For us it was a trip to Disney in 2007 for 6 nights. We can't wait to go back. Hopefully next year for 6 nights again.

I've heard of RV'ers going for months at a time. I'm sure they have to be retired to do that. I think I would miss my children too much to do that.

Our family trip to China a few years ago was 16 days. Dh gets 5 weeks vacation & I get 4 so long trips are possible for us. Typically we do a week or 2 at the beach each summer and a few long weekend when school is out.

First trip to Disney was 11 nights . Last year we hit Lego land and then St Pete's . We were gone 12 days . Normally our trips last 7 days .

27 days combined Africa and Europe. We weren't ready to come home even then. I want to do a month in Italy next summer or perhaps the following year.

I'm kind of cheating here but took 7 day honeymoon to Disneyland (we flew) came hme and next day drove to WDW for 10 more "Disney" honeymoon days !! That was a long time ago :rotfl2: When retirement hits , I'm gonna break that record times 10 :thumbsup2

Right around 2 weeks, don't remember the exact number of days. I think I was in 7th or 8th grade. Family drove the minivan from Michigan all the way to California and back. Did a whole west coast tour type of thing. Grand Canyon, Vegas, San Fran, Vancouver, Mt. Rushmore, some battlefields, Zion National Park, Redwood Forest...I know there was a lot more to it. Really cool trip.

I have twice taken 16 day vacations-one to Italy and one to China/Tibet. Most international vacations I limit to 12 days; my longest WDW has been 10.

Oh, I was about to say Two months, on a cross-country RV trip. :goodvibes With my two youngest kids, 12 & 14 at the time. It was AWESOME! We did it the summer that DH retired; I was working as a school nurse, so I had the whole summer off. We packed up and left the day after school got out.

The longest couple trips we every did was a week-long mission trip to Jamaica in 1994 (don't get excited--it was a lot of hard work, no shopping, no beach time) and a 6-day trip to England and Wales in 2001.

Oh, I take that back! DH & I took our RV down to Mobile at Christmas & New years, then over to Destin and Sopchoppy, FL, to visit other relatives. We were gone for 10 days and we had a blast even though it was 24 degrees outside! :upsidedow

Last year we went to Disney for 14 nights. I never go anyplace unless its for at least a week. I can't see going all the way to Florida from NY for anything less than a week.

15 night Panama cruise
usually 14 nights at WDW......2-3 times a year.
Planning on a 7 night cruise and 14 night WDW trip next year.
Also a 14 night Transatlantic cruise
