So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

I have no idea if I ever subscribed to this and then lost it or what. But it will take me awhile to catch up. I'm through Page 15 pictures and details.

All I can say is I had to dry my eyes a few times reading this. What an exciting and very scary time you all went through. I can't even imagine how afraid you all were, but in the meantime being brave for the girls.

I love the MK with the fall decorations. I will miss that by going in June and August this year and not our usual September. :(

I love how you get pics of all the new merchandise.

And your three girls are absolutely precious.

Okay, be back tomorrow to try and do another 10 pages or so.

Don't forget my "quarter in the fountain" baby!!! I'm convinced it was MeMom's quarter throwing skills... After close to two years of trying that's got to be the only explanation.

Little one is due October 1st :)

I don't know if the fountain wishes for husbands work quite as well...I did get asked out on a date yesterday....by a creepy teenager in my store who we are pretty sure was a shoplifter.:rolleyes2. I had one of the boys walk me to my car at the end of the night! But I'll keep hoping!:thumbsup2

Congrats to all of our expecting Dis friends! So exciting! :)

Oh good heavens! We'll say that had nothing to do with Memom's fountain wishes...

Yay! :cheer2:
I am so glad that some that have never met face-to-face are finally going to meet!

Several of our DIS friends were having cold temps and even snow yesterday.

Well, the girls do like to try to walk on exciting things sometimes, but more on curbsides than walls. The wall that people sit on outside The Land in Epcot is the one they tend to want to try, but they don't normally think about walking on that particular Pop Century flowerbed wall. They were more than happy to join those crazy boys up there, though. ;) Luckily, no one was hurt in the fun. :)

Yep, that is a good idea. I will throw it out on FB this week, and everyone who is coming can, as well. It might be the biggest meet we have been to yet!

I know, because I raised boys. They did everything Jill never thought about doing - and they did it at a 120% full speed ahead. They have many battle scars that tell the stories.

We are looking forward to the fun in July! :dance3:

I have been wanting this to happen for you for a long time. It is too :cold: up there where you are! It is normal to be nervous with any move, of course. Will you try to go back to work for WDW?

Those menu boards were from Pop, but I can't wait for you to check out Art of Animation. I am just excited for you to be back on your old stomping grounds and be able to walk across the bridge to something very cool where there used to be abandoned buildings. :)

*****************************************

Good morning, DIStown!

We are so excited about our growing July DIS meet! :cheer2: We love meeting new friends and seeing others meet new friends.

This morning, our second-grade team is providing snacks for the 3rd and 4th grade teachers who are doing TCAP testing this week, so I have to get on and get all of that together. Next week, K-1-2 will do SAT 10 testing. After testing, everyone can breathe easy and have some fun to close out the year. It has been a good year for me, as I have had a good class. I have a couple of little 'stinkers', but nothing they have done this year has been anything near some of the issues I have had from some past classes, so I cannot complain one bit. I will miss this group, and if I ever had to loop up with a group, this would be it, but I don't dare say that out loud, because I don't want to loop at all; I just want to stay put in second. Of course, if I have a wild group next year, I may be eating those words about September, right? ;)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, friends, or Wacky Wednesday, if you choose. You could always dress like Bella did yesterday for her Wacky Tacky Day and see how things go for you. :thumbsup2

Help me understand SAT 10 testing? Abby has it next week. Do the teachers have incentives for their students to do good? I've always been curious. I can tell how stressed the teachers get, etc.

Don't forget my "quarter in the fountain" baby!!! I'm convinced it was MeMom's quarter throwing skills... After close to two years of trying that's got to be the only explanation.

Congrats! That is wonderful news. I will know soon if it worked for us:wizard:

My boys would tell you I do drive very fast but airplane speed??? No not quite!

And my kids would tell you that I drive very slowly. ;) I drive at the speed limit, maybe a mile or two under, just to be sure, but to them, they think it's like turtle speed.

Hi friends!

Awww, I wish I lived closer and could make it to the July DISmeet.

Hugs to Megablocks for having the latest tragedy happen so close to your home.

That fountain has amazing powers! Hmmm...what should I wish for...

Sorry, I haven't been around very much.
I am happy to know everyone is okay and that Jill and the girls had a good trip.

I spent a good part of the day searching flights, park times, resort prices and ADR's for September instead of August.
I logged onto the DIS this morning and came across the "new Free Dining dates" for this fall. I was surprised.
I haven't fully decided yet if I want to switch and go in September or keep the trip as planned in August.
The one advantage on top of saving money is being able to go to MNSSHP again.
It is tempting....we had so much fun at the party and your pics have reminded me of that.

I smiled at the pic of Brooklynn making her candy trades. I can remember doing that as a child too. :goodvibes

Getting free dining and the party? That sounds like a winner! ::yes::

That fountain is only good for certain things. It has not yet produced the money tree I have been needing. :upsidedow

YES, that fountain has been known to produce some amazing wishes that do keep us away from our DISfriends sometimes...so I wanted to say hi and let you know that I'm still here, and I've been able to keep up but not always comment.

Thank you for so many pics of WL!!! It's my absolute favorite resort! I love them all, but I could live at WL. I tell everybody I'm going to work at WL front desk when we retire. Though I guess I won't be really retired if I'm working, though, huh?? We haven't visited on our last few trips since they have been short weekend ones...BUT we will be going to WDW next Friday for 5 days!!!! I'm hoping we make time for at least a quick hello to my lovely lodge.

Have a fabulous Friday, everybody!!

With work and kids and activities, even Jill just gets to check in briefly here and there on her own report.

If I could take my whole family with me, I think I'd be happy working at Animal Kingdom when I retire.

I wish we lived close enough for travel not to be such a big factor. Hope you guys have an awesome time, and put a bunch of pictures on FB for us, please.

So, over on my TR I heard word of a July DIS meet in TN. What's the word? I had to cancel my June Disney trip and someone suggested the July DIS meet as an alternative. Where in TN? Hope I have a new job by July, but you never know.

Love your POP and AoA pictures. It's been so long since I've stayed at Pop and your pictures have me seriously missing it! You do such a great job and getting all the right details!

Nashville - July 6th. Anita and Marc will be in town for Trent's wedding, and Dawn thinks she'll be here with her family. Several have said they might make a long weekend of it. We'll meet at Opry Mills. There is a Rainforest Cafe and a Disney Store. We could go over to Opryland Hotel, if anyone wanted to, to look around. It's a pretty place. Some of you who like the nightlife will find all kinds of entertainment in Nashville. There are two waterparks and a zoo, for family activities. There are historical things - the Parthenon and such. I don't know if it's hard to get tickets to Grand Old Opry. I'd have to check the website, but that's another thought for music lovers.

Glad you liked the pictures. Pop has a special place in our hearts, as it was our first on-site stay.

Well this might explain something ;)
I don't know if it was our own wishes from the WL fountain in August, or some special MeMom magic, but you can add another Dis baby to the list. This one's due in October.
Still early days so don't know yet if we'll have another :earsgirl: or maybe this time a :earsboy: but apart from some pretty severe morning sickness all is going well :thumbsup2

Such exciting news! I hope the fountain is only producing babies for those who are ready for them. I would hate to think the stork is dropping babies all around DIStown to someone's absolute surprise!

Sorry you are having morning sickness. I had it for about four months will Jill. Not a fun way to start the day.

CONGRATS!! Hope you feel better soon!!

Yay for us having October babies! Mine is due the 10th. When is yours due?

From all of DIStown to ClaireW - best wishes!

Here you go!!!! It would be awesome if you could get away. :cheer2:

We will need to come up with a prize for whoever travels the most miles to get to this shindig! :goodvibes

Memom,
I need some guidance ;) I have a friend who's daughter has been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half :( I told her I knew of a fountain that has magical powers and I would be glad to make a special trip over there to make a wish for her :) Now, I did tell her I didn't know if it would work with anyone else but you, but I would give it a try! So, could you please give me some tips, like, do you throw pennies or what? Do you have a special prayer or saying? I told her if it didn't work that you may be able to throw some in for her on your next trip pixiedust: I would love to be able to help, poor thing is getting soooo discouraged and she's already a great mommy to a 3 year old. So, if you could please pass on some advice I would really appreciate it!

We usually throw quarters, but we'll also throw whatever other change we pull out, as well. I think the quarters are most effective. ;)

In all seriousness, though, we will send prayers for this family. Have they started any worked with a fertility doctor yet? And, of course, they say 'Try not to think about it' and it'll happen, but that's asking a lot when you so much want a baby. The good thing is, even if someone cannot have a baby these days by all of the medical means that are available, there is the avenue of adoption for growing a family.

Awww - how lovely - more babes :cool1:

congrats to both of you :flower3:

October is the best month - my birthday is in there somewhere :rotfl:

I have two October babies, too. :)

I concur...October is the BESTEST month to be born. ;)

Jill in CO

Sounds like an October birthday meet may need to happen in WDW one of these days!

I like taking merchandise pictures. It actually keeps me from buying things, as I can enjoy just browsing through the pictures whenever I feel the need to 'shop'.

We're almost ready to jump into May, so June trips will be here before we know it! :cheer2:

You are one that I think of for sure, when thinking of the fountain! :cool1:

I agree! That is definitely not the type of wish Memom would make!

Nooooo! We only wish for NICE guys for our DIStown girls! :thumbsup2

Help me understand SAT 10 testing? Abby has it next week. Do the teachers have incentives for their students to do good? I've always been curious. I can tell how stressed the teachers get, etc.

I will address this later today. I came home from school sick yesterday, and I am not doing so well at keeping my head up right now. As soon as I finish the responses, I am going to lay back down.

V
Congrats! That is wonderful news. I will know soon if it worked for us:wizard:

Hoping for another TN DIS baby soon!

Just popping in to say good morning.

:goodvibes

Good morning! I was going to do responses and then put up another set of pictures, but I am going to have to wait until a little later to do that. I sent a student home sick yesterday morning, and I was already fighting off being sick myself. By 1:15, I couldn't fight it any more, and I sent myself home! :crazy2:

Hope everyone has a nice Saturday planned!

Aw MeMom so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It must be tough not to catch everything from all the kiddos in class.

Get Better!!!!!

Hope you are feeling better after a rest :) It looks like Spring may finally have decided to come and actually stay here in CT

Get Better!!!!!

I very rarely get sick, but this is twice for this school year. Guess I'm getting older and my immune system is not as good. It is a real wonder that teachers don't stay sick with all of the stuff we are around! I was already feeling queasy when one of my students started crying and saying her stomach and head hurt. I knew if she 'lost it', I would, too, so I took her to the office and had them call her mom to come and get her. I fought it off until after lunch, but it was getting harder and harder, so I sent my kids off in pairs to the rest of the second grade teachers and to a couple of other teachers, as well, and I headed home. I ate a couple of crackers a little while ago, so we'll go from there. :)

I forgot to mention before that we had Carson and Parker with us for the evening while Brandy and Sloan went out for a date night.

If you have not yet had a chance to see Art of Animation yet, I hope you get to do so someday, especially if you have kids. I think they will really enjoy seeing all the huge icons.

While we were playing, Brandy and Sloan had time to get away and talk on their own - uninterrupted. Apparently, they realized they were having such a good time that they were not ready for the trip to be over. Brandy called and asked us to ask the boys if they would want to stay a little longer in Disney World, which would mean missing a school event that weekend, or if they wanted to leave the next day and go to the festivities on Saturday.

Jill asking the boys what they want to do. Without hesitation, they said they wanted to stay.

It was a fun evening, and were excited that Brandy's family was going to get more Disney time. :cheer2:

Some of you are probably wondering who stayed in the Little Mermaid room that night.
Well, no one did.
We used it to change clothes for the pool, and Jill went up to nurse Sophie while I was getting dinner with the kids. The intention was for Jill's family to stay there, and I would just stay at Pop, but the hassle of taking stuff over there for the night just wasn't appealing when it came time, so everyone ended up back at Pop.
I went back over there the next morning for more pictures, and Sloan and Brandy went over again the next day with one of our cards so they could check out the room, since they had not gone with us the night before. Other than that, it went unused, but we can still officially say we were there on opening year and did everything but sleep there.
We are contemplating getting a suite if we get to make a spring trip, but I'm a little wary of how I will do with interior hallways plus no balcony.
I may be sleeping under the stars out on a pool lounge chair.

Good morning! I hope you feel better soon. It is not only you. Jason and I have been sick multiple times this year and we usually do not get sick. We have had strep throat, the flu, and I had pneumonia. Jason looks like he has strep throat again. He started antibiotics today. He is being a trooper. He is taking me out to eat for my birthday tonight at Ruth Chris and he will not reschedule even when I told him that it was fine with me. Hope you feel better on this rainy Saturday!

Thanks for all the well wishes. Baby's due Oct 15th :)
And I second the suggestion from MeMom of an October birthday Dismeet - all being well this little one will get to celebrate their first birthday with a trip in October 2014 :thumbsup2

Hope you're starting to feel a little better MeMom, and thanks for still finding the time and energy to post the AoA pictures. I doubt that we will stay there but will certainly be taking our own little mermaid over their to look around. Maybe we should pinch your idea of booking a room for a night -I'd love to be able to use the Nemo pool ::yes::
