We were on a mission to head to Space Mountain.
Gavin and Jeni sat this one out. Now, this is one of Jeni's favorite rides, but Gavin was scared to go on it. And considering what I am going to start referring to as "Pukegate" on Expedition Everest, she didn't want to take any chances on him getting on the ride and getting sick. Thankfully, the wait was only 10 minutes.
In case you're curious, every rocket has six seats.
We were excited! Joaquin wasn't paying attention in this one, but the other one was a bit too grainy.
Everyone really enjoyed the ride. Now, contrary to what this PP pictures suggests, Joaquin did enjoy the ride.
And due to my amazing filmmakers skills, you too can enjoy a ride on Space Mountain! Completely in the dark. If you wait until the end, you can see Joaquin's reaction.
We actually had forgotten our Photopass+ card in the room (someone *cough cough* *mom*, almost got their PP+ card responsibilities revoked). So they had to write our numbers down and we had to return to get them later in the day. In case anyone is curious, your photo number is in the system for 48 hours, so if you do happen to forget your PP+ card, have them write your ride photo number down for you, and then you can go back to the ride later and have them add it.
So while we were on Space Mountain, Jeni took Gavin on the Peoplemover. And Jeni told me that she knew it was a good choice when we didn't take Gavin on Space Mountain, because when they got to the part on the ride when you go through Space Mountain? Gavin was like this:
Now that we were all together, you guys know where we would be off to next.
Competitive people that we are you know.
We are ready to take down Zurg!
Now Mom can't repeat this exactly, as she has NO idea how she did it, but she was already up to this level by the time we hit the volcano room.
I looked at her and I said "what did you do?!"
Mom: I have no idea!!!!
My score. Almost there, just not quite.
This picture just says it all. I'm still trying to hit a target and Mom could care less. She's all like "yup...I made it to 999,999....what about you?"
She was actually turning the alarm off on our house for the friend that was stopping by to check on the cat, but it was timed perfectly.
Jeni's face just cracks me up!
Joaquin: What's back there that I can shoot?!
Dad: The sky, the sky!
Up next: Won't you take me to......Dumbotowwwwwnnnnn!
