October 2013 Code Watch?!

That's not a good news!

Well, I guess I might have to suck it up and get the tickets now before it goes up more? My Feb ticket was about $245 and for Oct, it seems like I have to pay $345!! I was hoping it'll be about the same but for some reason Oct is more expensive....

It's crazy! Isn't it ?!?!?!

I know..........it seems like it is more expensive because I'm departing on Saturday, and leaving on Saturday...if I leave on Friday, it'll be about $100 cheaper......but I don't want to shorten the trip so I just booked it. At least we put in $600 from mileage so it helped a little.....

I am so excited that Easy WDW just put up their predicted schedule for October! It matches touring plans and now I am ready to make my ADRs! Yay!

Where? I can only find up to Sept 2013......I only see Oct 2012 version...

I'm totally with you! We're going from October 26th until November 2nd....I just signed up for the forum today to keep up with things happening in October!

As far as airfare goes, I have noticed that early in the week they tend to be cheaper. Compare the cost on Mon or Tue to the ones at the end of the week. Most people buy tickets around paydays which are usually at the end of the week. I always wait until early in the week to get mine. Hope this helps! :goodvibes

I noticed on Southwests website that it lists Tuesdays and Wednesdays as their cheaper airfare days. But they are only booking up until November 1st and we come home on November 2nd. They aren't updating their booking dates until May 6th. I want to book my flight so my entire trip is booked. :)

I am watching flights for November. Does SW typically come out cheaper when their dates are first posted. ? The flights I'm seeing from them now (the ones that are out)don't seem all that great?

I honestly don't know. But they definitely seem to be cheaper than anyone else. I'm watching AirTran as well but they are linked with Southwest and their booking dates won't update until May 6th too. I'm watching Jet Blue too but I can't even put in my departure date with them.

Southwest used to come out cheaper when they open a new schedule but I am noticing thats not the case anymore.

I find cheaper fares a few months before our trip.

Southwest's fare sometimes go up and sometimes go down after they are released. We usually try to book when they are released and keep watching the fares every week. Since Southwest lets your rebook and get a credit for the difference there isn't too much risk. We usually book two one way tickets so if one leg of your flight goes down in price you can rebook just that part.

Three weeks after the release day one of our flights is sold out of Wanna Get Away fares so we are glad we booked when we did.

Southwest's schedule is now merged with Airtrans. We have one Airtran flight and one Southwest flight booked for our trip. We aren't liking this change. There are very few direct flights from Philly to MCO as they are adding Airtran layovers in Atlanta. Probably why one of our flights is sold out already since it is direct.

I've been looking for fare since October of last year, when we booked our trip....just a little excited to go lol The bigger airlines had bookings back in January, but they were out of my price range. And some are just ridiculously priced, even now. I figured Southwest, AirTran and JetBlue will be the cheaper airlines to book with.

I think Airtrans will go down. They are 340 for round trip in Oct, but if you look up dates for may they are 304. I'm holding out and checking on seats everyday. It's the last thing I need to get in place and its killing me not to have it done.

I hear ya! I just have too book our airfare and our trip is 100% booked. I can't wait but I'm not settling. I still have time to book our airfare.

we are first year annual pass holders and are planning our first trip to EPCOT F&W festival. I am hopeful that there will be room discounts during our trip planned for 10/22-10/26/13.
