WISH Away the Pounds *~*Fabulous February Challenge*~* Everyone Welcome <3

I am scheduled to work tomorrow, so if I don't have a snow day, I'm not sure exactly when I'll be popping on. For those on the east coast who are currently experiencing this storm and to those who are awaiting its arrival.... STAY SAFE, STAY WARM, and STAY ON TRACK! Don't let the weather give you any excuses! If I am home tomorrow I am COMMITTING to a double workout... TM time AND circuit training. PLEASE hold me to it! Remind me, cajole me, berate me! Love to you all.... TTY tomorrow...................P

Yes we will most likely have a snow day tomorrow. BOO!!

Sorry the scale was worse than you thought. You've done great in keeping the weight off for 5 years and you have the tools to do it again. Maybe it was just a reminder of where you don't want to be again.

I'll remind you about the TM then you remind me. I have had no motivation to do anything physical and have completely gotten lazy with my eating and the scale is showing me just how lazy I have been. DS17 is sitting here yelling at me to go run. Disneyworld in 1 week! I need to eat clean for the next 7 days!!

What is crazy is that last year I would not have walked outside at those temps! My thermometer has been reset. Yesterday it was in the 20s, lows single digits. I think our normal at this time of the year should already be int he 50s....But the sun was so beautiful today. And fwiw, I walked in the street. Most of the sidewalks were still snow covered and I am terrified of falling. I fell last week on the ice and luckily landed firmly on my bottom--lots of padding.:rotfl:

LOL I have lots of padding there too!
I don't think it was super cold today, I know it was -1 overnight but it felt so raw today. When I went to pick up the kids today I was shivering uncontrollably even though I was inside. It's just a short walk from the parking lot to the school but I was cold down to the bone.

Good Morning Wishers!! Today is WHOOO HOOO Wednesday http://s48.photobucket.com/user/bigsis1970/media/motivation/reward_zps8f408e0a.jpg.html Please share your victories both big and small - we should celebreate them all according to my WW leader.. while we are like Yeah I lost 5 lbs we should also be like Yeah I choose the apple and not the cookie! so peeps lets share!! Be back at lunchtime for replies!!

Victories. Well let's see Im a runner going on three years now. I've run 14 half marathons, 15 if you count the race I had to pull up in.

I've also run a couple of full marathons. Including the San Francisco Marathon back in 2011. Despite being told by several people close to me that I couldn't and shouldn't do it. Hah if you ever want to get the fire lit under me tell me I can't do something I will try to prove you wrong as much as possible. Especially if it's running related!

Also today I went to a support meeting and got my answer as to why I've been so darn hungry so often. And it's not just the liquids. Lack of fiber. Thank god for trainers who have done this surgery before and can spot the problem from a mile away! Now I just have to ask my nutritionist about using Benafiber and start actually using beeth broth.

Hope everyone had a great hump day!

Wow, today was another crazy day. However, I really have no complaints. I got on the scale this morning and had another loss but I'm hoping for a few more ounces by weigh-in on Friday. Another plus is that I had really good energy today. I multitasked like the dickens and still had enthusiasm by day's end even though I stayed late.

My energy carried over to home because I made myself a yummy dinner, real food even! Not that I don't always eat real food, it's just that I'm often so exhausted by the time I get home I just throw something simple together like a salad or some such. I mean, it was nothing fancy tonight, I pan roasted some asparagus with bacon, grape tomatoes, garlic, kosher salt, red pepper flakes, balsamic vinegar then topped it all with some parmegianno regiano cheese. So simple but so good!

So that brings me to the QOTD. Celebrating the small victories. After work I picked up Taco Bell for my sons. Yeah, I know. Soon enough they're going to be doing a modified version of what I am so they're getting it in while they can. I condone junk food in my home but they're adults and do pretty well with food choices so I don't freak out if it's only once in a blue moon. I call Taco Bell garbage food, no offense to anyone who likes it.:) That being said sometimes I eat the garbage food just to fill my tummy but I resisted today. Actually I wasn't even tempted, didn't want it, didn't need it. In fact my sons were jealous of my asparagus.

Afternoon, everyone! :yay:

Feeling much better today. A day off was just what I needed. Having a strange day, though. I know I am smaller - my weight is going down, and my inches are as well. But, I'm in that weird period where certain parts of my body haven't quite caught on to the changes.

I am... lumpy... :rotfl:

So, my clothes are fitting kinda weirdly - still snug in some places, large in others... it is quite the transitional period LOL

I'm also a little concerned that I'm not eating ENOUGH. I've been consistently lower than my WW target for the past two weeks, every day. When I splurge on the weekend, I'm only going about 5-6 points over my daily target. I feel great - I'm never starving or feeling deprived. In fact, a lot of the time I feel full after meals that used to leave me wanting more. I just don't want to do this the wrong way, you know? :confused3

Then again, my PP target hasn't changed since I was 10 pounds heavier... Thoughts from any WWers?

Happy Birthday to Mr. Lincoln! Tomorrow is Madly in Love with Me day!! It is a day to celebrate Self-Love! I, for one, am SUPER excited! I used to be a SELF-LOVE ambassador in college each year, and I was always very happy to take a day just for MOI!

Just to give you a little more reason to love yourself - and encourage your female friends, daughters, mothers, etc to love themselves as well:

1 in 3 women will be in an abusive relationship before the age of 20. 80% will return.
1 in 3 women will be sexually abused.
4 of 5 girls will think about dieting before 4th grade.
Almost 1 out of 2 women will suffer through a divorce. 20% in the first 5 years of marriage.
80% of women are so exhausted that they are headed for extreme adrenal gland fatigue.
Women surveyed today are no happier than women surveyed in 1970, even though they have more equality, self esteem and freedom.

So - why not take the extra time tomorrow to do something that makes you feel empowered?! Tell your reflection all the things you've done that make you proud. Tell yourself all the reasons you find yourself beautiful. Wear something that you feel great in - even if it is your largest, coziest sweater.

And of course - encourage your friends to love themselves, too, by telling them why you love them! After all, it is also Galentine's Day tomorrow - for those of you who don't watch Parks and Recreation, it is a day to celebrate Lady Friends. :grouphug:

Aaaaaand end diatribe!

Thank you so much for reminding us of this. I think many of us who struggle with weight are sometimes too hard on ourselves when we have minor setbacks so then we fall into a vicious cycle of guilt, eating the wrong things and more guilt. Or we focus too much on our physical imperfections which affects our self esteem. I'm going to try to remember what you said when I'm struggling.

So, the world already looks much better here - and so far my eating has been excellent!!

QOTD:

First, I really liked your saying about rewards!! And thanks for the reminder that even little victories are something to be proud of!

My two things today are that I walked to lunch 10 minutes there and 10 minutes back (took me 15 minutes today...), it felt so good to be moving again!

And then that I have managed to go to bed earlier and therefore get up earlier, so that I can have a healthy breakfast before work. Partly I have been forced to do that as I need to take my medication in the morning and it has to be taken with a meal. But the going to bed in time is something I have struggled with over the last weeks, so I am very happy about this!!

AWESOME!!!:yay:

I DID hit the TM for 30 minutes yesterday. It should have been more, but it was what I could fit easily into my day and it was better than nothing.

P
Good for you! small victorys:cheer2:

Oh, lessee--I stayed on the elliptical 40 minutes instead of a 1/2 hour and still made it back home on time for the olympics.
WOOT WOOT!!! :woohoo:

Just to give you a little more reason to love yourself - and encourage your female friends, daughters, mothers, etc to love themselves as well:

My Woo-Hoo Wednesday is that I went down a notch on my watch. Not quite the same as going down a pants size or a shirt size, but since it is so cold, that I wear 2 pairs of pants each day, that's a little bit harder to measure LOL

Plus, its my Mickey watch, so that makes me feel even better!
:woohoo:

LOVE the Love yourself stuff!! Thanks for sharing that - I hope your signed up for coaching sometime soon!! YAY a notch down on your Mickey watch is super!!!! keep it up!!pixiedust:

Wednesday QOTD: I guess a small victory for me today is that I went to Curves and worked out this morning.

I had worked out Monday evening and yesterday around noon. Then I got a terrible stomach ache yesterday afternoon and ended up having to call in sick to work last night. I woke up with a throbbing headache this morning, but just laid in bed and managed to fall back asleep. I woke up again around 9:15 and was feeling much better. I had a small bowl of cereal and still felt fine, so I decided to go ahead and work out even though I wasn't sure if it was a very good idea. I felt a little weak because I didn't eat much yesterday, but I'm feeling ok overall and planning to go to work tonight.

DD14 stayed home from school today not feeling well, so we must have had a little bug of some sort. Hopefully everyone else in the house stays healthy!
GREAT Job on working going to Curves even if you were not 100%, that is commitment :goodvibes

WOOHOO Wednesday!!!

All the kids went to school today!!! And I found my Wonder Woman shirt for the 5K.
.
YES Wonder WOMAN!!!!! you go girl!!!! :cheer2:

Woohoo Wednesday-- I was gonna say I got nothing....one of those days. But then I remembered I walked outside for 75 minutes (it was 37 and sunny today) which is less than I had scheduled for the day, but more than I wanted to do (which is nothing!).
AWEOME Jill Keep it up!!!! :dance3:

Okay.... just have to tell you what a chuckle the quote gave me yesterday.... and it was appropriate because yesterday's WW topic was about not giving into emotional eating.

Tough week to be talking about victories, but I guess my victory would be facing the music on the scale AND not giving in to self-sabotage with food!

Love to you all.... TTY tomorrow...................P
Tough as it was you are brave to have faced and owned it!! Now you can just move on and go forward! and great job to not give in with food!!! it's so easy sometimes and I know I am prone to doing it quite often!! Kudos!! :thumbsup2

Wow Lots to Woo Hoo for you!!:dance3: that is quite an accomplished list of marathons!!! I'm glad you found out why you might be soo hungry!! pixiedust:

.

GREAT JOB your dinner sounded delish!! and maybe next time your boys will ask what are you making before sending you off for Taco Bell if they were jealous!!:dance3:

well I never answered the QotD myself sooo my victory was that even though I am not at 100% I did my normal workout routine (abs, arms, legs twice) then went to walk on the treadmill for my last 20 mins well I actually ran for 5 of those minutes - felt like my Lungs were going to explode and that I might hurl .. but I didn't.. and I felt soo much better afterward - till about 7pm then my head stuff came back with a vengance and I was in bed asleep by 9pm but I am feeling much much better today!!!

I really liked the quote above! it's helping me stay on track and keep going when I am getting discouraged.. this helped me put it in perspective

So according to this which one of these weeks do you fall into? are you the only one who can notice, do your friends and family notice yet or how about the rest of the world?

Be back later to check in...

I was at week 8, but now I feel like I'm back to week 4. I'm hoping to be back at 8 week soon!!

Good morning, all! Working from home today due to the crazy weather. The snow is so thick, my entire window is filled with it! Literally - you can only see one inch outside!!! Excited to have a day in, without being sick! :)

Less nervous for the weigh-in tomorrow, and more nervous for my measurements. But, trying to stay positive!!!

Happy Galentine's Day everyone! Hope everyone has been doing lots of self-love today! :cheer2: Tomorrow is of course, Valentine's Day. As a single woman, I'm trying to do something special for myself tomorrow. I try to avoid going out on V-Day due to the overwhelming amount of couples haha So, I'm trying to come up with a special treat for myself that doesn't involve lots of chocolate. Maybe a little bit of chocolate? :rotfl2: Any ideas?

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU..... it is much appreciated!!:grouphug:

Of course! We're always here for you to whine! I'll bring the cheese! =P

You really should try hard to be hitting at least your daily PointsPlus target at the minimum....especially if you are exercising. You can skip your earned activity points and skip your weekly 49 PPV, but you really should try to hit your daily target, at least 4-5 days a week.

Try bumping up the portions of healthy oils and fats... that is SURE to bring you closer to your target. Or change out some of your LOW FAT dairy choices for full fat.

It may help your weight loss for a few weeks (eating BELOW your daily target), but in the long run you are turning down the "heat" on your metabolism and it will catch up with you. Your metabolism will slow down and you will hit a plateau because your body is trying to conserve every calorie for the "famine" that it feels is coming!

I knew my WISH mother hens would help me out on this one! I'm going to try and stick to the whole 29 points Friday - Monday to start. When I don't hit all my points, its only about 3-4 less, so I'll try to up that to 1-2 less, and then I'll go from there. Thanks, Pamela!!!!

I mean, it was nothing fancy tonight, I pan roasted some asparagus with bacon, grape tomatoes, garlic, kosher salt, red pepper flakes, balsamic vinegar then topped it all with some parmegianno regiano cheese. So simple but so good!

That sounds delicious! And WAY better than Taco Ball! WTG! :woohoo:

Thanks!

That's awesome! 5 whole minutes of running?! Seriously - and I mean this with no sarcasm, when I first started running, 5 minutes was the biggest accomplishment. That's AWESOME! Way to go! And glad it made you feel better!

So according to this which one of these weeks do you fall into? are you the only one who can notice, do your friends and family notice yet or how about the rest of the world?

What a great quote! I'm in week 6, so I've noticed, and a few people who I haven't seen in a long time have as well. But, I'm excited because we have a big family event in Week 9, and I'm hoping to buy something new to wear to show off my progress, whether it be big or small! :)

I do have to go shopping this weekend for some socks and other things that are too big on me - yay!

I've only been going to the gym for 3 weeks and mostly only 3 days so Thanks it does feel like a big deal ..

Oh fun shopping!!! I am sure in when you go to the family event some will notice what you've been doing to take care of yourself!

maybe you can get a Mani or Pedi or both - what a treat for you that you will appreciate tomorrow? or a haircut, or just the wash and blowdry.. man I love going to the salon and having them wash my hair..LOL..

We are getting out early today because of the Nor'easter that has hit the east coast .. we are expecting 8-14 inches and I am not sure if I'll be in the office.. SOOOO I am going to post tomorrows question right now and feel free to answer on both.. take care friends :) Michelle

I guess I'd be in the first group. I'm a social hermit, so no one is going to notice but hubby and I. No biggie though, I'm okay with that. I'm doing this for me anyways.

Pulled out my old jeans that are a size smaller than the ones I currently wear, and was happy to notice that I can almost get them zipped. That felt pretty good.

Baked some cookies yesterday, and have cookies and brownies to bake today. Kills me to not be able to taste anything since I'm a perfectionist when it comes to baking, but hubby was a good sport and took one for the team. If he says it's good, then it'll do. :rotfl2: I was a good girl. Normally I'd eat several spoonfuls of homemade buttercream, but I didn't even lick my fingers.

Still waiting for my body to be over the stall that BBQ sandwich caused. I'm seriously flabbergasted that 10 small squares of meat coated in BBQ sauce plus two or three forkfulls of coleslaw has turned into 5 days of no weightloss despite being perfectly within carb and calorie limits. Will make it that much easier next time to say "no thank you" to any cheats.

Tired of snow. Tired of rain. Tired of stupidly low temps. Is it time for spring yet?

I know this is a day early but we are getting out of work early today and I don't know if I am coming in tomorrow so I wanted you all to have a question.. feel free to answer either today or tomorrow and I hope to be back for replies soon.

SO I thought this quote was really funny.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DO you make your fat cry?? I sure do.. sometimes I am soo dreached at the end of my workout it looks like I took a shower already instead of needing one! but man those are the ones that make me feel really good!!

Happy SNOW DAY everyone!

I told myself that I could NOT come and chat with you all until I had done at least HALF of my "promised" workout.... but I was feeling lazy and I was afraid I'd do half and then quit.... so I did it all. It wasn't exactly "Biggest Loser" worthy, but it was a solid workout.... half TM, half free weights/circuit training. I hated EVERY MINUTE of it, but it is done and I admit I am glad I did it and pushed myself on the TM. I have lost a TON of conditioning with my laxadaisical approach to exercise lately, but spring will be here before I know it (at least, I HOPE) and I will be anxious to be OUTSIDE walking and running.

Snowing like mad right now... it started about 6 am and has just increased and increased all day and now it is pretty heavy.

Bed is made, laundry is moving along, breakfast and lunch are eaten and cleaned up. Up next???? Not sure yet.... have lots I SHOULD do, lots I WANT to do, and then everything in between! I'll do a little of each I think.

I hope you are all warm and safe today! I'll bb in a minute with replies!........P

Be back later to check in...

I only notice because my pants are fitting better. I have upped my weights at the gym though.

Mine was a ham sandwich. You are made of steel resisting your baking...
Yeah we're done with the snow but now it's raining all week so I still can't ride my bike to work.
I know this is a day early but we are getting out of work early today and I don't know if I am coming in tomorrow so I wanted you all to have a question.. feel free to answer either today or tomorrow and I hope to be back for replies soon.

DO you make your fat cry?? I sure do.. sometimes I am soo dreached at the end of my workout it looks like I took a shower already instead of needing one! but man those are the ones that make me feel really good!!

I actually noticed yesterday I was sweating. I had the fan on me but not full on the elliptical so that'd explain that, and I've upped my weights lately so it was a bit more strenuous maybe.

Well, I ended up just putting 2 gigantic bandaids on because after I washed it I knew that's what it needed. Got a lot of looks, questions, and best of all sympathy....:charac2:
Husband cleared off his side of the headboard so that my side wasn't the only path to the bed from the windowsill and Kiara seems fine sleeping in the spare bedroom at night. I thought about it a lot actually and I think this was her way of telling me something needed to be done about that. I did just trim her nails so it wasn't as bad as it could have been and this new 7 I took on just don't have the same manners as the rest-- I could have really been hurt by one of them. She's very old and used to be the dominant cat--who knows what's in a cats head...

Green with envy here! I would love to walk outside but it is just to darn cold and people need to learn how to shovel their sidewalks!! LOL

SIDEWALKS??? What are those? At least you have them (even if they are under 12" of snow!)! No such thing here in the woods of NH. When I go out for a walk/run, it is on road.... and when there are snowbanks to dodge, it is nearly in the MIDDLE of the road!

Glad you didn't get hurt in the fall! I know what you mean about resetting your temp. It has been such a cold miserable winter here, that I'm sure that the first time it is 40 degrees, I'll be outside in my t-shirt!:beach: ..... actually, probably more like.....:laundy: :lmao:

Yes we will most likely have a snow day tomorrow. BOO!!

Sorry the scale was worse than you thought. You've done great in keeping the weight off for 5 years and you have the tools to do it again. Maybe it was just a reminder of where you don't want to be again.

I'll remind you about the TM then you remind me. I have had no motivation to do anything physical and have completely gotten lazy with my eating and the scale is showing me just how lazy I have been. DS17 is sitting here yelling at me to go run. Disneyworld in 1 week! I need to eat clean for the next 7 days!!

Just 7 more days??!! WOW! Come on.... you can pull it together and finish STRONG! Just 21 meals (assuming you eat breakfast every day) of good healthy foods! Let the kiddos eat PB&J every day if it makes things easier for you! I see lots of apples, spinach, and green tea ahead this week!

Okay.... I already posted about doing my whole double workout (although I'll be the first to admit it wasn't super long).... did you get on the TM yet? You won't regret it!!

Just a quick FYI about the Benefiber (or any kind of added fiber).... start SLOWLY with it... it is really gas-inducing! And try looking at different kinds of fiber.... psyllium (in Metamucil primarily) is also a good one, although it is higher in carbs I believe. If you need fiber to feel fuller, couldn't you make a vegetable soup and blend it? That would give you some great natural fiber.
Honstly, I must admit that I'm not sure what your limitations are right now (other than the fact that you are on liquids).

It IS garbage food.... and maybe you need to remind your kiddos about that next time they ask for it. But nice job leading by example. :thumbsup2

That's what we are all here for.... supporting each other through our struggles!

Tough as it was you are brave to have faced and owned it!! Now you can just move on and go forward! and great job to not give in with food!!! it's so easy sometimes and I know I am prone to doing it quite often!! Kudos!! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I plan on doing another weigh-in for this month, even though I am not expected to.... and I'm going to show my boss what I am made of!!

well I never answered the QotD myself sooo my victory was that even though I am not at 100% I did my normal workout routine (abs, arms, legs twice) then went to walk on the treadmill for my last 20 mins well I actually ran for 5 of those minutes - felt like my Lungs were going to explode and that I might hurl .. but I didn't.. and I felt soo much better afterward - till about 7pm then my head stuff came back with a vengance and I was in bed asleep by 9pm but I am feeling much much better today!!!

WOOHOO on the run! It is a great accomplishment! Sorry you were feeling icky but glad you got some extra sleep.

Well... unfortunately for me I am at the point where I am afraid that people are starting to notice the pounds that are coming back on! Honestly, on my scale at home I haven't hit that "scary-dreaded, vow-to-never-see-again number" (although it is close), so I'm really up less than a total of 5 pounds from my actual WW goal.... but since I like to stick closer to 2-3 pounds UNDER my goal and that is where I was right before Christmas, it is actually closer to an 8 pound gain (from my perspective) and it is just SCARY that 6 years of working hard at this and nearly 5 years of maintaining and it is feeling like I am starting down that slippery slope.... even though my eating really is still very, very good!

You're gonna rock the weigh-in and the measuring! Remember all those cold nights without heat?? Your body was burning extra calories trying to stay warm those nights!!:thumbsup2

If you don't have gal friends to hang out with tomorrow (or even guy FRIENDS), how about a splurge night for yourself? A nice OP take-out dinner, perhaps a light cocktail (if that is something you enjoy), maybe a Redbox movie or a long bath.... you could even splurge on a mani-pedi or a new book. You are special and WONDERFUL and if you don't have anyone there to let you know that, then you need to spoil yourself!! :flower3:

Of course! We're always here for you to whine! I'll bring the cheese! =P

As long as it is low-fat cheese, that is great!! :rotfl2:

I knew my WISH mother hens would help me out on this one! I'm going to try and stick to the whole 29 points Friday - Monday to start. When I don't hit all my points, its only about 3-4 less, so I'll try to up that to 1-2 less, and then I'll go from there. Thanks, Pamela!!!!

Try it for a week (hitting your daily PP target) and see how it goes. HOnestly, sometimes it is scary to start adding those Points back in.... it feels like TOO MUCH food.... but try it for ONE WEEK. If you are really concerned, make sure it is really HEALTHY calories that you are adding, so at least you can think about how well you are treating your body and brain!

Sometimes just CARING about what you wear and wearing something that fits properly can make a BIG difference!! (Ever watch "What Not To Wear"??)

Okay friends! I'm caught up.... I see that DD is sending me a FB message (she had classes today, despite the snowstorm...:confused3). TTYL......P

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm out there what with all the severe weather. I live in Southern California and it's been in the mid 70s this week. My sons were just commenting on how fun it would be live where it snows.:rolleyes2

Had a pretty good day today although I didn't have breakfast other than string cheese and coffee. I know weird combo but better than nothing. I did well with lunch and dinner though.

I'm still nearly completed 4 weeks of being on Atkins. I'm starting to feel the difference in my clothing but no one is noticing my loss yet so the QOTD is very timely. Guess I'll have to see what happens in another month!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I am so sorry to hear how much the winter is beating all of you in the US this year! It seems like here in Germany we had winter only for three days in January. And that was that - at least I hope, I don't want masses os snow in March! This weekend we are supposed to get highs in the 50s! Unfortunately this also means that seasonal allergies are already in full force...

My scale likes me at the moment, I think I am still slightly above my February start date, but at least I did not put on 4 pounds thanks to the injury as I had feared!

Eating is really good as well. Am rather proud of myself that I am back to eating slower and smaller portions. I realised that even though I cut down on portion size, my portions are still too big. I tend to make up bulk with veggies. While healthy this also means that I still stuff a lot into me and if I eat stuff that is not mainly veggies, I tend to keep those big portions. Would be helpful for maintaining if I were used to portions being smaller anyway as it will help me to stop eating in time.

Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Sure it would be fun.... for a few days... then the reality of shoveling YET AGAIN would set in! SO envious of your weather!

I'm still a volume eater as well.... but now my volume is veggies. I think that I can be satisfied with smaller quantities of food at times, but sometimes it is SO SATISFYING to fill my bowl! And as long as I am not feeling STUFFED and NOT eating volumes of calorie-dense foods, I think it is okay.

The dinner I made myself on Wedneday night was HUGE.... but I ate it all without feeling stuffed (I was really hungry!) and it was 90% veggies so I feel okay about it. I sauteed a medium sweet onion, a red bell pepper, garlic, and a large eggplant (yup, the whole thing) in cooking spray. When it was nearly done, I added two low fat chicken sausages (diced) to the pan. When the sausage was done I topped it with a handful of baby spinach and a scoop of spaghetti sauce. I let the spinach wilt and then ATE! The only Points I had to count was the sausage (the spaghetti sauce was homemade without sugar) and I was able to fill my bowl THREE TIMES for very few PPV. It was a VERY satisfying dinner and as such, I was able to control my evening snacking even better. Plus I got at least 8 serving of veggies in one meal!

Well HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! Hope you all have some LOVE in your life today, even if it is just loving yourself!!

We started the day at 5:30 am with a call that there would be a 2 hour school delay....and by 7 am that had changed to a cancellation. It is still snowing and blowing here, although it is due to end soon. I'm supposed to be on the road by noon to go pick up DD, so I hope that is true!

I will probably try to hit the TM for a bit, before showering and heading out the door....otherwise it will be a day with just a lot of SITTING (in the car). And I just realized last night that I am on the last part of my last audio book, so I will need to build in a few minutes to either stop at the library or at the thrift store as I head out of town!

Busy weekend ahead....... both of the kids need to be places over the weekend, it is the end of build season for the robotics team, and DS leaves for CR on Wednesday so I need to finish packing his suitcase (yes, I know he should be doing it himself.... oh well :rolleyes1 ). DH is away tomorrow for an informal high school reunion, so that leaves me to do lots of driving. I don't mind, it just makes things a bit more hectic.

The scale moved down just a bit today.... not enough to be satisfying, but enough to at least know things are going in the right direction. With DS leaving for CR and school vacation coming up soon, I will have to be extra diligent that I don't let all of this be excuses to not eat right and to avoid exercise.

Off to get my coffee and get started with today's laundry....................P

This has been a bad week for me. I have been so sick I couldn't work out and nothing healthy sounded good to eat so it was a lot of carbs. I hope next week I can start to exercise some but I will not be able to go full out as I have a really bad sinus infection and cant breath.

It seems like I always get sick right when I start working out.

So according to this which one of these weeks do you fall into? are you the only one who can notice, do your friends and family notice yet or how about the rest of the world?

I'm in week 12 but I feel like I'm in week 0. :lmao:

I was at week 8, but now I feel like I'm back to week 4. I'm hoping to be back at 8 week soon!!

You will be, Buffy! :cheer2:

A week from now we will be done with our 5k! princess:

Good morning, all! Working from home today due to the crazy weather. The snow is so thick, my entire window is filled with it! Literally - you can only see one inch outside!!! Excited to have a day in, without being sick!

Stay safe in the crazy weather! :flower3:

We are getting out early today because of the Nor'easter that has hit the east coast .. we are expecting 8-14 inches and I am not sure if I'll be in the office.. SOOOO I am going to post tomorrows question right now and feel free to answer on both.. take care friends :) Michelle

You stay safe, too, Michelle! Thanks for coaching this week! :flower3:

Baked some cookies yesterday, and have cookies and brownies to bake today. Kills me to not be able to taste anything since I'm a perfectionist when it comes to baking, but hubby was a good sport and took one for the team. If he says it's good, then it'll do. :rotfl2: I was a good girl. Normally I'd eat several spoonfuls of homemade buttercream, but I didn't even lick my fingers.

Kudos to you for your willpower! :thumbsup2

I prefer to think of it as glowing! princess:

Kudos to you for getting on the TM. :yay: Your conditioning will come back faster than you know. ::yes::

I only notice because my pants are fitting better. I have upped my weights at the gym though.

:woohoo: for better fitting pants! :yay: Sorry for your injury! :flower3:

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm out there what with all the severe weather. I live in Southern California and it's been in the mid 70s this week. My sons were just commenting on how fun it would be live where it snows.:rolleyes2

LOL growing up in Anaheim we absolutely longed for snow. :beach:

Same to you, Pamela! :flower3:

Stay safe all you folks who are in the snow and pixiedust: for speedy healing for all our sick folks!

Ugh! Up this week, but it's not unexpected. My weekend with my sister was wonderful, but we did indulge more than I'd planned for her birthday - lots of social eating, which is where I have the hardest time!

And then the winter continued - I got on the bike inside, which is great, but I am really missing running, especially with my next half just a month away! I'm going to one of our county rec centers this weekend to get a per-use pass so I can get on a treadmill and get the miles in. There's just too much ice here, and running in the roads is a Very Bad Idea. But I need to get those miles in!

DD-almost-7's birthday is Sunday, and we're gearing up! Valentine's dinner out with the family tonight, and then she has a movie party tomorrow - 10 little girls at the Lego Movie, I can't wait!

XO
Liz
