Disney Magic- Fri Jan 15, 2016 5-Night Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay From Miami

My family will be on this cruise and we are so excited (except for the kids, who won't know until christmas). We have 4 staterooms booked, 1. My parents, 2. Myself, DD 17 and DS 10, 3. My boyfriend and his DS 14 and 4. My brother, sister-in-law and nephew 1. We are all first timers and looking for tips and tricks.

DH and I are booked on this cruise! Our "excuse" is that it will be a belated 1 year wedding anniversary trip (only 3 months late). It'll by my 6th cruise on DCL, and DH's first cruise ever! I'm just a little excited... only 310 days to go. :rolleyes1

My Cousin and I just booked this cruise yesterday!!!! I've only sailed on the Fantasy and Dream so I'm looking forward to the Magic!!!

Will be on this cruise with DW and our 3 sons! Just got off the WBPC last week and already can't wait for this cruise!

We are also on this cruise! We have 3 state rooms combined and includes me and my hubby, 2 adult son's and one of the girlfriends. Hoping our grandson will be joining us as well but not positive yet.

My family is on this cruise as well... we have three rooms booked. 1. Myself 37, DD 6, DS 4 2. My parents and aunt 3. Cousin 36, DD 10, DD 6

This is our second Disney cruise for most of those going but first time on the Magic, we sailed on the Wonder January 2015 and loved the ship and the cruise that we booked now this cruise while on the other cruise. The only thing that we were disappointed was the temp of the water at Castaway Cay was freezing but there is nothing you can do when going to Bahamas in January.

We cruised the Wonder in January 2015 also and we were unable to dock at CC due to high winds. Really hoping next year is better even if the water is freezing!

We are booked on this cruise too and can't wait! It is our second Disney Cruise. Last January on the Dream, the water was cold on CC, but the weather was perfect! Crossing my fingers for the same luck!

Is anyone interested in getting a Fish Extender Group started? It was one of the highlights of our last cruise. Our son couldn't wait to see what was left for us.

Hi everyone!

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and Fish Extender discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS) and way before social media was even a thing.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is completely up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM (conversation).

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread and just share a pdf document through a private conversation confidentially with just those who want to join in!

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need any help getting started! :goodvibes

200 days!!!

We booked our flights yesterday and got a great rate from JetBlue in to FLL. I've been researching hotels, but we are having a hard time trying to find a decent deal for 2 nights. (I convinced DH that we might as well fly in 2 days before, since the flights were about $40 less pp to come in on Wednesday, now making our vacation a full week!)

So excited! Hoping we can do everything we've planned in 5 nights!

Grandma is hosting, and footing (most of the) bill for this trip. Me, husband, 9yo son, and 4yo boy/girl twins.

Really hoping the 9yo can find someone to hang out with, as I know he will not be interested in everything we want to do...

We will be onboard as well! This is our second DCL cruise. Our first was on Dream and we are excited to see the Magic. We have two daughters, ages 10 and 8 who don't know about the cruise yet. It's a Christmas surprise and I am so excited to see their faces when they find out! I would love to participate in the Fish Extender program if anyone else is doing one.
