DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous, part 3... still goin' strong!

Ahh...now I remember why I didn't get tickets for Maroon 5 - I went to look what was still available, and the concert is when we are at Disney. Oh well.

Hope everyone has fun at all of their summer shows! I will be back home for awhile this summer, so I'll be at the Minneapolis show with a group of friends including my best friend and NKOTB partner in crime from back in the day. She hasn't seen them since the reunion and I think I'm more excited about her seeing them than me, lol!

My summer of shows started last night. I took the girls to see Taylor Swift and wow! Amazing show! It's a huge production! Florida Georgia Line and Ed Sheeran opened. Loved both. Ed Sheeran is extremely talented! Next up is NK, then Maroon 5 in September, P!nk in November. Yay for concerts!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoys the long weekend ahead!

P.S. Karen, if you are out there, your Bengals got a great pick with my boy Rex Burkhead! He should be a great addition to the team!

Hi all!!!

We are going to the Philly show, but like you guys, I'm not super super excited. Actually, my son was asked to play on a tournament team for lax and if we decided to do it, I'd have skipped the show...and I was completely ok with that!!!! What in the world? LOL I think part of it is that my seats BLOW.

As far as the album -- I'm not in love with it. I really liked The Block MUCH better and I can't really put my finger on why I don't like this one much. I hardly ever listen to it because I just can't get into it. It kind of makes me sad. I wanted to LOVE it.

I still love the guys and I still love the music and I'm still sooo happy they reunited and have done so much. But I think that the newness is wearing off and it's getting more comfortable...if that makes sense. I'm not nearly as obsessed as I was in the beginning. I wasn't even as jealous of the cruisers this year. The more I see of the cruises, the more I'm glad I haven't gone. Too much pressure & chaos!

However, we just booked a 9 nighter out of NYC on 4/5/14! LOL THAT is my idea of a vacation :)

I miss you too!!!::yes:: The Wanted will be fun!!! You won't be the oldest person there!! :rotfl2:

You're right. My sister will be the oldest. :rotfl: We met them last year at MixTape and all the teenagers were calling her a cougar because she was drooling over Siva.

You're going to the Philly show? We have to meet up! We will be tailgating so stop by :)

I like some songs on the album (Remix, Now or Never, Block Party, and We Own Tonight to name a few) but I could take it or leave it. Like you I don't love it like the Block. And right now I'm anti-listening to 10 because the Bruins are playing the Rangers and Donnie's all 'Go Bruins' when he never talks about them ever. So yeah, no NKOTB til this series is over. :lmao:

I'm going to a bunch of shows this summer too! I have NKOTB in June, Mixtape and Zac Brown Band in July, and Darius Rucker & the Wanted in August. Busy summer!

Fun! I saw ZBB last year and Darius at the SA rodeo this year. You'll have a blast! Both were awesome!

Sounds like a good trade off to me!!! :goodvibes

Too funny about your sis!! :rotfl:

Busy summer for you indeed!!!

We have a bunch this summer too!! Talk about feeling old, we're seeing One Direction in Hershey in July. ;) Then I have Maroon 5 and this isn't a concert but I'm taking Becca to NYC to see Matilda on Broadway for her birthday and then dinner after!! Can't wait!!! It's going to be a good summer!!

So, we had been having trouble finding good seats for the MSP show. Tickets for that show are being sold by a Ticketmaster affiliate. Just checked their premium tickets service and scored section 4, row 1 seats for 6 people... only $28 over face value! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I haven't been overly excited about this show, but now I am! Also excited to read reviews on twitter tonight!

Set the DVR's the boys are on the Today Show Friday morning with Boys II Men and 98*!

I am going to the show Friday at Mohgan and am going to try to keep away from spoilers before then. I have failed at being spoiler free for all the previous tours but maybe I can make it 3 days. :goodvibes

Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!! And report back! :) I usually try, but 7/20 is a loooonnnngggg ways away, lol! I am still thinking of going to a Texas show, but they are right before we start our month of traveling. Not sure I can handle driving 3 hours to Houston one day, and 18 to Iowa the next!

I peeked at the set list online. I was surprised Boyz II Men went on before 98* It looks as though they left Because of You out of their set and concentrated on their new songs. Sorry boys but no one wants to hear those!

I'll keep mum about the NKOTB set list - don't want to spoil it for anyone!

I read that 98* and Boys 2 Men will be swapping each night. I followed along on twitter for the opening show. Looks like a great set!

So...who is going to see NKOTB this summer? My sister and I are going to the Philly show on June 15 (soon!) and we are going to Mixtape Festival again this year in Hershey. NKOTB is closing out the weekend.

I'm going to Cincinnati June 25 (2nd row center) then here in Indy on August 4 for the final show, front row. I'm SOooooo excited! I followed Twitter last night and love the set list and stage!

Guess who just scored section 3 row 2 seats to Philly?? THIS GIRL!!! I just had to check last night to see if anything better than our NOSEBLEEDS was available and lo and behold there were FLOOR seats open?!?! I'm guessing VIP's didn't sell out for someone or promoters released seats, I don't know. Either way, we are down front!!! I'm way more excited about our show now! In fact, I'm downright giddy. LOL So is my best friend :) I just hope we can unload the crappy seats. LOL I've NEVER NEVER NEVER been this close to the stage for NKOTB! NEVER

Woohoo!

Anyone else watch the Boston Strong concert last night? It was amazing!

I watched some of it --- I watched NKOTB of course! And when Boyz II Men and Bel Biv Devoe were with them. Then Joey...oh I teared up again and again. It was just great and emotional. And now we have AWESOME seats! I'm so excited about that! LOL

See you in 15 days! ;) We don't have floor seats but we are on the lower level directly in front of the B stage.

You guys....I cannot tell you how incredible our seats were last night! The show was unbelievable and our seats were just awesome. Boyz II Men were sooooo good! Seeing them in their hometown was great. 98 Degrees! WOW! Nick Lachey? WOW! Our boys???? HOLY MOLY!! WOWSERS!! And any other word like that. LOL I don't know if the show was the best ever because it was the best ever or because of our seats, but we had the best time ever. The guys went right by us at one point, I mean int he crowd, right next to us. At the end, Barrett and Griffin were watching the show right next to us. He is flippin' adorable. He was singing along, grinning, waving his harms. Barrett was dancing and taking cell pics like the rest of us, while holding Griffin. LOL I spoke to her and told her Griffin was so cute, she smiled and said thanks. Then at one point they moved closer to the barrier, he was waving to his daddy (awwww) and Donnie decided to go do some crowd greeting. LOL So a small rush of girls happened & Barrett had to move quick. LOL She said to me, "Guess that wasn't a good time!" They hightailed it out of there before "Hanging Tough" was completely over, but it was so nice to see that they enjoy watching the concert too. And she wasn't surrounded by security or anthing. They were present, but at a distance.

Security was really good in our area! Front row people got a wristband and unless you had that wristband, they were not allowing you to stand at the barrier. We were 2nd row, so it was nice to not to have to worry about people rushing in and ruining our view too. They weren't allowing any BS which was nice!

I'm so glad we got those tickets a couple of weeks ago. It was completely worth it and I'm certain it MADE the experience.

On a sad note, I didnt' get to meet up with Jennifer :( My best friend is great, but time is not her strong point. LOL It's her time table and I just try to deal with it. Then afterwards, we left right away b/c she was nursing a migraine that came on DURING the show. :(

I think this tour is one of my favorites that they have done since the reunion. It is like one big party from beginning to end. I am so glad you had a great time!

That makes me so excited for Friday!! I'm taking two friends who have never seen an NKOTB concert. I've advised them that I will scream the whole time! We'll see what they say after.
