Hey everyone. Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I am so glad you enjoyed the intros. DH has a great imagination and loves creative writing. He even writes poetry for me sometimes.

The Quackattack family has been talking about what we want to do on this cruise but no big plans to share yet. We have not even started our countdown. We have been shopping around for pieces we need for our costumes and we have been enjoying movie night with OopsiDaisy and her family. Time to do some serious planning.

Last week's activity was such a simple one, but my family had a ball with it! I ran to the dollar store Friday afternoon and picked up a few Disney puzzles, and we did them after dinner. I am going to apologize in advance, because the first few photos came out blurry and I have no idea why.







They decided to race each other to make it a little more fun...





Brian and Gabe worked as a team:



Charity finished first, but something weird happened...there was a duplicate of one of the puzzle pieces! SHe, being the goober that she is, had to make a funny face with the exta puzzle piece:



Gabe and Brian finished second (and yes, Gabe is a goober, too):



And Jillian finished last...but in her defense, her puzzle was a "shaped one" and she had no help.



Simple activity, but everyone had a great time with it!

But Wait!!! The Disney fun did not end Friday night with our activity...no way, there was more Magic to come! Saturday morning, Quackattack and I headed to the next town over for our very first CRUISE-MEET!

We found out through our cruise group FB page that several of us lived within 20 miles of each other, so we just HAD to meet! We all had breakfast together at the local Panera Bread, and had a great time. Half of us were first time Disney cruisers, and the other half are veteran cruisers, so there was much to talk about. Want to see our group?



Ahem...I was having a VERY bad hair day, so please excuse the brown mop on my head held back with bobby pins...

We had a wonderful time, and plan to do it again soon. Since we posted about it on the FB page, there have been other locals pop up who would like to join us next time. I just think it is so wonderful to be able to get to know these new friends way before the cruise. The cruise is going to be that much more fun when it does get here!

And a few other things to throw in some more PTR fun... I finally got around to putting the DCL logo decal on my car that krdotson made for me a few weeks ago:

Heyyy, we did puzzles yesterday Ty put together a Pirates and mine was Cinderella. Hubby missed out due to work but he has one waiting for him for when he gets home . Thanks again for the list! We are enjoying it!

Fun puzzle night! It's been a long time since I've sat down and worked on a puzzle.

Good work with the weight loss! Now there's no need to go buy a fancy smancy dress because you look fabulous in the ones that you already have.

The puzzles sound like lots of fun, I love doing puzzles! I just finished a 2000 piece Coke one. I think I may be losing my puzzle table for a while because Jim wants it to put together the Legos he bought two weeks ago. I won't even tell you the obscene amount he spent but he got three new sets. He got the White House which is pretty small and he already finished. He also got a train set and the Simpsons house which are both big. The Simpsons one even opens up and you can see each room. I'll have to try to remember to take pictures when he finishes them.

So exciting that you found some cruise friends near you! We got the cruise DVD but have been so busy we haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'm still hoping he will pick the cruise for his 40th but if not, I may have to go on one any way, they sound like so much fun.

Yay for a cruise meet! I'm sure it was lots of fun. It's fun walking around the ship and seeing people you know. Someone in our cruise meet ordered green wrist bands with our cruise name and date on them. It was a great idea and a great way to identify people from our DIS group on the ship.

Isn't that shirt fantastic? My IRL BFF loves me and gave that gem to me about three years ago. It is big and baggy, but I cannot help but smile when I wear it!

All the local Cruise Friends want to meet for coffee about once a month until the cruise. We are also planning one in another location in the state so as to include our east TN cruise friends in May. So excited to get to know these wonderful people before we sail away!

See comment above about me and puzzles... I am so not patient enough for that stuff! That is so cool that Jim is getting into the large lego sets now. Once you work one, you realize that instructions are detailed enough that they really are not that hard to do.

The cruise meet was a blast, and we plan to continue to keep them up until sail away in October.

Mickey mail has been keeping the postman busy this past week...I have sent some, and yesterday I got some!!

Our family got some fun magic mail from our favorite Canandian, Cheekypoppins, and her family.

She sent the cutest, most magical note card:



She sent a costume for Gabe (which may or may not be a hint as to what our family costumes will be for Halloween on the High Seas ) :



She also sent fun stuff and treats for everyone:

I used to live in one of the states that had front and back tags, it was indeed no fun at all. The saving grace was that vanity tags were not that much more to get, so you could have fun stuff as your tag numbers.

So, "my boss" is hosting a huge event on campus today...do we all know what that means? That means "I" am the one who has been working like a mad woman for the past two weeks trying to pull this thing together, so that he looks good in front of all his business and banking friends. I have greatly missed my Dis and FB friends, but I am trying to catch up now.

Work has been crazy and busy, but home has been just fine. We have still had lots of fun, and I have photodocumented it for your pleasure.

First of all, I wanted to show you that I have now put a certain Disney goody on my car:

On to our next weekly Disney activity. Last week we played Disney Infinity on the Wii...
