Concierge/Club Level Information- Part IV, July 2012

Hi,

After a long absence we are finally returning to Disney World. We are planning on staying at the Yacht Club on Club Level. I cannot remember if visitors are allowed in your room.
Our son & girlfriend are staying at a different hotel, and will be meeting us every morning at the Yacht Club. Can we bring them up to our room? Sorry if this is already posted somewhere. I tried to find it but could not.

The lounges are for CL guests only. There is barely enough food for the people paying for it so I really don't think guests should be allowed to bring guests from other floors or other resorts. Now as for your room, I think it's fine to have people come up there. I'm not really sure why you would want to hang in the room when you're at WDW but I don't see a problem with it. Typically we have our family members meet us in the lobby because I don't even want to raise eyebrows of the CL staff bringing people up to the floor. But that's just my own personal opinion.

When using Magical Express, what has your experience been with luggage arrival? Does it get there in a reasonable time frame? Do you get any special consideration being club level? I am concerned about being stuck for the evening without luggage (we arrive at 1:00 PM).

When you say arrive at 1:00 do you mean your plane lands at 1:00? It's hard to know for sure what time you'll arrive at the resort, but I wouldn't count on seeing your luggage for at least a couple of hours. You can always choose to not use your yellow luggage tags and just go down to baggage claim and get them yourself and take them on the bus. We've done that many times.

Can anyone tell me if WL or poly have corona or vodka in the lounge?

No corona or vodka in any lounges. No rum or tequila either. The only hard liquor they have are the evening cordials at 8:00 PM and those are things like Amaretto and Grand Marnier. The types of beer offered are also very limited and vary by resort. They do offer various wines from 5:00-7:00.

Best CL overall on property, in my opinion and I've stayed at several (GF, Poly, AKL, WL, BWI).
Great lounge, STELLAR staff, great-looking rooms and views (we had MK view).

Thank you for the review and pics! SO happy you had a wonderful time!!!!!

ABD is Adventures by Disney which is their land tour company. ABD does some add ons for cruises as well...
adventuresbydisney.com

and there is a disboard forum...

I will check it out. I'm not much for tour groups. I kind of like to do my own thing. We are planning on doing a European cruise in 2 or 3 years. My kids will be 13 and 14 then. I want them to be old enough to remember it since the cost is outrageous. 10-15k on DCL. I haven't checked into other cruise lines yet.

Tossing around the idea of a possible RO CL reservation for our last night...CR or the Poly...

I can't wait to check out that view when we try Poly CL in December :cloud9:.[/QUOTE]

Oh my gosh mickeynut1, you will love it!!!

I remember the first time we saw the view at Poly CL when we were checking in! We were amazed and couldn't stop staring out the window!

TPV CL has the best views in all of WDW we spent so much time out on our balcony we watched Wishes the whole trip from there it was truly magical!!

The Poly would be my first choice. We haven't stayed CL (yet), but the Poly is our favorite resort overall.....we just love everything about it :goodvibes.

I am so excited to get there :yay:. I have 6 months to go, but I'm thinking it will be worth the wait ::yes::.

I can picture myself grabbing a seat and not moving the whole time we're there :rotfl: :rotfl:.

TPV CL sounds heavenly :cloud9:. I priced it out against GV CL and it's almost $500 more for our 2 nights, so I'll probably stick with GV.....but I'm sure we will still have a magical time ;).

Four more days until our long weekend resort only Poly CL garden view trip. Planning on spending a lot of time in the lounge! :thumbsup2

Where can I find some CL trip reports? I'm trying to narrow down our next trip to either BCR, WL, AKL, or Poly and I'd love to read some trip reports on those. Thanks!

And inside all of those reports are links to my other reports :) You'll get tired of reading before you run out of reports! :lmao:

Thank you WDWKOOK! Glad to have some WL reports to read - that's what we're leaning toward right now!
You're welcome and I updated my TR threads that had a deleted photo. If you have any questions, come on over to the WL thread anytime.

Does anyone know if they serve orange juice in the BC CL lounge in the morning? Also, was wondering if anyone knew if one of the cereals served is Honey Nut Cheerios? Just trying to figure out what I need to bring with us :goodvibes

All CLs serve orange juice in a large decanter. I've never seen Honey Nut Cheerios at any CL, but I've never stayed at the BC. Most seem to be the same: Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Rice Krispies.
