Checked in yesterday morning at 7am. Our room was ready King Room in Business Class on the first floor facing the little lake in the back. Our room is very clean and so far our Magic Bands from our stays last month at Pop and YC are working! CMs checking us in were a delight at 7am! The lounge was very yummy for breakfast as well.

DF's luggage at MCO ended up going on DME even though he didn't tag his bag and he didn't take the bus. His flight was delayed so I was off work and picked him up. It was nice that they flagged his bag but we also didn't get it till late but it did arrive and was in our room.

Called HK about a boxed fan (drown out noise) and they said they did not have any. Our bathroom fan seems to be loud enough. Today our housekeeping never came. DF left at 10:30am, took the sign off the door, and came back at 3:30pm with no housekeeping. When he called he was told that they didn't do it during the day incase we wanted to rest???!! I guess we'll call tomorrow before we leave for MK. It seems very odd to me. I'm sure because of that the service was limited since it was done between 3:30 and 4pm.

We went to the pool today. The mugs are used at the snack bar and the snack bar machines are not coded they are just the same machines. Not sure if they would be filling old mugs or not. We got ours with the DDP. We did alert a lifeguard coordinator when 3 small (ages 3-6 probably) were alone in the hot tub jumping in and kicking around with floaties on. When the parents were found they were by the firepit area in lounge chairs drinking adult drinks.

The lounge no longer has white sangria (sad day) or bottled waters...also sad day!!!

Aside from a few minor things we are having a great time and love it!!

No bottled water now that is sad I am diabetic and bottled water is almost the only thing I drink......

Did the parents show any sign of embarrassment? Or were they offended you didn't want to babysit? I just don't get some people.

Sorry to focus on that part of your email.
Thanks for your feedback of your stay so far.
Thanks for the confirmation I'm packing my "under $20" white noise machine that I got at Walmart. It will fit nice and flat in my suitcase. I know some people have white noise apps on their cell phones but I prefer to charge my phone fully at night and bring the white noise machine. Again it's flat and was under $20 so it will be well worth the investment to pack it as anyone walking by my room talking or not will wake me. I'm a mother so I sleep light.

Can't wait to hear more updates.

I was very surprised by this as well. In Feb when we stayed they did have the small bottle of Dasani which were great to throw in a bag for the parks and keep in your fridge. They asked me if I wanted water "to go" which I'm guessing meant putting it in a coffee cup with a lid.

They never showed up. I spoke with the coordinator and he walked over and 2 seconds later all 3 kids were out of the hot tub and ran over to their parents. The coordinator didn't speak to the parents which I thought was odd as that is a HUGE safety concern. When DF and I left, the mom was on her phone and the dad was drinking and told the youngest (probably around 4 yrs old) that he would get in the pool when he was done with his adult drinks. And parents wonder why their kids drown and get taken...it's sad really!

WE always travel with a small fan for DH and DD. They need that fan noise.

Did you ask if they are out of water or is this for good?

The red sangria is yummy.

Room question for those that know CSR well.

DH and I are planning staying 2 nights at CSR as part of a split stay (other portion of our stay is at CR). We will have access to a car throughout our trip as well. It's just the two of us so I'm going to book a king bed room. Looking at the RO discount for Jan - Apr next year, it looks like the standard king room is more expensive than a preferred king or a water view king. 1. Does that seem right? And 2. Preferred room or water view are the same price. Thoughts on which one to book? Since we have a car and we are not going to MK on either day we are staying at CSR, bus service is not important either.

I'd love some input! Thanks so much!!!

Apparently they don't have bottled water anymore because people were asking for 5 at a time to take to the parks.

If you don't mind the cost the Business Class king bed is the best rooms in the resort. Before there was BC we always booked water view at CSR. Booking waterview you will end up with a nice waterview room in Casitas 4 or 5, or Cabanas 8a, 8 b, or 9a or possibly Ranchos 7b by the quiet pool. I like all of those room locations.

Thank you for this! This is our first time at CSR and only because we couldn't get into our beloved POR no matter how hard I tried! I was not excited but after finally accepting that I wasn't going to win I am trying very hard to GET excited! We have a waterview. I wasn't even sure what to ask for for buildings because I've never seen the resort! Thanks for helping my excitement level! 10 days!! Woot!

I have been vacillating between resorts for our upcoming stay, really wanting a nice resort with 3 beds (i.e.: 1Qu/2bunk, 2Qu/1trundle). I had been hoping to grab POR since they have the trundle in AB section, but it was totally booked at our rate...

Then I stumbled across the refurb rumor at CSR... and the fact it may end up with the similar format to AB. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything more definite? Right now, we're at WL-bunk, with a back up rezzie at SoG. I'd LOVE to book a moderate at the military rate because it would be cheaper than SoG (once you factor in transit), and CSR looks like fun. Just wondering what anyone has heard???

We usually stay at POR also but we are going to give CSR a try (by choice). I love POR but wanted to try something new. The pool and hot tub look awesome!
We booked preferred room which would be casitas 1,2 or 3. Cannot wait to see it!

I haven't seen that rumor until now. There is a room at CBR that was redone to resemble rooms at POR AB but it was only one room. There is talk of a rehab at CBR in 2014 that might finally bring queen beds there but no one knows if they will get the trundle bed.

I was wondering - is there an area that I request - std room - that would be close to a bus stop and the pool ?? Thanks

So excited to be staying here Jan 31-Feb 7. My husband and I are staying in the business class section. The only question I have is about busses, we will be at the parks every morning for rope drop. I know we are between the 3rd and 4th bus stops, would it be more worth it to walk over to the Casitas to catch the first bus? I will admit I'm not the most patient person, and I've read here that at rope drop, the busses are full by the time they get to the cabanas and El Centro. I don't care about getting a seat, I just want to be on the bus....any thoughts or suggestions would be great! We can't wait to stay here!

We were there toward the end of June this year, and we never heard another person. We were in 9B, on the back side of the building. I couldn't believe how quiet this resort was.

OMG, last minute change... We switched AoA for Coronado Springs (excellent price) and we'll be there in 13 days. I have to read this thread!! :rotfl2:

Excited but a bit anxious since I know nothing about the resort.
