Surprised the kids, wife, and my readers w/ a 2 week trip to AoA!(*NEW* 11-7)

The back 9 holes look fun . Love the one with Santa feet in chimney lol

Defintely going have to check out mini golf sometime
that one was fun, it stopped alot of people from getting the ball through...it is a good time and worth a use of the water park and more pass on the ticket.

Nice update! It continues to look like fun and something I need to do sometime soon! :thumbsup2

Can't believe they didn't have a hole with a Fauntleroy coming out the top of a present............. ;)
you sure do...and they really need to add donald into more things, i mean he is what people go there to see afterall...not sure what all this mouse business is about.
:confused3

I love mini golf, therefore mini golf in Disney is just awesome! Glad you had fun!

Love your TR, can't wait to read more!

thanks, there mini golf courses are alot of fun, we are looking forward to playing again next trip.

Looks like fun. Makes me want to play golf when we go back down.
you should try and check it out, it is a great off day activity...and the holes are pretty easy for the most part each one gives you a shot at a hole in one. if you follow the directions on the signs. :thumbsup2

Some day I am actually going to play miniature golf at Disney. That course looks so cool. Congrats to Parker for his hole-in-one! :thumbsup2 Brings back memories of when my boys where that age. they LOVED mini golf!

they are fun, i bet you would enjoy them. the disney courses are great for little kids they make alot of them easy for them to get close or even a hole in one...which of course the kids love...and certain dads.::yes::

Yay! I'm all caught up! :yay: I'm glad Parker is having a better 2nd day. Thanks for sharing your "real life" pics! It's fun to see how much the kiddos are growing. Looks like a great birthday for Candi, and great score on the concert seats! The mini golf course theme is great! DS Ryan and his family got to enjoy it on their last day this year while the rest of us headed to the airport. He said the kids really enjoyed it, but I haven't seen the pics yet.

Great updates!:thumbsup2
i hope to have a few more pics of them from now to show how much more they are growing

im glad your son and family liked the course and im glad they were able to fit it in...it is a great down time activity there.

:thumbsup2

It's not really an official Disney attraction unless you get shot with water somewhere along the way.

Well, as long as you and he never, ever do that on a real golf course.:rolleyes1

Nice work Parker!

does kicking the ball into the hole count on a real couse? :upsidedow

i have trained him well into the art of mini golf hole in ones...:thumbsup2

sometimes calling a mulligan works to your advantage.:)

All caught up! WinterSummerland looks great - my DSIL has told me all about it, but we've never made it there. Looks like you guys had a great time! And glad to see that Parker seems to be doing better, too.

Looking forward to the DTD segment - we've always stayed in the Marketplace area, so if you went to the other side I'll be interested to see what it's like!

Great updates, Dan!! :thumbsup2

Glad to see Parker got some good rest and felt better the next day. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Noelle cracks me up, she's such a sweetie but she was not missing the tour of AofA, by golly!! She hung tough and made it all the way through, what a trooper! I love how she crawled up with Mama and just went to sleep, aren't they the cutest when they're asleep? ::yes::

Y'all did a lot of water parks on this trip!! :upsidedow
My kids keep saying they want to go to the water parks while we're there but I have a hang up about them for some reason. One being that it's something we can do at home (we have great water parks here in Texas) and if we're in WDW then I want to be doing things that you can only do in WDW!! :goodvibes
Although, I wonder if I would feel the same way if the kids were younger? :confused3

Playing putt-putt looks like it was a good use of time while Noelle was napping! :thumbsup2 Y'all got to have fun and Noelle slept, can't beat that with a stick! :)

So glad to hear y'all are having such a great time this summer. Looks like Mama had a great time for her birthday and y'all had a wonderful time celebrating your Anniversary with a good concert. :cheer2:

I don't know what it is about you East Northerners, y'all have such a zeal for getting out and really enjoying your time in the sunshine and weather (Tim and Mel are the same way). It must be that y'all really know how to live it up while there isn't any snow on the ground.
Here, we have so much hot weather I think we end up staying in more. I'm hoping Mackie and I will be able to hit Town lake before she has to go back to school this next week (she starts back on the 26th). She's in California with her Grandparents right now, so I'm hoping the beautiful weather (hey-93 is gorgeous for us this time of the year) will last out till she gets back and then we can go paddle boarding. I've always wanted to try it and I think it will give me a good idea if it will be as good a work out as I think it will be. :yay:

Can't wait to read more about your trip. Do you have another WDW trip in the works? I'm thinking about a solo Food a Wine trip, come 2014, maaaaybe. :goodvibes

I'm almost a year late but I'm reading along and trying to catch up. I'm about a million chapters behind lol! Love how you managed to surprise everyone! I can't wait until DS is older so we can surprise him. I'm not so good with keeping secrets though. Anyways, I'll try to come back on later or tomorrow and read more. Your kids have gotten so big and they're very cute! Parker looks just like you!

you sure do...and they really need to add donald into more things, i mean he is what people go there to see afterall...not sure what all this mouse business is about.
:confused3
Well, Donald and that mouse are okay, but I go to see Tink, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine........... :rolleyes1 ;)

i rarely venture much into that side of DTD, but it is fun to check out thats for sure. i really want to try the bowling and dinner option they have now.

the night was interesting thats for sure.

we ended up doing 4 water parks this trip, we know that we could go in them any time around here, but it is a fun no park just relax and take it easy sort of day for us....we plan to do that on our next trip as well.

thanks we are having a blast this summer we love being outside, so fun to keep doing different things.

and of course the kids love it, so that is plus.

yep we have another trip planned, it is for 2014....i will share more about it when it gets closer or this report is winding down, a few things are up for grabs right now, so just seeing where things fall.
it would not be during food and wine though, that is during school for the kids.

Cute mini golf! We have never done that, really looks like you guys had fun

might be a fun downtime for your next trip, we always enjoy it, and hope to do a few more courses this next trip.

it was fun to suprise him, even though we didnt get the reaction that we were hoping for. it was still a blast.

thanks, they are growing up fast, parker starts school this week, or big mr kindergarten man

Really cute pix of Golf !!Yay for Parker having the most holes in one !!!!
thanks rosie...i was very proud of him all official hole in ones, no multiple mulligans like marv likes to pull until he gets a hole in one.

Well, Donald and that mouse are okay, but I go to see Tink, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine........... :rolleyes1 ;)

well you have a point there. :)

Of course you do !!!!But yu forgot Minnie she is a GAL too !!!:rotfl2:

it was hard to be dissapointed with the result since ultimately that day we were going to arrive in disney.:thumbsup2

it does seem like it has flown by but also seems like we have done so much in that time so that is a plus.

it was cool. :)

she generally woke up really good from naps during the trip.

Chapter 67. You look like a soaked rat.

After golf we arrived back at the room and everyone relaxed and watched some cartoons on tv before got ready to head back out for the night.

We were set to embark on our 3rd fun day event for the day, first BB, second Golf and third was DTD

we always like to see who can see the fire station first going into DTD.

parker loves the themeing of it outside.

we skipped the first stop at the marketplace area as we didnt want to have to walk all the way over to disney quest. which was our first mistake.

we let him decide if we should eat first and then play or play then eat first.

with it only being around 4:30 none of us were that hungry yet but we should have just eaten first then played...but of course we didnt do that...

we stayed on the bus till we got to the west side and got off there we see a fun place we have eaten in the past and always enjoyed.

and my favorite the jenny boat.

basically a year ago when this trip took place noelle looks so much smaller and little, my how she has grown up in this last year.

as you look at these pics take note of the storm drains in the sidewalk, as we make our way to disney quest.

we never have eaten at this one but love the one on the other side of DTD.

getting closer to our destination.

when we get into the elevator to go up to the game floor parker is so excited he is a blur to the camera.

sort of has a herman munster size forehead going on.

candi found a cupcake she really wanted but we just took a picture for the time being to remind us to get it, but totally forgot to get

we played a bunch of the games.

parker perfected his guitar hero skills.
that stance, and guitar holding skill just screams PRO

noelle was occupied by the pretty lights.

this was parkers favorite game there.

the ninja swiping game

before we left he wanted to try his luck at dance dance revolution

with that we were ready to leave, but not before noticed it was almost 7 and the kids were starting to get really hungry.

we knew we should have eaten first.

especially when we get down to the bottom floor of the disney quest and find that there is a monsoon style rain going on outside.

we opt to wait a few minutes to see if it goes over or not

10 minutes later it is still raining buckets, the kind that if you step out in for 2 seconds you will be as wet as a shower or a dip in the pool rain.

so we do the only thing we can think of...we put the kids in the stroller put the front awning cover thing from the stroller completely over noelle.

but this leaves parker exposed to the the rain.

so we then take our umbrella and hold it over him while candi and i duck down so our faces are at the height of the stroller handle so he is covered fully and we try and stay somewhat dry.

we take off in a sprint...

well remember those drains well they are not built for a rain this size, there is vortex water spinning around them about 3-4 inches deep, it was going up to noelles feet in the stroller the wheels of the stroller were submerged.

we ducked into the first shop we saw an opening in, and assessed our damage....candi and i look at each other, i tell her she looks like a soaked rat, parker and noelle are cracking up to no end getting wet and mommy and daddy looking like we do.

we figure we are wet might as well keep going...onward to the marketplace side.

there are no covers from the rain all the way till you get to the lego store.

so that is where we go, it gets to the point that the umbrella doesnt help candi or i, we just hold it over the stroller to keep them as dry as possible

as we are getting into the lego area, you can only hear squeals of delight from both kids who are having ohh so much fun at mommy and daddy getting soaked.

so what does all that rain lead to.

well it leads to a shopping spree in the world of disney store of course, to find a few sweatshirts for the kids who are now turned from squeals of joy to squeals of COLD from the AC blasting on them.

we find parker a sweatshirt pretty quick and buy it, and throw it on him.

noelle is another story, i wasnt paying those prices for one for her to wear one year, so an extra small kids one for her so she can wear it for a few years was in order.

60 bucks later they were warm and ready to go to eat.

we headed to earl of sandwich, and candi goes up to order our meals, while i secure a table for us.

as soon as she heads back i run next door to wolf gangs to get the kids a pizza to split.

it comes out very quickly but seems like ages while i know the are sitting patiently waiting to eat.

luckily they had some of ours to tide them over.

and were at least now warm in there new sweatshirts.

and noelle kept busy flirting with the family behind our table.

i have to say the pizza even though it was just cheese was very very good, parker and noelle ate it up as well.

here is a shot on the bus on the way back so you can see there new sweatshirts.

of course getting back to our hotel the driver had to turn into the POP parking lot by mistake and we ended up driving around the whole pop resort then coming into AoA on the opposite side and making way to the bus drop off there.

which added a little more time.

on the way back to the room it started to rain a little bit so we ducked into the lion king section we came to first and walked as much inside as we could.

and it also gave us the chance to see the final hidden mickey in the carpet that eluded noelle and me earlier the other day.

a few times that night after dinner parker would cough once then freak out and work himself up and cough a bunch more.

we were able to talk him down then.

but when we got back to the room he ended up throwing up a few times.

he would just cough once or twice then get a look on his face like i Need to force myself to throw up cause i coughed.
:headache:

we figured we would see how the night went and plan the next day accordingly.

next day coming up lets see what we have in store for our last full day in disney.

Poor Parker. And poor mom and dad because I'm sure you didn't sleep much that night.

I'm glad everyone had fun at Disney Quest, but walking out to that monsoon did NOT sound like fun. I guess it made it difficult for you to remember to get food porn pictures. :rotfl:

Thanks for another fun update!

Looking forward to your last day.

For how many times I have been there I have never seen the Jenny boat...lol

Holy rain batman...

Yummy Earl of sandwich. Never been to Wolfgang Puck Express, next on the list. I have ate at the WGP Cafe though and it was delish!!

Poor Parker.... My kids are like that. When my daughter gets sick she screams at the top of her lungs like someone is stabbing her. Glad she doesn't get sick often!!

Great update!!
