Jodi Arias Trial Part 4, starting with redirect of "expert" Dr Samuels, March 19

:furious: I saw this earlier and HORRIBLE that the courts let him WEAR that shirt. :furious:
He wore it under a button down shirt and opened the outer shirt. The judge didn't see and said he would not have allowed him to wear it.

"Lane was defiant during the sentencing, smiling and smirking throughout, including while four relatives of victims spoke.
After he came in, he calmly unbuttoned his blue dress shirt to reveal the T-shirt reading "killer," which the prosecutor noted was similar to one he wore during the shooting.
At one point, he swiveled around in his chair toward the gallery where his own family members and those of the slain teenagers were sitting and spoke suddenly, surprising even his lawyer.
"The hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory," he said, then cursed at and raised his middle finger toward the victims' relatives.
A statement released later to local media by the court on the judge's behalf said that he wasn't aware of the shirt and that if he had noticed it he would have halted the proceedings and ordered Lane to wear proper attire."

I hope one of the jurors asks this question:

When a person murders another person and claims to have fognesia, does this fognesia manifest itself in such a way that the murderer will only remember the events that help their defense but will forget any event that might hurt their defense?

Fognesia! I love it!

I can't take credit for coming up with that term, but I wish I could! It was one of the clever folks at WS.

I saw a video earlier where he walked into the court room and sat down next to his DT, proceeded to unbutton his shirt (he had on a light blue dress shirt) which showed the killer t-shirt.

In the video I saw his DT DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as he removed the shirt. AWFUL. I could not believe what I was seeing and what jerks his DT was to say nothing to him. :furious:

I tried looking for the video of THAT to post here but it seems to be surprisingly missing from the 'net.

Anyone going to watch HLN After Dark? Is Baez going to be on again tonight?

So the jury tonight is to decide whether or not she is faking the PTSD, correct?

I didn't understand why he had that and it was allowed. At first I thought that it was him being remorseful and labeling himself in a negative way, like, "I'm nothing more than a terrible killer and feel so bad that I shouldn't even be considered anything else". Still, I wouldn't have found it acceptable and I don't know why that judge didn't say "Nope, court is in a 5 minute recess" and take that kid in the back, make him take off the shirt and put back on his button up. His lawyer said he was "shocked"...well he should have been so shocked that he tell his client how inappropriate it is.

I am trying to understand why the judge let this happen, he was allowed to rule the court room .

I saw the results of the voting a little while ago and had flashbacks to the CA trial. Two "jurors" voted not guilty. When questioned, one of them said, "Well, you think she's faking it, and I think she's faking it, but we can't PROVE that she's faking it" (or something to that nature). There is NO evidence that she has PTSD. It's convoluted thinking. Heaven help us when these people wind up on juries... :crazy2:

ETA: I don't know that I could have controlled myself in the courtroom when T.J. Lane had his outburst. Thank goodness, he got life in prison without parole.

i don't know why they voted that way. The Dr. admitted they all lied. PTSD has nothing to with her murdering him.

Some people just like to go against everybody else! I bet they're quite stubborn in real life :rotfl: I think the only one who made even partial sense was the lady talking about Jodi's irrational actions and how she lied about some things but not what she should have lied about- something to that effect. I'm assuming Jodi has been through a psychological evaluation that deemed her sane? Or is that what Samuels did? See, I can't even follow anything anymore!!!

Sorry I disappeared yesterday, I had some things come up and i did not catch up till this morning.

In my view JM completely destroyed this DT's Doctor's testimony and credibility even more yesterday. The DT tried to help him after, but they did not very much IMO. When the jury questions hit (hopefully today) I really think this guy is gonna be in some major trouble because he has made SO MANY mistakes.

Sucks we have to wait till (at least wish the lateness of this trials start time) 4PM EST today to see this resume today, really hope DT is close to wrapping their part up so we can get to Jury questions.
