Picture This: A WILDERNESS LODGE PICTORIAL OVERVIEW

Great job on the pics posted so far. It amazes me how many people don't have or don't take the time to explore WL. I just love to walk each floor of the lobby area and find all the "hidden" areas. That front balcony is my favorite of all outside areas, especially in the mornings. Can't wait to take my millions of WL pics next week.
Thank you, but that's all I've got - this trip at least. You're right, I've been many times, but still seem to find something "new" each visit. Same holds true for the parks, too. I never tire of them or the resorts:goodvibes. I hope you have a great stay and maybe you could post some of your photos to the WL thread?

:rotfl2: so true! Last August 2012 we pretty much camped in the AK CL in the evenings  close to Appies, drinks, and those yummy desserts! Too bad that CL didn't have a Savana view! But then BC didn't have any view from their CL either.

Looks like they expanded the tour. I don't recall Ranger Stan taking us to the Carolwood room. Cute bird peeking out of the log!

Thank you soo much for sharing. We arrive for our first stay at WL in only 12 days! Can't wait to get there and explore especially after all your beautiful pictures!

I showed these pictures to my DD(11) and she couldn't stop looking at them! 6 more sleeps until we're there.

Awesome pics, KOOK :goodvibes. The WL is just beautiful and these pics make me want to stay CL in December (especially since I already know how gorgeous it is during the holidays :santa:), but I'm staying strong and sticking with CR CL and Poly CL....but I know we'll eventually get back to WL CL as we had such a fantastic stay there in the past :thumbsup2.

Great pics, Kook!! :thumbsup2

We have just about 2 months until our trip and these pics aren't making the wait any easier! ;)

Thanks for sharing! My kids convinced me to change from GF to WL bunk bed courtyard view & I was feeling pretty bummed. This really helped :goodvibes.

Awww shucks and thank you, but these must look very familiar considering you were staying CL right before I arrived:rolleyes1

Yep, but it is always a peaceful way to end the day looking at more pics (framed and everything) of the beloved Lodge! :goodvibes

Btw, what are the chances that very large spoonful missing from that blueberry cobbler is sitting on a plate very close to your DH.......:scratchin

;)

Oh, Kookster, you're KILLING ME! I was seriously about to yell for Danimal to come look. Then I realized the time, and that tomorrow is the first day of school. Priorities and all that. :rotfl:

VIEW FROM PUBLIC BALCONY WHICH IS NEXT TO STANDARD VIEW ROOM AND OVERLOOKS THE PORT COCHERE. THIS BALCONY HAS GREAT VIEWS AND I'VE NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANYONE ELSE ON IT:

We found this balcony. :) But we missed a whole lot of other things that you talked about.

We found a really nice public balcony at the other end of the 4th floor that overlooked the courtyard and Silver Springs and had some nice chairs and benches to sit on. This was the view from that balcony:

Awesome pics!!! We were at WDW at the exact same time, 7/31-8/10! I am now planning for next year's trip and WL just made it to my short list:cool1:

And this is why we would choose WL over Poly or BC!

Love, love love!
There are so many great resort choices at WDW. WL's theming is amazing and there is such a great attention to detail everywhere. Such as the "faux soot" on the ceilings right above the (gas) fireplaces. Illusion is everywhere at WL/VWL:goodvibes

If you need more photos, my other TRs from last year and the thread have more. What's also nice about the OFC is that the lounge and the Standard CL rooms and suites are all on the same floor as the lounge, unlike the KC at AKL. You can get to the cobbler faster!

Thank you soo much for sharing. We arrive for our first stay at WL in only 12 days! Can't wait to get there and explore especially after all your beautiful pictures!
Thank you for your kind comment and I know you're going to have a great stay. If you get a chance, we'd love to read about your stay on the WL thread::yes::

I showed these pictures to my DD(11) and she couldn't stop looking at them! 6 more sleeps until we're there.
Another one with a stay just around the bend. What a great time of year to be able to go. I hope you'll post about your stay, too.

Awww, thank you! I'm really looking forward to your CL reviews. Are you going to do a TR or just post to the threads?

Great pics, Kook!! :thumbsup2

We have just about 2 months until our trip and these pics aren't making the wait any easier! ;)
Thanks and at least it confirms you chose a great resort:thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing! My kids convinced me to change from GF to WL bunk bed courtyard view & I was feeling pretty bummed. This really helped :goodvibes.
I'm glad you feel better now and you saved some money, too;). BTW, if you haven't done so, you might want to add "INNER or WL" Courtyard View to your request, just to ensure your view is of the WL courtyard and Bay Lake instead of the VWL courtyard.

Yep, but it is always a peaceful way to end the day looking at more pics (framed and everything) of the beloved Lodge! :goodvibes

Thanks for throwing the framing comment in:goodvibes

You are quite the detective:magnify:. The chances are GREAT that the missing piece made its way into DH. The next missing piece, not pictured, most likely made it on to my plate:worship:

So beautiful! I just love WL! That lobby is my all-time favorite.
Ours, too and I can't wait to see it at Christmas:santa:

Oh, Kookster, you're KILLING ME! I was seriously about to yell for Danimal to come look. Then I realized the time, and that tomorrow is the first day of school. Priorities and all that. :rotfl:
Dani, you showed great restraint. Is it time to get him up now to look at the pictures?

Boy, I thought we started late here (last Tuesday), but you guys are even later. Good luck with the first day back!

Looks like it was a chilly day? When we sit in front of the huge window in the CL lounge, it overlooks that area and I rarely see anyone out there. It's great that you have your private niche:goodvibes

Awesome pics!!! We were at WDW at the exact same time, 7/31-8/10! I am now planning for next year's trip and WL just made it to my short list:cool1:
Why didn't you say HOWDY?! Keep us posted on your summer plans - you know where the WL thread is;)

We've got an ADR for Artist Point 10/10. I'm looking forward to visiting the lodge again. It's beautiful! I'm a little conflicted about the ADR though. I want so much to fit it in. That will be mnsshp party night for us and I have a 5:30 ADR. Although I won't be in costume my granddaughters will be. Hope we won't be out of place! Not really worried about getting to the party right at 7 and since we will have 2 other full mk days not concerned about getting there at 4:00. I just hope we can get in and out in about an hour or so and not be out of place with the costumes. :)

Is that good or bad, Miss FTP?:thumbsup2

It easy to get excited about WL. You'll be back so soon!

Thank you, Sheila! Howsabouts a split stay?

I figured it was well known, but then I realized I've never seen anyone out there. I've never been at night, but wonder if you can catch a glimpse of Wishes way over to the right:confused3

Ah, the pressure! I didn't want this to be a repeat of the last two WL TRs and I try to keep current info. up on the WL thread. Maybe tomorrow I'll just post a short trip summary. But, it might just sound like all the other trips:upsidedow

Great to have you over on this side of Bay Lake and thank you!

You'd need a villa or a Deluxe room, but I've never seen those discounted:sad2:. Have you considered a bunk bed? Those will fit even adults.

Awww shucks and thank you, but these must look very familiar considering you were staying CL right before I arrived:rolleyes1

Do it, do it! If you book a Deluxe room you'd have a see-thru balcony;). The views from the lounge out to Bay Lake and the courtyard are amazing. You could sit in the lounge 24/7 right next to the HUGE window. That's a great view and it's climate controlled, oh, and you'd be closer to food and drinks;)

It's tough not to make a change!!! I love the WL!!!

Do I even want to know what FTP stands for? :lmao:

KOOK, this is a swell pic thread. Your photos rock! Thanks for all you do here. :thumbsup2 If I don't get antsy and do it sooner, WL Deluxe CL will be our next anniversary Resort after FWC. Yep, still holding strong at FWC for Feb/Mar 2014. The only sad part is no magical upgrades to be had there, but we'll muster on because it's gotta be done and because I just got awesome FWC-centric ADRs last week!!! ;) I'm not much of an RCer these days. I know what I want. Take care! Christmas WL style sounds positively KOOK-a-liscious!

WDWKook,

Thank you for sharing these amazing pictures. I love the WL and have been there three times; but other than the seventh floor and the lobby I have never ventured around the inside of the resort. I assure you that is going to change when we return home Nov/Dec this year.:thumbsup2
