Has an updated menu been posted yet?

I don't believe a full menu is available yet but there have been various posts on disneyfoodblog with items from the new menu and overall thoughts about it. Basically it is going to be similar, but updated. Also, some items are remaining, but getting a twist.

Oh, thank you for the sneak peek in menu items! I so hope it is open, AND we can get reservations, for our Thanksgiving week trip! I really look forward to trying the 12-course “omakase” menu, but I am guessing it won't be this trip, even if we get in, since we will be on the deluxe dining plan, and I doubt this fabulous menu will be offered!

I am so tempted by the omakase too! Some of the very best meals we have had come from chefs doing what they feel! ;) I do wonder what it will cost though.

Updates to the menu are welcome...can't believe the best seller at CG is the standard disney filet...ugh...they should dump this but I'm sure they never will.

I agree I wonder if its a special menu or will everyone order it??! Like can one person order that and another something else?? Or is it like a chefs table with a special menu?

oh I hope not... Everyone should be able to order it, that's how it is everywhere else! :faint:

I don't know if this is the fact, but I have always seen the Omakase menu mentioned in conjunction with the expanded sushi bar that you can sit at so it made me think it would only be available if you sat at the sushi bar ... which I would think make sense as I think part of the experience is watching the sushi chef prepare what he is making for you - but you bring up a good point about the situation of one person wants it and the rest of the party not wanting it

I've only had it at restaurants with sushi as well, but have always sat in the restaurant proper when having it (Tojos in Vancouver and Morimoto's in Honolulu are the most notable ones). Its not all sushi - most of the dishes came from their kitchens - so you wouldn't be able to see the chef make it all anyway even if you were there.

Edit: OK, Tojo's website says you DO watch them all get made if you sit at the bar. Sorry! You don't have to though!;)

It's a grey area for sure... I mean the Omakase menu intrigues me so I would love to try it but I really want the other menu too lol sitting at a sushi bar would be fun if we could order the Omakase menu and then share some of the other options as well :)

I'm not real concerned but I would also like to have an idea of what the Omakase menu is going to cost as well as the new menu... Like I said I am not really concerned but I would like to have an idea because if its like 100$ for the Omakase menu is it better to do that or maybe just order off the regular menu???

They have been to hush hush for me about the whole thing!

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and was told it should be very soon that they open reservations because the cast member said they have a few spots open for F&W events but nothing for regular dinner ADR's as of now.

I hope this helps.

I just heard a rumor that they are going to be charging 3!!! Dining Plan credits to reduce loud and poorly dressed DDP guests....

Is it worth it?
Would you still go??

I personally would not argue if it actually kept food quality up and a more refined atmosphere :thumbsup2

I heard from a reliable source that it'll be a character buffet and cost $20

Do you have a source for this? Because it seems to be as nonsensical rumor as they come.

I'm with you! We rarely use the dining plan anyway and it seems like some restaurants have reduced their quality over the years as a result of the dining plan. CG is one of our favorites and I'd be happy with whatever they decide if it keeps it up to our. Orval hi expectations :-)

The Be our Guest podcast posed it.. I'm not putting a ton of faith in it but it is a source I trust...

They heard it at a Disney Mom's Panel Event

If it really is 3 credits the cash price for pork 2 ways is probably going to be ~$80.

$25 for apps.

$15 for desserts. Sounds about right.

I can't help but feel they must have taken a joke seriously... if it is that spendy it's treading onto Victoria & Albert's pricing once you get a few courses and I would much rather try that. :confused3
