Great shots Harry. How you liking the Pentax?

Hey Mike, I really like the K-5. It's got the best feel (ergonomics) of any DSLR I have ever used. I also really like having IBIS like the Sony's have. I keep looking to see if SAR has any info on that new Nex 7n. I would love to pick one up to go along side the K-5II.

One thing I'm not used to is shooting all weekend on 1 battery. With the Nex, I would have to bring 3 batteries for a weekend of shooting. I also really like having a lcd on the top of the camera. I usually leave the rear lcd turned off.

I see rumors floating around on SAR but nothing solid yet.

Take a look on Amazon for a cheap back up battery. I cant believe you did all that Disney shooting with one battery lol

Harry, I'm loving your FQ shots! Please don't stop posting til we've seen them all!

Thanks 2Tiggies, I really appreciate that!

Mike, I brought 2 batteries but only charged one every night. I can get about 700-900 shots depending on if I leave the lcd turned off.

Awesome pictures as always buddy :thumbsup2

Im still wondering how everyone manages to set up shop in the middle of the street lol. Do they block off that street and allow only foot traffic?

Yeah Mike, on weekends they close off sections of the street for pedestrians and performers.

Are we at that much of a disadvantage as Pentax users?

http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Lenses/Camera-Lens-Ratings

I don't worry about lens ratings or numbers. I like to look at pictures to judge lenses. If those stupid numbers were so important, no one would shoot Leica's.

When I bought the K-5II, I ordered both the Sigma 30 f1.4 and Pentax 43 ltd. Both lenses are awesome but I kept the Sigma because it was $289 versus $489 for the Pentax. I will say I prefered the shots from the 43 but it's just not wide enough for my shooting.

DXO rated the Leica the worst FF sensor tested but to my eyes they produce the most magical looking photos. The same goes for the Leica and Pentax lenses, they may not be the most advanced or sharpest but they are magical.

When I use my Nex, I find that I like to use an old Rokkor 50 f1.4 or Helios 44-2 the most. Maybe I'm just crazy?

Hey Mike, this is the famous Bourbon St. I think this shot was taken around 4-5 AM. The party really never ends. I was pretty drunk myself after countless beers and shots. Most people just hand out in the street and drink. Women show some skin for beads. It's actually really unbelievable to see in person. I had enough that night to last me a loooooong time. The daytime is really mellow down there with families touring and enjoying the best food you can eat.
