edited to add: uh-oh they did change some of ours too. I will resist the urge to change things around. Animal Kingdom will now be open until 7pm on November 16th - I heard Expedition Everest is pretty great in the dark, but we were intending to leave much earlier. They didn't extend Hollywood studios on our night, but they did extend MK on the 13th to 10pm, on the 16th to 11pm, but left it at 9pm for the 19th - on the 18th they have EMH at MK until midnight. I wish HS was closing at 9 instead of 8. With an 8pm close a lot of people will stay there and then still hop to MK for another 4 hours.

I was excited to see later hours. I did make a big change by flip flopping HS and Epcot because I wanted to be at Epcot on the 29 th now due to the story tellers. That's the only time we can see them. I'm not buying the hoppers this time. :crazy2: I'm wishing I had included them but there is no room in the budget to add them now due to the furlough. :sad2:

It took a few minutes to change things, but I am so excited that I still got good fast passes. I'm liking the fast pass + right now. It's taking some pressure off. :thumbsup2
 
You are going at a much busier time than I am so I totally get wanting longer hours. I want this vacation to be more relaxing, but I am a sucker for late nights. Plus when they add hours they expect things to be busier. I am hoping for more down time this trip.

I have planned everyday by easywdw so I'm hoping it's not to bad. I had to totally go against them for that Friday though. It's their worst pick. :faint: I hope it will be okay.

I have friends who went last year and they said it wasn't that bad at all so we are going to give it a try. Plus my daughter will be in the Thanksgiving parade at MK. I couldn't pass that up! :rotfl2:

Thanks to those who posted this - it's scaring me a little, as we were there 2 yrs. ago a Thanksgiving week, and did not feel it was that bad other than Black Fri. in MK. Of course we were using AM EMH and FP, but the hrs. we're not extended like this, making me wonder what they are expecting:scared1: But I may have to change plans as we planned to be at EMH at 8, but now would need to be there at 7!(not morning people - Disney is an exception w/benefits of EMH). Wait- what happens to ADR at CP to get into park early? Will they open up more ADRs earlier? Sorry - thinking"out loud" so to speak - but really, that will make me mad if I miss my quiet time on Main St., & will not want to stop to eat an hr. into park time - aah! It's our favorite brft. & always plan it early to get pics, esp. w/Christmas decor. Also will have same problem at AK for AM EMH, and supposed to do F! FP+ for early show and stay late to do Osbourne at leisure - this trip is really giving me a headache w/ all the changes and unknown! Of course, I still can't wait to be there:rotfl:

They haven't changed the hours for my week, Nov 17-23. It's been the same since they released them. :( I would really like a longer HS day on the 21st, 8pm kind of saddens me. Oh well!!

Question for all you professionals!!! Do you think it'll be worth it to do FP+ selection for Main Street electrical parade? I'd hate to use a FP selection if it's not going to be for a great spot. Anyone know if there is a good spot that for FP users? TIA!

Now I am MORE than super excited!! I need to go back and read everything to learn how to work all of this. I used to be here on the Dis on a regular basis but the past year has been a whirlwind for us. My mom is fighting brain cancer. As of this moment the cancer is gone and she is doing maintenance chemo. She is coming with us on this trip which makes it even more special. As many times as we have gone, this is our first trip during Thanksgiving. We are excited to see all the decorations for Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Anyway, long story short....Glad I found this thread. Looking forward to talking with all of you over the next month! :flower3:

I will admit: I'm worried, too. I keep checking the weather reports and praying nothing hits while we're in Disney this year. We've had three years of Halloween storms....please, please, please not this year.

This does sound cool! And I didn't mention it because it's fairly new and I didn't know whether it would be rolled out for our trips. Have fun playing!

As for the smilies, you can click on "more" on the bottom left-hand corner....it bring up all the smilies. Although you can't click on them to add them to your post, you can copy (or make note of) the description (like : wave2 : ) and paste it to your post. Hope this helps for those missing-in-action dancing bananas.

I place a garden grocer order just so I can have my Dr Pepper! I tell my husband it's for snacks, water, and breakfast items, but the whole reason I looked into it in the first place was for Dr Pepper!

I've heard this is a good spot, on the hub, I think. I hate the MK parade crush. If you're going on a busy day, I would definitely use this. Wishes spot gets mixed reviews.

Thats why I do not really follow the online touring plans....they are not really a secret anymore. They need to bump up the crowd predictor one notch for each day they recommend a park now, so many people use them.

I use my common sense and past experience to guide me. Looks like I will miss alot of you. HS is the 10th for me!

Thank you! I was hoping to hear just this! Haha! I know I don't like getting a neck kink from looking around people and getting kicked if sitting on curb. Maybe I'll do it and try my luck! It's on a Tuesday night so I'll be ok!
