Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the same poster who decided to get god-awful Wonderful Christmastime in my head back in late December? I'm quite certain you are. And then you hit me with this post? That's it. You are evil and you must be destroyed. They're adding a giant Mickey Shoe to go along with the hat.
Causing thousands of guests to then be milling around that area...
waiting for the OTHER shoe to drop.
They better not be getting rid of that hat. I may be the only one in the world that likes it!
With the closings of CTF and DCR BOTH on the same day,do you think that is just "coincidence" or could Disney be "clearing" out the "Hat area" for some purpose?
Does anyone have any "inside info"?Thanks.
No more parade after 4-6...Not coming back--Everyone has to rebid for jobs --others being relocated.. Major expansion to be finished by 2016...Star Wars !!! Something for the boys!!!
Exactly right! Same cast. If they closed one and not the other, then the performers would only get a half-day of work (and pay). And it would be tough to assign them other roles because the performance matrix doesn't necessarily match. They're closing on the same day because... it's the same Cast. I think you're over thinking it.

Magic ruined. For. Ev. Er.
Seriously, though, I'm intrigued by this. Where else are there "overlapping" CMs? I assume the castle stage show performers in the MK are also the ones that do the Celebrate a Dream Come true parade. Where do the nighttime parade CMs come from? Or are the parade CMs the same, and they essentially just work second shift? Gimme more inside info, Berlioz! If you can, that it. Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

But, it's just lil' ol' me.
The Parade/DCR/Fantasmic Cast [Operations+Entertainment] were notified about this change Friday, only hours after the decision was made. There are many rumors about why this is happening, such as park expansion for Star Wars Land/Lucas Land type stuff, but the only thing that has been confirmed is that there will be backstage roadwork in the area of the parade route before it starts and after it ends, and that the floats will not be able to pass. The Disney Channel Rocks float that's the same path that the parade does to exit.
Posted this in the Rumor thread I posted the other day, so I'll post here so you all can know also.
