I have a "is it ok" question. In the CL, during the evening treats, say all I want is a cheese snack, which is location in the middle of the counter. Would it be impolite to just go straight to the cheese grab it & go, or would I have to get in line behind all the people who want a bit of everything? Would you consider the line a strict line, like a ride line, or would you consider it a buffet line, where you just grab what you like from which ever section & get out of the way? I'm just curious.

Generally, yes, they are fine just going to the item they want. There may be some exceptions, like if they need a plate.

It's a bit like certain check out lines where there are multiple registers...sometimes guests form one line and sometimes they form individual lines at each register. Sometimes guests queue up, and sometimes they don't. Lines tend to form at the very start of appetizer hour, the lounge is kind of crowded, everyone needs a plate, and most folks at least want to peek at all the offerings. After that, folks walk to the one item they want.

Poly is sort of set up so that there's a line for the hot food. At others (GF, CR) the food is spread out, and there is more than one place to get a plate. BC/YC lounges are completely closed off between food offerings, so folks tend to form a line. At GF, food arrived in stages, so there was never a queue, except at the latte machine.

The only times I've seen the YC lounge closed off was when they were setting up food offerings, or cleaning up. It was usually only closed for 15 - 30 minutes each time. Unlike the GF SL lounge, they left sodas in the fridge, coffee, tea and sometimes fruit and a few snacks (gummy fish, pretzels, etc.) after closing time at night.

The layout of the Poly, and the lines it did cause for the hot appetizers, was one of the things we didn't like about the Poly Club. Other places seem to have it set up much better and easier to just go to what you want.

We have just booked a TPV for CR CL May 2014 and this is the first time we are trying CL. I have a question regarding the IPO office. I know that they can make dinner reservations, but can they make reservations for other things like the spa? I know that dinner at 180 days in advance but does the same rule apply to spa reservations? Do they contact us or do we contact them? If we do contact them, what time frame is good? It seems like a lot questions, but we've never done this before and like to know what to expect. I tend to research everything to death way ahead of when its time to actually do it.:lmao:

Yes, I did this. However, I also had to call Senses anyway to fix the name on the reservation so it didn't really save me time. We also reserved Pirates and Pals through the IPO but had to call for the confirmation number. Senses will send you an email to notify you of the time of the reservation and the services selected.

As for time-frame, I'm not sure how booked up they get but I submitted all my IPO requests at 180 days out.

Thanks. We have most of our restaurants already picked out, so I'll just figure out when I want to go to Mandara and add it to the list to send them.

At bc cl right now ( I'm actually sitting at SAB .) I am loving the CL. The concierge couldn't be any friendlier or welcoming. They always remember us, stop to chat, and go out of their way to make our stay extra pleasant. The food in the lounge has been great, super fresh, and constantly replenished.

About the great water debate..... I asked for water to take to the parks, there are 3 of us so I asked for 3- I was told , " No, you need 6." Now every time we pass that guy he asks if we need water. To the poster asking if they should bring a case, I would say no- take advantage of the offerings in the lounge. This was supposed to be a special one time only trip for Club Level. Now I can't ever imagine going on vacation without it!!!

I'm glad you're having a wonderful time at BC-CL. We loved it there and are looking forward to going back next year. I do want to say one more time (and this is the last I will say about it), that CL is not to be relied on for an endless supply of bottled water. To anyone thinking of booking CL or anticipating a trip....if bottled water is very important to you, I would seriously consider having some shipped from wherever you are, using Garden Grocer, or getting to the Hess station near The BoardWalk and purchasing your own.

I had emailed IPO a few requests and my flight information so they could arrange my magical express...

I was told that I'd have to call to arrange ME myself.... Is that something new? I am totally capable of doing it myself of course... but I just thought it was odd?!?!! IPO has helped in the past and as recently as Feb 2013.

Anyone else have this problem? It makes me wonder if my requests will be accommodated..... Hmmm

I'm glad you're enjoying your club level stay. I actually enjoyed the BC CL better than YC, but I prefer the YC resort. I know it makes no sense. The BC CL had friendlier cm's and just felt less "stuffy", and more family friendly. The YC has better views and a quieter lobby, but I have never felt comfortable in the lounge. There has always been more convention people than vacationers when we have stayed there. It's very hard to give up CL once you have experienced it. ENJOY.

I can't help too much here as I've always booked my own ME, but perhaps you could call/email again and talk to someone else. I wouldn't be afraid to tell them that this hasn't been a problem for IPO in the past.
Good Luck!

I agree! The club lounges sometimes run out of things, on our recent trip to the YC CL they ran out of Styrofoam cups, people were freaking out about not being able to take coffee with them in the mornings... and I already told you guys about the BC CL running out of water bottles when we were there last year, so I think it is best to be prepared and not assume they will always have water at all times, every day, all year long. Things can happen, supplies can be depleted based on demand and/or availability. I would hate for anyone to be let down or caught off guard on their vacation. If they have water while you are there then great! :thumbsup2 But if they happen to run out next week, or next month, or some time into the future then that can happen and people should be aware it's a possibility. There's no magical water bottle fairy in the back room!! :lmao: :lmao:

I'm not sure why they told you that. IPO arranged ME for us just a few weeks ago, unless this is something that has changed just in the last few days. I know that sometimes you have to call ME directly if it is less than 30 days prior to arrival because they can put a rush on your packet and tags. But it looks in your signature like your trip is over 2 months away, so that wouldn't explain it. I would just call IPO tomorrow and hopefully you'll get a different person than the one you talked to today. I have to say I've had a few interactions with IPO CMs this year that seemed very new to things. Of course I'm use to sometimes knowing more than the person I'm talking to! LOL :rotfl:

Definitely try again. It's actually on the form you send in to the IPO where is asks: "may we arrange transportation?".

The same thing happened to us after our first CL stay! :goodvibes

IPO has taken care of our ME stuff for the past two stays, as late as April as this year! Not sure why they wouldn't be able to help you. :confused3

That's weird that they were freaking about styrofoam cups...aren't there some in the room with the in-room coffee maker????

Just goes to show you that people will freak about ANYTHING!

Teacher1717, do you have a fridge in your room. I am staying BC CL end of August and IPO has been very unclear if there will be a fridge in the room. TY!

Could someone tell me what IPO means and where to get an IPO request sheet? We check in August 25th at the BC CL and have not received any info yet. We did book our trip through Disney group sales. Thanks!!

IPO means itinerary planning office. If you haven't heard from them, definitely call or email! The contact info for BC CL should be on the first page of this thread.
