Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Not as spectacular as some of the others, but with with little artistic ability (completely unable to draw a straight line), my family is satisfied. The pink ones are covered in Sally Hansen iridescent and look awesome. For bebeZach, I tried to make an Olaf but my white nail polish was gloppy. Luckily at two, he's got low standards.

Olaf is my favorite! You did a great job incorporating Mickey's head for his face.

I wouldn't risk it. For me, the top coat seemed to act almost like a solvent, so I don't think dry-time would matter. I think that's why people have been using nail art pens.

I hate to "hear" that for CanadianPaco. Maybe just sharpies with no top coat. I'm sure they would require updating during the stay, but ???.

Or look at what markers or pens work well for art journals. ones that could withstand a coating of mod podge. they should be able to withstand a coat of clear nailpolish. hmm or perhaps if you put a layer of clear nail polish down first then did your designs with sharpie then the top coat?

Hahhahahaha hey I know you!!!:) :)

Love the snowman, that's amazing!! I want to do one for D in June!!

I am so impressed with everyones bands. Thought I would share my band from my most recent trip.

Simple...but it worked out and the rhinestones even made it through for the most part.

:hyper: Ok, so I customized my MB, agonised over the color way more than I should have, :scratchin:rolleyes2: but now I want to see the bling I'll be able to put on it in 40 days! :hyper: So anyone with pics of the cover wraps or slip-on/snap-on, please post! :)

I'll have to pull pics of ours when I get home tonight. The covers are "slip on" and are a little tricky, just fyi. The jibbitz are adorable. We just got back from a last minute trip, since we all had gray bands, we got covers for all, and the kids got the jibbitz. DH has tiki birds, I have Small World, dd15 has Haunted Mansion with jewel Mickey heads, and dd13 has Mickey print with Mickey earhats jibbitz (came with Mickey, Minnie and Princess ears, she managed to lose one Saturday).

I find the snap bling are horribly designed. I lost one within the first hour. If these are intended to be used by children they will need to come up with a better way to ensure they don't "disappear" or there will be even more crying children at the world.

Questions here.

We will get the bands upon arrival at the resort.
If I use nail polish to paint on the bands, will they dry off the next morning? I don't intend to do the whole thing, just a few dots here and there.

Those nail decoration stickers: do they stay on the band alright or are tiny blinks better? Do I need to superglue them on, or just use the their own adhesive back?

I'm a bit irritated that as international guests we don't get ours shipped so factor drying time into this, it makes it almost a no-go for us. But if I could, I would :)

OMG, that's an AWESOME idea!!!!!! I`ll just bring some glitter nail polish, should be less time drying.

THANK YOU for that link!!!!!!!! I was looking for the official ones they sell in the park but that's amazing!

Be cautious with the bling, and don't be afraid to speak up! My family of 5 was so excited by the snap on accents during our Christmas trip that we each bought a pack and shared with one another. By day 3, 50% of them were gone. At first I thought it was just the kids being careless until I lost 2 in one afternoon. I went to a store to ask (nicely) to speak to a manager about them. She recommended that I bring my receipts to guest services.

The next day I brought all the receipts to guest services, explained that they were falling off, and they gave me my money back on a gift card. 100% of my money was refunded, even though we still had half of the charms.

They said that they are in testing, and this type of feedback really helps. I was glad I went in. I'm typically not a complainer, but this was money the kids paid on their own and then willingly shared with one another.

They literally fall off at the most random times. I TRIED to knock them off forcefully and they held tight. Then my daughter brushed against my purse and hers popped off. They must loosen little by little and then fall off.

Wish I had thought to do this! I bought two sets of the little snap on bling and since I was wearing a backpack, every time I pulled it on or off for an attraction, one of the bling would pop off the band. I was able to catch it usually and snap it back into place. I tried adjusting the position of the band, I tried changing the arm I was wearing it on, but to no avail.

Finally one popped off without my noticing and it was gone forever. :( Ended up throwing the rest in my pocket and didn't use them for the rest of the trip. Bummed, because they're so cute! I should have gone and complained but it didn't occur to me.

Slightly OT, it was VERY cold when I was in Epcot last month and my hands were freezing and very dry, so I bought a pair of those ridiculous Kermit mittens with the eye balls. WELL by the end of the day, I was down to one eyeball! Three of them had pulled off the mittens and were lost forever. I DID end up going back to the vendor to complain. He gave me brand new ones and sent me on my way. Was super glad to have them. :)

There's skull and crossbones Duck tape--DS has a roll.... ;). I'm stunned that I didn't think of this. My kids put tape on everything! Once it's stuck, water's not taking it off. Haven't you ever duct-taped a water hose?? Maybe that's just a redneck thing...hahahahha. I see Duck bands in our future...

Glad I found this thread, it is full of awesome ideas. I love the Stitch one so much! I have no talent for painting so I'd probably go with glittery nail polish.
