I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

I like your hair! I am partial to red, we've got a lot of redheads in my family. I know what you mean about getting bored, hair is so easy to change.

I am not at all creative, so I can't offer you any suggestions for characters, but your Frozen look is great!

Love the hair... But I think I said that on FB already!!! I'd love to see a Little Mermaid makeup look... It would be great with the read hair!!

We will be in FL (not Disney, unfortunately) until the 19th... I wish I could stay down there and hitch a ride back to IL in your dad's über efficient car!!!

Still digging the red hair, it looks great!

As for Disney inspired looks, I am not one to talk much either because I'm terrible at makeup - which makes me sad. I'm trying to learn now, but I'm just terrible.

That disclaimer aside, what about ride-inspired? If you're going to Epcot, you could do a old TT blue and yellow, or a Nemo inspired blue/green/orange. At AK, earth tones for EE (or for AK itself!). Maybe an HM inspired look, with dark purples and deep grays. Or TTA, silver/white/blue.

Love your new hair! I'm partial to red myself and I never maintain it the way I should! I actually had red streaks put in it before we went to Disney in October, which was pointless because I wore it up everyday so you couldn't even see it.... and it's basically completely faded now. I did my whole head a few years ago and I loved it...I'm thinking about doing it again.

I do the same thing with my eye makeup! I use colors that remind me of a certain character! I did blue/teal shadow with purple liner for Sulley once and it came out pretty cool, and I did gold and brown with green eyeliner for a Lion King theme when I went to see it when it was released in 3D in the theater! :thumbsup2

Considering I wouldn't know what to do with even a lipstick I probably shouldn't be giving any suggestions on make up inspirations. :lmao: Perils of the Y chromosome I suppose. I was trying to make a pony tail for DD this evening for her gymnastics class and I struggled for about 15 minutes before coming up with a half baked tie. DD7 immediately sensed it and said "Oh great, I bet I now look like a clown!" :rotfl:

Your new hair color looks great! :thumbsup2

Your trip is getting so close which means ours isn't far behind!! :cool1:

Hahaha, yeah, lets just err on the side of caution and say you don't need to recommend any looks.

That's too funny about your DD!

Wow! Your hair looks great!!!! I totally know what you mean about getting bored - I have to change all the time. I never do red because I fear the up-keep.

The make-up thing is awesome! I'm actually kind of jealous - I am B-A-D at make-up, so I just do a little foundation, mascara, and lipstick. I would love to be able to do (and pull off) something awesome like your Frozen look. DANG!

Hmm - as for inspiration, I will have to think on that. I am not very creative. I know what Willow would say though - Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle, Tiana, etc., etc., etc. ;)

Thanks! I constantly get bored. In the last 2 years, it's been basically black, platinum blonde, and now red. I'm definitely up for change.

I've always loved makeup, and I've practiced a lot over the years. I wanted to be a makeup artist, but that fell through. Oh well.

I'm sure Willow would say every Disney princess!

WE WANT THE REDHEAD!!!!

I love the color. :yay:

I love the makeup and hair you did for Frozen. Despite being a girl I am an idiot when it comes to makeup so sorry if I can't help but you always manage to come up with something fantastic.

I'm glad that we can now use that line on me! LOL.

Haha, I'm sure you're not an idiot when it comes to makeup. Just low key. I'm pretty in your face.

I LOVE the red! It suits you so well! I feel ya on the maintenance though. This summer I decided to color my hair for the first time ever and did a red ombre. I had it done in June and it was gone by my August WDW trip. Merp. Ah well.

Love the Tangled shirt so much! I got the black one with the lanterns. And of course I love the Beauty and the Beast one.

The Frozen makeup looks great! I feel like there could be some cool Aladdin ones, either Prince Ali or Jasmine.

It certainly is high maintenance. It's already faded a little bit, so I need to give it an illegal boost that I can't tell my colorist about. :rotfl: Red ombre is awesome! I haven't had hair long enough for ombre in forever. By the time I would get around to growing it out, ombre would be way out of style. :rotfl2:

I actually had inspiration for an Aladdin based one. ;)

Loving the red Danielle! It really suits you!

I am so very bad at make-up. You have some skills!

I think you HAVE to do Ariel with that red hair! And if you're open to it, a Peter Pan look would be cool too!

Can't wait to see what you do.

Thanks Shan! Ariel would be fun, and so would Peter Pan. I actually have an Ariel palette from Sephora.

I love the red! I tried to do that colour once, it is a pain to maintain!
I would like to see a Merida inspired make up day. Especially with the new red hair!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

It certainly is a pain to maintain.

Merida would be fun. Would look cool with the red.

Love the new do. It looks great on you!

Hmmmm - Disney Inspired makeup.

Belle

Ariel

Mary Poppins

Girl - you are going to have a lot of fun doing different Disney characters. Let the planning begin.

And Yay :cool1: for 30 days!

Thanks! I love it too, it's tons of fun.

It's going to be great playing around! I'm going to have to plan this out well, so I don't fly by the seat of my pants, which I'm notorious for.

I once had red hair and I know what a pain it is to maintain. Hehe

It truly is, but I love it.

I love the idea of doing Disney inspired makeup. You are so good at it I know you will look great. Love,Love, Love your hair. I know that Grandma would love this color too :grouphug:

And you are right we suffer from an incurable Disease called Disneyitis.:thumbsup2 We'll have to take pics of my Disney shirts too and post them.

Thanks momma. I'm sure Grandma would have loved the hair. Although she did really love the platinum.

Disneyitis. It's true.

Oh yeah Merida inspired makeup would be beautiful with Danielle's red hair. Go for it girl:cool1:

I'm going to see what I can come up with.

First of all LOVE your face! Second, LOVE LOVE the Frost makeup! Third the red hair is great and I love that you did your eyebrows too! Very important! Lastly I'm not sure about Disney looks. I would kinda think a Minnie Mouse look would be super fun but just not sure how you would do it! There is a challenge for you!

Awww, thank you so much! That's sweet of you to say.

Little secret....I actually didn't do my eyebrows. I fill them in every day myself with makeup. ;)

Minnie Mouse would be interesting. I'd have to see if I had the tools to execute the idea that puts in my head.....

I like your hair! I am partial to red, we've got a lot of redheads in my family. I know what you mean about getting bored, hair is so easy to change.

I am not at all creative, so I can't offer you any suggestions for characters, but your Frozen look is great!

I've always wanted to have red hair naturally, but as you likely know, only like 5% of the population has red hair, so I wasn't blessed with that.

Thanks!

We will be in FL (not Disney, unfortunately) until the 19th... I wish I could stay down there and hitch a ride back to IL in your dad's über efficient car!!!

You are the second to request the Little Mermaid, so I'll have to incorporate it somehow.

Hahaha, that would be so funny! Too bad you're not going to be in Disney.

Still digging the red hair, it looks great!

I could always give you pointers on makeup. One pointer I actually have that's serious, is watch beauty gurus on YouTube. They are awesome! They review products so you know what to buy (I never buy without a bloggers backing anymore), and they show techniques that you can follow. Other than that, it's honestly just messing around. I messed around with makeup so much, did some horrible looks, but it was going through the horrible stuff that taught me how to get better.

I'm definitely a fan of the HM idea, because that happens to be my favorite attraction! I'm down with anything Disney inspired.

It is difficult to maintain, that's for sure. But I'm trying some new options to keep it vibrant, so we'll see if they work.

I just love messing around with makeup. It's just fun. I love the blue shadow with purple liner for Sulley!

Thanks for your trip report! I started reading yesterday and just caught up. There were several times at work today I had a "What in the World?!" moment and thought of that picture of your Pop! Your family looks like so much fun! If your parents are interested in adopting a 35year old lady, I'm just saying, I am available!

Super excited that you’re going so soon, hopefully the MB issues don’t come back up again! We’ve always had at least 1 problem with them so far but hey, it’s testing, right?

Too bad about being late to MK, but hey, at least ya made it! I’ve only had hot coffee from that starbucks once and it was in June…bahaha..

Ohno! So glad gavin didn’t go on space then! I always wonder if people freak out at that part, who knows whats going to happen if you’ve never been on it!

Aaaahh those ride pictures are PRICELESS man, your family!

I love the disneyboundign with make up! Obviosuly I try to arrange it to coordinate with something to do with the park I’m at that day! Ariel’s a really easy and nice one to do! Or Tink, green and sparklaly? Obviously some Frozen is ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA! Lol

I try to do the youtube videos but I'm still not very good. I did a very very very basic look that looked good though; baby steps I guess! I am just now getting into eyeliner - I can only apply it with an angled brush, but it's perfect so I guess that's something! :)

Danielle, I wasn't too far behind...thankfully. First, let me say that after ALL of my worry over the Magic Bands, we did not have a single problem with them. :thumbsup2

The photos on Space Mountain are very good (loved the video too). But the photos on Buzz had me roaring with laughter. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm with your Dad; even though it was 85 last week, I still had to have my hot Starbucks drink. :)

I LOVE the red hair on you! It looks great! I also get bored very easily with my hair. I have tried to dye it a deep brown (both at home and at salon) and no matter what it is completely faded away within 2 weeks max. So please, feel free to share your top secrets to keeping hair color with me :)

The pictures on buzz lightyear are a riot! It totally looks planned.

I can't believe your trip is sooo soon! Sooo exciting!!!

:welcome:

Glad that you're enjoying it! Pop's face in that picture was hysterical, and I love the fact that it has so many applications. :lmao:

We welcome all sorts of Disney lovers into our family. :rotfl2:

Yeah, I'm taking the Magic Bands with a grain of salt for now, since they are still in testing. That's what this whole period is for.

I'm thinking up dis-makeupbounding ideas as we speak. I'm excited to give them a try.

I try to do the youtube videos but I'm still not very good. I did a very very very basic look that looked good though; baby steps I guess! I am just now getting into eyeliner - I can only apply it with an angled brush, but it's perfect so I guess that's something! :)

Basic is the way to start.

Eyeliner takes a long time to accomplish, especially the wings. Angled brushes are great for it. I use a teeny weeny liner brush because I like it better for freehand purposes, but it took me some time to work up to that.

Vacation is always the worst with that, isn't it?! I feel like I fall so far behind on all my threads after a trip.

I'm glad to hear you had no issues with the Magic Bands! I'm super excited to try them.

Thanks! I love it too.

The advice I have on any color treated hair is:

1) Use color protecting shampoo and conditioner. My advice within that though is to use shampoo that is sulfate free. Sulfates really strip hair, and unfortunately it's in most shampoos, because it's what makes it lather. Loreal however, makes a really nice affordable one called Everpure.

2) Do not wash your hair every day. It sounds gross for some people, but it's really not recommended for color treated hair. I actually wash my hair every five days. Water, especially hot water opens the hair follicles, causing color to drain.

3) Use dry shampoo when you don't wash your hair. It's a LIFESAVER!

4) Wash hair in cold water. This is the hardest one for me, and sometimes I don't do it, but it's recommended.

5) Deep condition your hair. It helps keep the color pretty.

We will gladly adopt you. The more Disney fans in the family the merrier

You are so sweet! Until adoption of adults is legal, I will just live vicariously through your family trip reports. :)

Hahaha, keep on living vicariously. My Mom will adopt any Disney loving folks!

We had just gotten off of Buzz Lightyear, where my Mom mysteriously scored 999,999 points in like 5 seconds. We still have no idea how that happened, and she clearly wasn't paying attention to what she was doing.

Someone ELSE also was not paying attention and somehow ended up in Rex's mouth.

He lives dangerously you know.

After that, we decided that we were going to head to Dumbotown! (Read my November 2012 TR if you haven't already to understand where that comes from). Let's just say that Jeni is a goober.

Our first stop was Dumbo. Mom and Dad decided to wait it out. Not sure why, but they did. So the rest of us headed in.

On the way in, we attempted to get the boys into a Dumbo for a photo op. Oh, we ended up with a photo op all right.

This.

And this.

*sigh* Life is never normal with that child.

In case you weren't sure which way you were going....they announce it for you.

I love this area.

We let the boys play for a little while in here. There was virtually no line for the ride, so we let them play for a bit.

We were sitting next to another lady and her daughter was running in the play area as well. We were just chatting away and suddenly we hear crying.

Let's just call it that moment when all adults look at each other and wonder "is that my kid?!"

It was Joaquin. We are still unsure what happened, but I think he fell over in one of the climbing areas. He was okay and wasn't hurt, just stunned more than anything. At that point we decided that it was a good idea to just head on to the ride.

While we were waiting for our Dumbo to arrive, we put my ears on the boys. Because nothing says good parenting like taking pictures of your kids to embarrass them with later in life!

Mom was apparently doing the creep on us from really far away.

And she did the creep on me from really far away.

Clearly, Joaquin has laser vision and saw Mom taking pictures.

Meanwhile, on the Dumbo ride....

Yeti was driving. That's a dangerous thing.

Gavin had been freaking out in line. This child, I tell you. Scared of Dumbo. You can see him gripping the side of his Dumbo here.

He survived, but that's basically because we forced him to get on the ride. That's how we do.

If you look really closely in this picture, you can see Joaquin is just smiling up a storm.

We enjoyed our flight around the sky with Dumbo. Gavin admitted that he liked it and that it was fun. Thankfully he survived.

Of course we were in Dumbotown, so we were going to see The Amazing Donaldo and the Great Goofini!

The boys had already met Goofy and Donald at the Backyard Barbecue, and they were all like "buy we met them already". Get with the program boys, you're going and you're going to like it!

First up was Goofini.

Have to pay attention to him signing the book you know.
