AoA Bus ? ... after reading all 135 pages ... From what I understand the busing has been for the most part very few issues. I'm never concerned about the wait coming back from the parks but more about going to the parks, I'm big believer in arriving for RD. Would it make sense, if lines long for MK bus, to hop on Epcot bus and take monorail to MK? Any opinions would be much appreciated as I've only been once prior, but have learned so many tips and tricks from the DIS.

We actually review bus service when choosing a resort. AoA, like Pop, has dedicated bus service, which is a huge plus. One stop, no worries about buses being full when they get there. We were at AoA for 10 nights in December and never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes for a bus. When one was full, another came pretty quickly.

We thought the bus service was great.

I am a bit confused. The description of the AoA suites says there is a queen size bed in the bedroom but the Disboards audio review seems to imply its a full. we are planning a trip for my family of four adults (My wife & I, 21 year old daughter and 19 year old son) AoA seems to be the only viable option. Places line POR (my fave) wont work as son and daughter cant very well share a bed. How long is the fold out couch in AoA?

The master bedroom in the suites (not standard rooms) has a queen size bed. From the Disney site description:

"Family suites include a bedroom with one queen-size bed; one double-size convertible TableBed; one double-size sleeper sofa; living room; 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette."

Little Mermaid standard rooms at AoA have double-size (full) beds, not queens.

We just stayed there last week. Queen in bedroom, full for pull out sofa and table bed.

While we are talking about beds here, do they have bed rails available or do I have to move the mattress to the floor for my 2.5 yr olds? And if they have them is it something I need to reserve well in advance? Thanks

Yes they have them. I don't think you will have to reserve them ahead of time. I have never heard of someone requesting them upon check in and not getting them. But it you do request them beforehand, sometimes they will be in the room when you arrive.

Hello! Can't wait to stay at AOA in just 5 weeks! A few questions I can't seem to find the answers for:
We have requested the Lion King suites. Has anyone had an issue with the noise from movies at night?

How long should we plan on travel to the Polynesian for an ADR? ( Disney buses)

I would like to know the answer to this question too. We'll be staying in the lion king suites in november but I would switch to another area if this is a problem.

What is the quickest way to get from AOA to GF for 1900 Park Fare?

Have not stayed at AoA but I would take a bus to MK and monorail to GF.

We've changed plans 100 times, but are set. Staying at AOA September 13th-22nd. Have only ever stayed at Pop, but after checking out AOA last year we decided to switch it up. Love their food options. And, obviously big fans of dedicated busses.

I would take a cab. We stayed at AoA and took a cab to chef Mickey. Super easy and < $20 for the 6 if us

I agree. Resort to resort I take a cab when possible. AoA or Pop to GF is right at $20 with tip.

Little Mermaid or Family Suite? We love AoA!

I've always just asked for them at Check-in. They usually bring them to the room within a few minutes (and once they even managed to have them in the room before we got our bags from the car and walked up there).

Little Mermaid. It's me, my DH, 4 year old and 1 year old (his second trip in less than a year...prepping him for a Disney life).

Might do the monorail from MK rather than cab since DD hasn't been on monorail before. But will keep cab option in mind.

Yay! I just booked AoA for 12/2-12/9 - the availability is getting limited so I bit the bullet. When flights come out we might move the dates a little. We are doing a family suite for just my husband, 2 yr old daughter and me.

We stayed there this past October in a Nemo suite for 1 night before staying at the BC and loved it! Love the pool, food court and the transporation is FAST!

We could only book "family suite" but I think we'll request Nemo or Lion King- not sure.

For the ADR we ended up just grabbing a cab at AOA. It was definitely worth it. Only about $20. I was really worried about making it on time since I knew we had to take the bus to a park and then the monorail. On the way back we took the monorail to MK To see the fireworks and then the bus back. If you take the bus I would probably leave an hour and a half before your ADR just in case. Xl

They did have half gallons of milk but I can't remember the cost.
Thanks so much for your reply. For $20 taking a cab sounds like a much better idea. I will plan on that. Thank you!!
