Wonderful pix of Germany and the food looked fabulous!!!
This day started out badly: with packing!
I love roasted garlic! (we better dont mention that I was going to board a nine hours flight across the Atlantic later that day )
I had spaghetti with meatballs as this is something that is not known in Germany. I have had it before and really like it, so once I saw it on the menu, I knew what I wanted!
A week from tomorrow I will leave for Florida.
And I think I need to get some Key Lime Pie!
More a photo album than a TR. I hope you are going to enjoy it!
This is considered one of the most quintessential towns in Germany.
Some of its buildings were used as inspiration for the Germany pavilion at Epcot. It is really rather pretty!

LOVED the pics of Germany! One day my ancestral roots will call me home to Leipzig which is where the Gentsch and Von Hommel branches of my family tree hail from. More please?
Boo to the trip ending but yay for the next one being just around the corner and 4 weeks!!!! WOW
I will say yes I can see why exactly that was the inspiration for the EPCOT pavilion.
Sounds like your holidays were great, with Michael being able to come visit for a while.
I hope I can get back here to wish you Bon Voyage again but safe travels and lots of rest and relaxation and pixie dust.
Always interesting to read things like this, because spaghetti and meatballs feels so common here. But then again, it is a great meal. That's probably why we eat it so much.
This is much better news!
Wow, this looks just like Epcot!
Just kidding above. I can definitely see the influences. What a beautiful town!
DLP hotels are usually rather crazy expensive, but we managed to get a great discount of 40% off through the French website (you can book through any countrys website and they offer varying deals so it makes sense to shop around).
It turned out that the security guard was in search of two people who would be willing to take over someone elses pre-booked tickets. But we would have to be able to pay in cash and the couple in front of us did not have cash. But we did!! I was still a bit suspect, but the security guard came back with real tickets and we gave him the money and he then took us past all the people queuing, even those queuing at the entrance for pre-booked tickets (there was also a line, but a much shorter one) and we were inside. All in all, I think we spent 5 minutes in line!
