs to be changed... badly.

Lol
Just trying to keep things about future episodes out of the thread. Like "well this happens in the book next" or " I read online this happens in the next episode". That way we can all be surprised like we were last night. :thumbsup2 Talking about current episodes or past episodes is cool :)
