I am afraid not and due to us being busier in this season guests may not get confirmation calls, emails, etc if we don't have the time available. Not trying to be mean, we just are busy beyond belief right now.

Ok thank you. oh dear hope things slow down for you

I can't wait to get to POR on June 7! It's just my dd with me....she's 20, so we don't need any special location. So, this time around, I really didn't make any specific requests. Just a corner room if possible. Love AB, but if I end up in the Mansions, that's ok too. Doesn't matter.....going with the luck of the draw!

We will be there next weekend for our first stay ever. We're going with luck of the draw as well...no special requests. Surprise me!

They have an iPhone no memory card. So that wont work. As far as I know they dont back anything up anymore.

The question was about backing up memory cards onto DVD, so I assumed they were talking about a camera which took cards.

Sorry this is what I read so I may have been confused. My apologies if I read that wrong.

Do they still do this? Maybe they would do it for iPhones too if you bring your cable with you.

Does anyone know if there are ground floor Royal rooms (I think we have a pool view Royal room booked currently)? Alternatively, are there elevators? My mom is joining us and stairs are really hard for her. We will use a wheelchair in the parks but probably not at the resort. Thanks!

It was me not explaining myself properly. I was thinking out loud really. Wondering if they would plug your iphone in using the cable and back up the pictures by making the computer see the iPhone as a memory device. But that's probably too time consuming anyway.

And as mentioned, seems like they don't even backup memory cards anymore either. So ignore everything I said previously :confused3

The June 2014 Recreation Activities and Movie Schedules for Port Orleans Riverside are now available. See my main Recreation Activities Schedule page for full-size PDF version, or click on the image below.

The outdoor movies will start at 9pm and the daily campfires commence at 7pm this month.

You're ok. Really.

All the rooms in both Oak Manor and Parterre Place are Royal rooms, although all but a few of the pool view ones are in Oak Manor. There are pool view rooms on all three floors, and there is an elevator.

We are headed to POR iN October. We are a group of 7 with 2 rooms. We are currently booked for a standard room. My only real request is to please have connection rooms or across the hall from each other...
What would be the best building to ask for is we want to be close to the main pool?
Should we upgrade?

You're not going to be able to get across the hall because there are no halls - all the rooms are outside access. It's really better to ask for what you want (close to main pool) rather than a specific building number because you could get the building you requested but not necessarily be near the main pool.

One thing I forgot to ask. We have a 4:45pm reservation at Ragland Road in Downtown Disney on Monday. What time should we be at the boat dock? 3:45?

Thank you! I won't make a request then since there are elevators so any floor should be ok.

That would be safe since most of the restaurants want you to be there 30 mins before your ressie in case they can seat you early!

Hi yall! My husband and I are taking a belated honeymoon to Disney in November, and we'll be staying at POR. We are so excited! We booked a preferred room and requested a king bed and had the CM helping us make a note that it was a honeymoon trip...

However, after reading this thread, it looks like we maybe should have booked a king room and requested a preferred location? Should we attempt to make some sort of change, or do yall have any suggestions for how we can ensure that we will get a room with a king bed?

Any other suggestions regarding requests that honeymooners should make? Thanks in advance! This board has been so helpful and I'm looking forward to continuing to visit back in the months leading up to our trip! :)

Either way could work out to get a King bed in a good location, but I would suggest booking the category for what is most important to you. It sounds like for you that might be the King bed. That category is slightly cheaper than preferred, and switching should be easy as long as there is availability. Then you can request a location near the lobby and food court.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at WDW and now it is a super special place for us. We found it to be a great place to honeymoon because we could play in the parks or go do something more quiet and secluded. Have a great time!

Here now at POR. River view room... got our request for Alligator bayou (good) and our other request (close to main bldg) in Building 14 (even better) and 2nd floor (still better) and a corner room (better again). Not sure if it helped but we did the notation on the reservation and faxd the request. Room was ready at 12noon too! Not much of a river view but that's OK... we just wanted to be close to the main walkway anyway.

Beautiful resort. Pool is nice. Water slide is a little quick, wish it was longer. Yee Haa Bob was here tonight. He is silly and entertaining. Buses Vary... at the South Depot, sometimes we are the first stop going and coming, sometimes the last stop... one or the other.
