Magic: November 1, 2013 5 night Western

I have heard the same about Premier. We are going to park at Safecruiseparking.com. I posted about them a few pages back. They have a temp lot because of construction but they have a 24/7 security guard and a gated lot, so I still feel it's secure. Read my post that I posted earlier for more info.
If you are driving to the port and are disabled and have either a disabled license plate or disabled placard, parking is free. From the Port of Miami website:
For Disabled Persons

Disabled parking at PortMiami is free. However, in order to waive parking fees, appropriate documentation must be provided to the Toll Attendant upon exiting the parking facility.

Required documentation

State Issued Driver's License/I.D. Card or U.S. Passport
Original Parking Sales Receipt/Parking Ticket Stub (No Copies)
Authentic Disability Placard/Permanent Disability License Plate
Proof of Sailing (Sailing Card or Original Purchased Ticket Issued from the Cruise Line)
Letter/Card from Department of Motor Vehicles signifying to whom the Disability Placard is assigned (Applies to states that do not have a driver's license number on placard)

For all of the ones with younger kids they now have a life guard at the family pool during hours its open. I'm the crazy parents that has to know where my kids are at all times just adds a little peace of mind.

We are 4 hours from the port and we are going back and forth about staying over night or driving in the day of. Kind of makes me nervous about driving in the day of, there is 8 of us in 2 cars. I have also called several of the cruise and stay hotels that don't have Oct 31st available for the cruise parking, but the hotel rooms are available. They must have a certain # of spots. Any thoughts?

us too...well I did not hubby. Did it mention testing something on board?

I did and it asked about testing something on board. It might have something to do with our cell phones. I saw on another blog that there is an app for when people are cruising on the Fantasy. It is like a Navigator on your phone.:confused3

We were on the dream last week and there was a sign and lifeguard. Not sure when it started, but was after the near drowning on the fantasy. So sad and upsetting.

We are huge Disney fans and have been to Disney so many times. Last year we took our first Disney Cruise and absolutely loved it! Now we are going back and are very excited. I have heard of these boards, but have never been on them. Hopefully I am even posting this correctly.
One thing I just discovered were these "fish extenders". How cool is that? Does anyone have more information and is anyone planning on doing this?

Hello and welcome to our little meet group! We are glad to have you here. There is a surprisingly large and active group for this cruise. There is a group meeting planned at 3 on the 1st to meet and get to know each other. It's great to finally talk to people you've been communicating with through the boards. Many make lasting friendships.
There are tons and tons of information about the ship, DCL, and cruising in general, including the fish extenders (FE) through a multitude of stickies throughout the forums. Unfortunately the FE for this cruise closed nearly two weeks ago. This is primarily due to the fact that many of the participants create personalized gifts that requires time to put together.
There are several other fun activities for our group, adults and children alike. The kids can makes friends for the clubs or games and the Big Kids have partners in crime to sneak off to the bars for cocktail classes.

Come out and join us. We're looking forward to meeting you!

Welcome aboard!! :cool1: We, as a group, did agree to cut off the FE sign ups at the one month date. (Oct 1)

Please do join us on the first day at Promenade Lounge at 3pm for a meet and greet to put faces with these names. :thumbsup2

Did anyone get an email survey?
Yes, I did. From the questions on the survey, it sounds like they plan on rolling out the Navigator to all the ships eventually. Maybe we will get to test it??!!!

As mentioned earlier, I agree that this was probably put into place after the near drowning on the Fantasy. Unfortunately, I think more parents are going to see this as an opportunity to leave their kids unattended for a few minutes (or more) at the pool while they run to the buffet or the room, etc.

That would be cool - my husband has the iphone (I wish they would do this on android!!) I do have an ipad though so I guess we could both try it out.

I have the one from October 2nd. Are there any changes to the list since then? It shows 23 staterooms (22 to gift) and 37 children.

There was the one error where I listed one 3 yo girl as a boy. So one less 3 yo boy and one more 3 yo girl. Otherwise, only changes are room numbers and we still are missing a couple of those. I will send an updated to everyone once those rooms are assigned. Hopefully soon. We leave next Saturday!! :dance3:

Thank you!!!

I understand. I wish I knew about the Fish Extenders and this group sooner. Maybe next year. If anything changes though, we'd love to participate.

I read earlier that some families bring extra and just place them randomly after they do their list. I know I will be doing the same. We'll get to explore the entire ship that way ( and work off the meals) :)

That's right. You never know what might show up.

I took the survey and agreed to take another on the ship if chosen.....hopefully I will receive some pixy dust. :wizard:
