June 15 - June 22 2013 Eastern Fantasy

How did all the newbies do with ressies last night? I saw some chatter on fb, and it sounded like things went relatively smoothly. What port arrival times did people get? What nights/times will you be visiting Palo?

It went well. My PAT is for 11:30. I got BBB ressies for my daughter (mermaid pkg) and reserved the Sea Blaster for St. Thomas (full day was sold out). I also got a 6:00 Palo reservation on St. Thomas night. The only thing that we weren't able to get were Pirates League reservations for the boys. Only morning times were available, but I can do their make-up myself. It's a good thing that I'm on spring break this week because I'm in complete planning mode now!!!

We are still in too! I can't wait!

We were able to make the port adventures we wanted, but I couldn't get Palo in the night was wanted. Still looking at other nights now. I had a couple of issues checking in, but all was well this morning and we have 11:30 boarding.

I would suggest the Vista Café on deck 4 in the Atrium area at 3pm. The pool deck would be crowded and hot. The Vista café is centrally located and is like the Promenade Café on the classic ship. There is a bar right there so if anyone wants a drink you can get one right there.
Never having been on the Fantasy and not having spent much time on the Dream, I think I will agree with Dan's suggestion. Sounds like a plan to me. :thumbsup2

Also, what is the consensus about a meet and greet? Can those of you who have cruised the big ships before suggest an appropriate location, and what time/day does everyone like to meet?

The Vista Café sounds like a good place to meet. On the maiden voyage of the Fantasy we had ours in the Outlook, but quite a few people couldn't find it, lol. It wasn't really well marked.

For those that have been to St Thomas on this trip in the past...we are considering taking the public ferry to Honeymoon beach for a couple of hours, back for shopping, and the sky lift.

Are we trying to put in too much? Has anyone used the ferry? I DON'T want to miss the boat, but since we are just going on our timeframe of swimming and shopping, I thought we would be ok. TA says they wouldn't try it. Any thoughts?

I think you would be fine - here's a list of ferry schedules to Water Island:

http://www.vinow.com/waterisland/gettingthere_wi/

Looks like the Fantasy is docking in Havensight so you'd have to take a cab to Crown Bay. That wouldn't take long at all (the two docks are about 3 miles from each other) and the ferry only takes about 10 minutes. Water Island is tiny so getting to the beach would be a simple walk.

Go to Google maps and look at Charlotte Amalie - I think finding all the points on your proposed schedule would assuage your concerns. You could always skip the sky lift if you feel like you're running out of time.

HTH, :)

I still have not found my waterproof camera. Most likely, the camera will be in one of the suitcase pockets, and I won't find it until we haul out the big guys and start packing! At least I now have two different camera recommendations to look into, so if I have an extra camera, so be it!

My family is in agreement on the Vista Cafe at 3. It is a great location to watch late arrivals enter the ship, and you can usually pick out the first-timers with the way they look around at the atrium and the joy on their faces. The one thing I miss about doing certain vacations multiple times is the feeling you get when you first experience a wonderful destination. I do admit, it is nice though to have experienced the Fantasy before and know where I am going on the ship, though!

Does anyone know if the Fantasy offers chocolate covered strawberries in the Vista Cafe yet? They were abundant on the Dream, but when I sailed Fantasy this past summer, only white chocolate ones were offered, and none of us cares for white chocolate. Something about chocolate on a strawberry, yummmmm, it is almost health food!:goodvibes

I am also up for a meet at Disney before the cruise, for those that are there early. I know it is a bit soon to plan for that, since who knows where we all will be and what we will be doing, but my family is staying at AKV-Jambo house, and the only plans we have set are the Be Our Guest restaurant Friday evening before the cruise. Must go and pretend to be royalty, you know! :cutie:

I'm assuming the FE list is final? :confused3 How is the list going to be split? We're getting down to the wire!!!! :hyper:

The entire group will be split into two groups with some participants electing to be in both groups. Therefore the total in each group should be approx. 20 to 25 participants in each group depending on how many fall out due to non confirmation by 4/7. I will officially split up the group shortly after 4/7.

I'm so excited that next week we'll be in the single digits on our countdown. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of the nice people that I've met via the boards and the fb page. :)

Hey there! I'm Alyssa, MousyMe's DD14. I've been keeping up with the posts on this thread, and since my mom's been at this for a while, I thought, Hey, why not give it a shot? So, here I am! :cheer2:

It's wonderful to see that there's so many kids my age! I'm SO excited to meet all of you. I love making new friends, and what better way to meet new people than a cruise? So, if any of you would like to give me some information about teen activities on the cruise, it would be greatly appreciated! I also encourage that you ask your kids to make an account so we can get to know one another before the cruise! :goodvibes

I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND!!!!! :banana::yay:
