Yep, I'm running it! Luke is doing great. I actually signed him up for one of the kids' races that weekend. Which is probably ridiculous. But the pictures will be SO CUTE.

The pictures will be darling! It's that kind of feeling that made us change our mind and bring the kids. Makes me kick myself for not getting Zoey an AP last year but whatever We are really excited to stay at Kidani any tips?

When we stayed there I really wish we'd gotten a room near the lobby. We were at the very end of the hallway and it was seriously like a ten minute walk. We DID request "lower floor near the lobby" but we got the exact opposite, so I guess this really isn't helpful advice.

If you have to go back and forth between Kidani and Jambo, sometimes it's faster to walk instead of waiting for a bus. The beverage station at The Mara is so much better than the one in the gift shop at Kidani, so we went over there to refill our refillable mugs whenever practical. We had our car, so we would just stop there on our way to or from the parks.

There were a LOT of activities that looked really fun, but Luke wasn't old enough to enjoy them yet.

So, my PTR has gone from signature dining, food and WINE as grown ups to hoping my oldest daughter will hit 40 inches in the next 3 months!! Is it possible? She’s a munchkin, a shrimp and teeny tiny… However, hoping that the Disney magic works and my adrenaline junkie daughter will finally be able to go on a few of her future favorites!!

So, a few days ago a Disney Planning video arrived (I really can’t help myself!) so we watched… Guess who wanted to go Disney right then and there? Yep… This kid!




How could I not feel guilty?! To add to it, both of us were getting cold feet about being away from them for so long. So a quick text to Zack… Saying something like… “Want to change our vacation dates and take the kids to Disney in September?” a few searches for flights and and room availability and we rebooked! The new dates: September 7th- September 14th. Where ? 7 nights at Kidani Village in a 1 bedroom standard. I am a little sad we will not be at BLT, however, I am sure we will have a stay there soon enough….. I found amazing prices on flights, about $90 each way! How could I not change! Plus, we can now celebrate Zoey’s birthday, Zack’s birthday and our wedding anniversary.
So now it is a family trip It should be a ton of fun, Olive will be 2, Zoey will have just turned 4 and we will all be together!

At the Grand Floridian in December….

So a few things we want to do on this trip….

1) MNSSHP
2) Dine at a signature with the kids! (am I crazy?!?)
3) Villains Bash (Friday the 13th ooooo Spoooooky!)
4) Chip & Dale Campfire & Singalong
5) Characterpalooza
6) Tons and Tons of meet & greets!
7) First haircut for Zoey.. Olive too?
8) Not be sick our entire vacation!

I have made most of our ADR’s made so I will post those soon with a very basic park schedule. Well, this was one way to shave a month off of waiting for our trip!

Hi Brenda! Glad to see you have joined We decided we are going to try one of the signatures for our trip, and probably skip all of the breakfasts I posted. We will be staying in a villa, and its generally easier to get the kids fed and going in the room than at a restaurant... However, I do think we will have a few characters breakfasts and Boma...

Great to know. I requested a pool view - I wonder if there is one close to the lobby. We will be checking in early so crossing my fingers for either an awesome room assigner OR an awesome CM If not who cares we will be in WDW! I saw that AKL had a ton of activities - Zoey is at this great age for that stuff too - should be good if we go back for nap times in the afternoon for Olive... Although - we are going to try and avoid them, Olive seems to just sleep when she needs to and not when we want her to

It's one of our favorite magic shots. We always get a good photographer there. We had one back in 2010 whee tinkerbell is in my hand and I have Zoey and a friends daughter (similar in age) staring at it the same way! The new trip is going to be a lot of fun.... I'm going to have to do a height chart and update it over the next 120 days... As of yesterday Zoey is 39 1/4 inches without shoes on! Her keen sandals will add about 1/4"....

Yes BLT can wait.... it looks like unless we buy more points or do a cash stay we will be looking at 2015 for BLT... We have a trip in Jan that we need to be cheap with points on too, because this added a lot more use... I'm so excited about the Halloween stuff, Zoey loves Halloween so it should be great! Plus, a villains bash?! Doesn't happen often in Disney

We will still celebrate our anniversary Just our wedding anniversary which we normally don't really celebrate. If often falls on Labor Day and we generally work holidays. Oct 6th is our dating anniversary which we celebrate (we actually got married in September to make it easier on our family's requesting time off hahaha, otherwise it would have been the Oct 6th I have such a hard time not including the kids in things, guess we aren't ready yet... However we have been throwing around the idea of bring my MIL so we could have a few date nights....

The title of your trip report caught my eye as I've encountered the same dilemma. For my son's surprise birthday trip in 2011, he so badly wanted to ride the RNRC (48" height requirement). He was just a teeny-tiny bit too short, so before our trip, I ran to the store and picked up some heel cushion shoe inserts! This worked like a charm!!! He met the height requirement and we had a blast (he also said they were very comfortable!) We still laugh about it to this day and it's one of those stories we always reminisce about. Have fun planning!

haha the thought has crossed my mind.... However, my daughter would announce it to everyone - she is horrible in the secret department! Although I think she is going through a decent growth spurt. She was up 2x last night crying her legs hurt..... So hopefully there is a positive to me not getting any sleep....
