Any chatter about more 2016 dates?

Two things (1) I think there finalising plans (2) as Port bookings are noticed by us, they then are often taken back down. But it all seems to add up to use of Norway, Iceland, Dover in June and July then going to the Med late July and a 12 night then seven night Med cruises to late September.
Wonder is in Alaska.

Any thought how they will get from Norway, Iceland, Dover to the Med? Or will they leave out of Dover? Or a repo from Dover to the Med? I know lots of questions and I will probably have answers in a few weeks......:magnify::thumbsup2

I would say a repeat of this years and they will not bypass Dover.

Thanks Disney Fantasy. Do you have any other info about the 12 night Med. sailing that you could share?? (please!)

Nothing more than it would appear to be a repeat if the Greek Islands one that I went on last summer. The itinerary has been kept up on the DCL website that's always a good indication and it sold out, timing is similar but a few days earlier.

This is based on port bookings however as they get close to release they can chop and change there only reservations until they firm up for release.

Last year there was strong talk of Istanbal but.... I think it's a bit close to the troubles in Crimea so I think they went cold on that.

I know I was hoping for a NYC-based cruise...but now in looking at the Eastern Car. cruises I'm not even seeing stops in San Juan after the last Southern Car. run in February :( If I've missed my chance to go home on a cruise because hubby "had" to have his way and do Jamaica this time around I will never let him hear the end of it. (Ran the numbers and there's just no way to recover from the August cruise in time for the PIF date for the February cruise).

I think Easterns are going to Tortola.

I would be interested in a southern route out of San Juan. Any thoughts?
That's hard to predict as there Likly to be in the Fall on the Wonder and they will not get released soon. Personally there will be more as there popular and sell out.

Fantasy and Dream are tied to Port Canaveral for two more years, with the Magic in Europe and the Wonder in Alaska there is no place for them in the summer season, plus there a good cruise to run in the winter.

Magic is staying later in Europe till the end of September, it's feasible it could do a repo to San Juan but that caused considerable border control issues there on disembarkation.

Do you think Venice would be included? That's on the bucket list, for sure!

I do not want to say 100% no, as there is a chance, but personally I can't see how they could do it next summer, with the port bookings made, but they could always be placing a false trail.

I think it's a 12 night then seven night cruises.

Yeah, that's what I've seeing. It doesn't even look like an option anymore. :( But hopefully once the schedule is released they'll work it in there a bit.

I just really wish that Disney would put some of these "interesting" routes during times OTHER than during the school year. Kids are just starting back in September so who can take their kid out right there for a Transatlantic, for example, or a Med cruise?

As for the Southern, it's done so well they really should put that in more often.

Perhaps it's time for them to get another ship? Maybe something a tad larger than the Magic but not as big as the Dream/Fantasy?

Yeah, I followed those threads and that seemed to be terrible. However, I think if they work it so that they don't have a cruise leaving that same day, or even the day after, they could then take their time getting everyone off and through customs. If I remember correctly, part of the issue was that they were also leaving that same day and it was a mess with folks waiting outside in the heat.

Thanks for the info Disney Fantasy! Stops in Venice or Istanbul would be wonderful, but it sounds like it's not going to happen. Hubby just wants to sail to Greece, so hopefully the 12 night option will work time-wise.
