Hello ladies! Kiddo has a half-day so I need to get my slacking off in earlier than usual. I've watched my Benedict Cumberbatch videos, paid some bills and had my coffee. (I have to watch the Cumberbatch stuff in peace and quiet, because when the hubs is home, all I hear are snide remarks. )

I know how you feel though. I want to be sooooo excited about our August reservations but it is hard. Even though DH is working and getting paid (and supposedly guaranteed by law to be paid), I feel like there is still uncertainty. It sucks!

The furloughs truly suck! I was supposed to start a CIV position with the Navy in January but that's been put on indefinite hold due to cuts and furloughs. Grateful DH is 'secured' even if we're not 100% when/if pay drops. I hope you don't have to postpone!!!

Also, I had two teeth come in behind my baby teeth. One ended up loose enough I was able to get it out, the other had to be pulled - truly annoying!!!

Eek! Hoping we can avoid the pulling situation. (She was given "homework" by the dentist -- to wiggle her tooth. She still doesn't want my help. )

Oh NO! I hope something helps and soon. I pulled a muscle in my ribs from coughing -- I didn't even KNOW there were muscles IN there -- when I was pregnant. My back and front hurt and it was so painful to breathe. So sorry you're going through all that. Also, your daughter rocks... but I'm sure you already know that!

It's official, I have a reservation and David took the time off, we will be heading to Disney the afternoon of Dec 5th for the weekend. Going to meet some very special ladies!!!!! I am soooo excited!!!!!

Well, this is the week for us. Found out last Friday that the end of this week will start furloughs for the hub's work. With the trip coming up, it's bad timing to say the least; I just can't seem to muster any enthusiasm with this hanging over us. I really should be packing and making lists but can't seem to focus on it.

Hope Miss M did okay at the dentist. DS12 had to have one pulled, and HRH too. They REALLY waited though, and one fell out (meanwhile DS12 had two sets of front teeth for months....) Sorry about the furloughs, those politicians need to get it together and think about us "little people"

Do NOT change!!!! This is the perfect opportunity to experience the Poly again before all of the hoopla! Stay strong lady!

I am so glad I found this thread because DH thinks I'm crazy! In fact, I haven't called Disney since Saturday and he asked last night if I thought they would worry about me since it had been so long. I told him to be careful or I'd get really crazy and lose all frugality and end up CL somewhere!!!

We have thought of a DH support group for our nuttiness Poor husbands, even my DHs coworkers don't ask where he is going, because (these are his words) "I don't know where we are staying until we get there...and even then she will change it"

It starts with an innocent peek. Then a quick glance at the rate. Maybe a quick tap of the calculator or a column on the spreadsheet. Next thing you know your heart is racing and *BAM* you're talking to a CM!

I'm afraid I am going to end up like our dear Jeanette who managed to make so many changes on a reservation that it was frozen!!!

That has happened to me more than once.....Luckily most CMs are so darn nice. I remember the CM that actually remembered my email from my name....hahahahahahaha And I remembered her granddaughter's name....

They tried to rush me out of there while I was still sick and couldn't sit or walk yet. They weren't busy .... for awhile I was they only patient in the ER.

As an ER nurse, you have NO idea how mad this makes me Mama I hope you are somewhat better today, please take it easy

Jeanette - the frugal monster visited here and we are now booked off prop for Dec and Jan But if I want to be able to keep taking mini trips, I have to compromise somewhere.

I just saw a commercial that had AKL in it and was like "Hmmmm...." I talk myself out of it because we'll spend most of our time at MK with littlest DD, but I can also talk myself into anything! The official party-line for this trip is so we can 'test' WL to see if his family would enjoy it for a big trip in '16. But, if politicians can waffle, I can too!!!

DH always helps the teeth wiggle a bit...they don't let me help either (sometimes Daddy has the magic touch with the princesses......

I am glad it went well at the dentist!!! DH has now confided in me he would rather stay at GF than YC/BC...he said we tried BCV and YC, neither were amazing for him...(I wonder if that means no BWI either)

So, I had a temporary panic... like total. flippin'. freak-out. I went and logged on the look at tickets for the party because I still haven't bought them. (Didn't want to spend the extra dosh until the furlough thing hopefully ends.) Looked at the MNSSHP calendar with ticket pricing and it has the WRONG DATES ... 28th instead of 29th like I planned ... AND it was SOLD OUT!

... and then I realised it was the Disneyland site.

dmindgal - My kids have no interest in AKL for some reason, but I agree if you spend most of your time at the MK, staying at WL is really much more convenient

Yeah, I'm having trouble loving AKL. I love the animals and the pool/splash area (especially since we have the wee one), but I am not a fan of African cuisine and since we plan on midday breaks, it will be easier to be closer to stuff. Maybe when the littlest is older we can visit the savannah! For now, I feel settled on WL and am happy with the location and food options!

DH has learned to watch for either a worried expression (meaning I'm thinking of changing resorts) or a crazed expression (meaning I HAVE switched resorts) when he gets home. Both seem to elicit the deepest sighs.... and not of longing.

A few weeks ago we saw Destination Discovery channel was airing all the Disney Parks/CL episodes and we just randomly turned it on... then I realized they were UPDATED! I was like a kid in the candy store! Of course, then I promptly got on the computer and started checking rates at various 'park' resorts and going nuts with 'what ifs'. Thankfully the commercials don't affect me AS much!

It's so funny you downloaded the music! I have the Disney Parks album the 'Happiest Celebration on Earth' (2005) on our iPod. It drives DH CRAZY when I decide to listen to it because it messes with the 'random' setting on shuffle. Usually, we get a blend of the most listened to songs/artists... then ever so often we'll hear "Ahhh, my siestas are getting shorter and shorter" or "One little spark of inspiration..." DD loves the album so he's forced to suffer through, even when I'm not there!!!

Congrats but I am SO JEALOUS! If I can find a SV at YC for military rate, I might have to jump on it! We LOVED YC and would book again in a heartbeat. They only had water view and CL available, so I'm content to stay at WL.... for now!!! Enjoy the location!!!

Miss - I hope your DH gets good news very soon. Sorry about the tooth issues with Miss M. My DS8 had a hanger-on-er (lol) for what seemed like for-ever. They didn't pull it and it did eventually come out on it's own. What's Benedict Cumberbatch, btw? Lol on the DL MNSSHP mixup.

Mousemommy - Good thoughts for your fam through the furlough stuff too. GF SL sounds perfect for a summer trip! I love everything about the GF except the location during F&W.

dimndgal - We fell in love with AKL, but WL does have the edge for a MK intense trip!

babyberger - Yay for more trips! And a super-duper RC meet up too! Jealous! I'm going to have to get some info from you on the LBV Resort. I think we are headed offsite next year. This year really hurt the travel budget.

((DH is at me - he's lucky I don't just go crazy and book CR-MK view just to prove a point... 'oops, sweetie, must've been a glitch that one night. Oh well, guess we gotta go with it. ))

I would LOVE that glitch... if it was at WL price

DH wants to hold off 'going big' until the girls are old enough to remember it. We already have an angry 6 year old because we went to DL when she was 18 months and 3, so she has no real memories of it:

DD: *sees commercial for Cars Land* "Can we go to DL instead of WDW next trip?"
DH: "We went to DL... twice."
DD: "I don't remember it! We have to go back!"
DH: "No we don't - I have the photos. There's proof you were there. If you want, we can put them around the house and you can feel like you're there!"

Next year's trip is to celebrate our 10th anniversary and his upcoming promotion, so he's eased up some on the room - while he enjoyed YC last year, to him a room is a room. The whole government finance fiasco isn't helping any with planning, either - I was hoping to get this great job starting in January but the furloughs made it disappear. *sighs*

I'm thinking for our 15 or 20th anniversary, CR MK view is probably going to be our treat. Our anniversary is Jan 1, so I'd love to get to WDW on our anniversary and stay a week... watch the crowds die down but still get to enjoy the holiday decorations.

I will say that we have already promised DD a trip to Hawaii before she's in college (she was born there and keeps asking about it). DH KNOWS that means we have to do at least a few nights at Aulani (we left the island when they were building it), so I'm not pushing CR.... yet.
