I'm not sure since we haven't done QVR yet (4 times in main dining and once at the CT). I think it is the same food though- when we were at the CT last December we were more observers than anything else and didn't really have any input in the food prep other than our likes/dislikes that we made known when we talked to them prior to our meal. For example, I am not a fungi person so when one of the bread courses was a truffle bread they brought me a brioche as well in case I didn't care for the truffles. Lucky for me, I loved them both! I am interested in trying the QVR because I think it melds the two experiences we have already had - the romance and the intimacy of the main dining room with the out-of-this-world-iness of the CT menu.

Chef's Table is nearly impossible to get. It just gets booked so quickly. It is available to book online because I have done it. The best tips if you have tried to book online and it is unavailable is to call V&A directly to get put on the waiting list for the night/s you will be at WDW. I try to book it online or at least look to see if it is available every single day at 6am. We build our trips around V&A, I have only been fortunate enough to snag Chef's Table one time all of the times I have tried. We are going to be dining at CT in September of this year.

My husband has spoken to the V&A staff on a few occasions and they say every time that the CT is booked by the time they make it in every day. So your best bet may be to try online. If it is already past your 180+ mark then the waiting list may be your only option.

If you are unable to get the CT, I would highly recommend going to the Queen Victoria Room! We have dined in the QVR 3 times and each time was fantastic! We are going to be in there again on the 16th of this month for our Anniversary. If both the CT and QVR are not available I would still go to the Main Dining Room, we will be there on the 13th, 3 days from now. Both rooms are a totally different experience. Yes, QVR, is more exclusive...sort of, but everything in the Main Dining Room is still a spectacular way to spend an evening! Good luck on getting the reservation that you choose! :goodvibes

Thank you for this information and the video.
Is the QV room something I request when I try to book VA?
Do I say CT first (if that is what I want) and then QV room second and then "regular" seating third?

I assume the CT is a set price? For my dd and myself with a bottle of wine or some drinks, what about
am I looking at spending? $250+?

Thank you very much!

The Chef's Table and Queen Victoria Room both cost $210. I'm pretty sure you get the same menu at both, tho there may be some tableside prep/cooking that you won't get at the CT. Either menu will be based on your likes/allergies, etc.
Add $105 for the wine pairing to each.
So a total for $315/pp for either CT or QV.
These prices do not include tax or tip.
I don't know how much a glass of wine or a cocktail will cost, but maybe someone else may.
I tried to guestimate the price for the CT for 2, with the wine pairing, and I came up with about $830 for 2 people with tax & tip. I hope someone who's been before will see this and correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you very much.
So, for the QVR and/or the CT, I am looking at $315 (per person).
If I do the "regular" dining room, I'm looking about the same? $200ish? (per person).
Thank you.

We will be dining for the first time in October. I am a vegetarian (DH is not). I know on the non-veg menu, each course offers you a choice of dish out of 3 options. Does the vegetarian menu allow for a choice as well? My preferences were already noted on my reservation so I am not worried about having something I won't eat/like. Just wondering if there are options per course on the veg menu. Thank you :)

You're very welcome!

Yes Both QVR and CT are $210/pp each. Add $105/pp if you want the wine pairing. If you don't want the full wine pairing, you can get wine or cocktails, beer, pop, etc by the glass. These will cost extra.

The regular dining room costs $135/pp and add on $65/pp if you want the wine pairing. There are fewer courses and wine pours in the main dining room, so it's not quite as expensive. Even tho it's less food/wine, I've heard it's more than enough.

Again, all these prices do not include tax or gratuity. I've never been to either, so I'm learning right along with you.

I've never been, so I can't definitively answer your questions, but you can get a look at the menus here:

Click on the pic of the Vegetarian Menu & it will give you a sample of what you might expect.

How difficult will it be to get reservations for two on Dec 28th for later in the evening (like 9pm)? We'll be booking our ADRs at 6am eastern, 180 days prior to our Dec 26th arrival date.

If you are calling as soon as you can... you might be able to get in - if you are going for a regular table...

If you can't get a ressie... call V&A's directly and ask them to put you on the waiting list for that night... They do get cancellations.

We have gone to V&A the last 2 years on 12/26. I don't remember when we booked it 2 years ago ( but know it was probably august or september). This last december we booked the 9 o'clock in October. I would think if you are booking it at 180 days you will be fine.

Hello everyone! I haven't posted on this thread but I am excited to be eating at V&A's soon! I do have a question though as I have not had the pleasure of eating there before. I have this GORGEOUS floor length dress that I really want to wear lol but I also don't want to be the weirdo in the prom dress. What do people ACTUALLY wear when they dine there and can I get away with my super formal gownish thing? princess:

I've worn floor length formal wear and cocktail dresses. DH has worn a suit and a tux. Wear what you want.

My husband and I ate at V&A a couple of weeks ago
I am vegetarian and he is not
The only course I got offered a choice on was dessert, however, they ran through the whole menu with me course by course when we were first seated and our server made it very clear that if there was something I wasn't keen on, they would happily get me an alternative
I just went with the chefs selections so didn't switch anything out
As you say, the non-vegetarian menu offered lots of choices
Oh another point to note, V&A emailed me a couple of days prior to our dinner to ask me if I would prefer desserts that were prepared without gelatine (which of course I did) so I probably could have pointed out any dishes/items that I particularly didn't like at that point

I booked our CT reservation this morning at 5AM online and got it for December 27th with no problem. If you log onto the site at your 180 day mark and sign in you should be able to see what is available for your stay easily.

Good luck :)

Yep your right. This is close to what we paid in 2010 for the QV rm w. wine pairing after tip. We also opted for a few upcharge courses like Lobster Bisque and an extra glass of wine that we really loved from the pairing. I'm thinking the cost of the extra glass of wine was about $10-$13. This was the most expensive meal I've had to date but well worth it. We're still dining on PBJ sandwiches and frozen pizza's to afford to come back in several more years.

We are going to V&A's at the end of July. I'd like to speak with them in advance about the menu, since I've read you can tell them things you don't wag and they will leave those things out. I have a serious aversion to fennel and would like to tell them to please not offer it to me as an ingredient. I tried to call the phone number several times, but they never answer, just a recording stating to leave your phone number and they will call you. I haven't left them a message since I'm not sure how long it takes for them to respond, and we're frequently not home. So they tend to call back the same day, and within a short time, or is it days later? Is there something I can do online to inform them instead?

V&A acknowledges guests' dietary restrictions and acts accordingly, whether it be based upon choice (a dislike) or a necessity (allergy). So, let them know. Leave a message and inform them of your dietary concern and relative unavailabilty to immediately respond.

All the best. :thumbsup2
