Hello, I just upgraded our resort from Caribbean Beach to Animal Kingdom Lodge! We are only able to do a standard room, but I am still excited! We will be there Dec 4 - Dec 9. I don't know too much about the resort yet, but am having fun looking. If we are just a regular standard room, does that mean we will be in Jambo? Can't wait to go!

I asked for a Savannah view. Does this mean that we will automatically placed in a room that we can see the animals or do I have to do something special

Did you PAY for a savannah view if so, then yes, you'll get a room with a view of animals. However, if you only ASKED for a savannah view, then you'll likely only get what you paid for.

That being said, we only paid for a pool view, never asked for more, and were upgraded to Arusha view

this is my first time in a DVC..If I have a Savannah room and requested "Arusha" ..how likely is that? It my DH first time at the resort, so I wanted it to be special ...DD and I have had Arusha and sunrise before, so to us, its not a big thing..just didn't know how DVC worked

Anything and everything, Jiko is amazing.

If you're booked for a savannah view through DVC you will get an Arusha view, savannah view is always Arusha for DVC.

The filet and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is not on the menu, but last time we were there you could still get it. Soooo yummy!!! Enjoy it! It is a great experience!

I agree. I love love love that place!! The wait staff is so knowledgeable. Ask about the specials. Anything. So delicious!

It depends on the shape of the bottle. If an American gallon is two pints? It will hold 2 pints but sometimes the little bar on the fridge is broken and then it's dodgy! It held the biggest bottle of milk they sold in the AKL shop if that helps.

We loved the Zanzibar Fish stew ( if you like mussles , lobster etc), it is not pricey at all for what you get.
The lamb I had was expensive , but totally worth it !!
Marco had a sort of pie - filled with vegetables , he said it was awesome.
At the end I had a plate of various cheese - really good , as French cheese , but more "spicy".
Marco had , I think, "coffee" creme brulee . but wasn' much impressed.

All in all Jiko is marvellous , YOU WILL HAVE A BALL !!
Do not eat too much of those wonderful breads , sauces and flat-breads , or you won't have "space" for the main courses ...

2 pints = 1 quart
2 quarts = 1/2 gallon
2 1/2 gallons = 1 gallon

So..... 8 pints = 1 gallon

Don't worry, I don't get metric either.

As for the original question....I don't know if a gallon will fit but maybe 2 1/2 gallons will. Can you wait to buy til you've seen the fridge?
