What interest level is there for organizing a Disney cruise "family" outing? This forum has several of us with families and it would be amazing to get several of us on a cruise in 2014 or 2015. My kids always have a special interest in meeting other kids with 2 moms or 2 dads. Of course we wouldn't discriminate. GLBTQ singles and couples are welcome to chime in as well.

Very excited about this thread! We would be in! 2 mommies with twins!

Hi, we're a very young family of two years (mommy and mama)...we have a 4 year son and we're anxiously waiting for our second child. We are visiting WDW with my mother and younger sister next year, but we would like to to go on a cruise shortly after just as a family and would love to participate in this event you're trying to put together...sounds like fun!

Welcome all! We are gaining some momentum now. I love it!

What are the thoughts so far? 2014 or 2015? Destinations? Lets get some ideas flowing.

I like the idea of Caribbean or Bahamas. Something warm and a beach:-)

Also gives options for different lengths of cruises. Wouldn't suggest a 3 day. You barely get started and its time to get off. Love the 5-7 day length cruises.

We're a 2 mommy family with a 3 yr old daugther. We took our first Disney cruise in April and had a WONDERful time! So much that we booked another while onboard...

We'll be sailing again April 27, 2014 on the Wonder...

Maybe this will be the magic date and cruise everyone decides on?! :cool1:

It's a 5 nighter leaving Miami with stops in Cozumel and Castaway Cay.

Look forward to talking with everyone!

I would love a Caribbean cruise! I think 2015 would be great, it would give us tons of time to prepare and plan!

2015 sounds great... maybe by then I'll actually have a SO to bring with me.:rotfl: I've been dying to do a Disney cruise. I've done a ton of RCL/Celebrity.

Even without an SO, we will one big happy "family".

Welcome "aboard" the thread!

I will be the group coordinator and start putting together a group for us all to travel together on a Disney Cruise ( SOOOOO excited!)

It seems like everyone is saying 2015, and Caribbean so the next step is what month? Since we all have kids, should we shoot for June when they are out of school? ( I think would should avoid spring break because of the ships are usually sold out, priced higher and we probably all have different spring breaks)

If you are interested, please PM me with your email address and I will start compiling information!

This will be great! :)

June sounds good to me! I am going to PM you now with my e-mail address. I think it would be awesome for our families to get together! Our kids can have fun, and it would be nice to have adult conversation too!

Hey - my partner and I are booked on the same cruise! :thumbsup2 .....so maybe others will want to join!!!!

We would go every year if we could! The April 2014 cruise would be nice but we have school age children.

Last week of May or June works for us. Prices are a bit cheaper then. I will PM my email address as well.

Sounds great. This may be just the thing I need to get over my fear of cruises. My GF and I have never been on a cruise. I'm a big chicken when it comes to being in the middle of the ocean surrounded by water.:scared1: I'm a teacher so it would be great if it were scheduled around the end of June.

No worries, my partner had similar concerns along with concern for sea sickness. We discovered quickly that it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. The ship is huge. We did get a room with an ocean view with seemed to help prevent motion sickness.
