Good morning everyone!

How about some updates?

Let's begin with a lunch update from superchime.


"The 3 year old is the only child in America who doesn't like mashed potatoes, so he subbed fries and then had to share."

Our nearly 2.5 yr old DD refuses to eat mashed potatoes too! Weird right? Lol

Good morning!

Let's get started now with yesterday's updates, beginning with our First Update of the Day from superchime.


She and her family were at Animal Kingdom on Saturday and had lunch at...

Here is what they chose...

Pot of Monk's Blend Tea


"This hit the spot since it was chilly, and I love the tea pot."

Shanghai Express
Captain Morgan Spiced rum, DeKuyper banana liqueur, peachtree schnapps and tropical juices.



"DH had this and said it was fruity and rummy."

"The kids devoured a basket of potstickers."

Wonton Soup with pork wontons, clear chicken broth and vegetables



"And DH had Won Ton Soup."





"I skipped the appetizer because I knew I was getting a gigantic plate of noodle..."

Vegetable Lo Mein - lo Mein noodles, carrots, cabbage, green onions, bean sprouts with tofu added




"I really liked it, but it was a lot of food. I liked that there were a ton of veggies."

"The kids also had lo mein, although we could have all eaten from my plate."

Crispy Mahi Mahi - filet of mahi mahi, Japanese bread crumbs, Cantonese sweet and sour sauce, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables


"DH had the mahi mahi, which he loved. I think this was everyone's favorite in-park meal so far."




"And of course we had the won tons for dessert!"

Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle




"A couple of decor shots. I loved all the "artifacts"..."

And another update from superchime, this one from their dinner on Saturday night at...

She said, "We were in the area, so we headed to Sanaa. I love this restaurant and we eat here every time we visit."



"The animals had just been fed and were active. One zebra was running around stirring up trouble, chasing the birds and other animals. I've never seen a zebra that active."

Here is what they chose...

"We started with the bread service and chose cucumber raita, mango chutney, coconut chutney, tamarind chutney, and spicy jalapeno pickle. The coconut was a little spicy, the jalapeno pickle was HOT but great. Everyone loved the breads and the kids liked the cucumber raita and the tamarind chutney."




"Then on to the salads!..."

"Top to bottom we had Roasted beets, Watermelon, cucumber & fennel, and Bhel Puri."

Kids Grilled Fish of the Day served with Pearl Pasta, Green Beans, and Carrots


"The pearl pasta was a hit. I have to look for that when we get home."

Kids Grilled Chicken Breast served with Basmati Rice, Green Beans, and Carrots

Vegetarian Sampler with Spicy peas, chickpeas, & potatoes and Paneer Tikka

"DH had Lamb Vindaloo and Butter Chicken."




"No dessert but our waiter was kind enough to offer the official Sanaa wheelbarrow to roll us out!"

"Mom's Plate: Cherry Danish and fresh strawberries and grapes"

"My plate with a cinnamon roll, apple danish, fresh berries, salami, and plain yogurt with granola and pecans."

"Hot plate of eggs, cheesy potatoes, bacon, and sausage."




"The meal was pretty good. It's really more about the character experience though."

Now for a lunch and a snack update from tstidm1.


Yesterday he was at DHS and had lunch at the Sunset Ranch Market's...

First a menu pic...

And he chose...

"I got the Angus Cheeseburger. It was okay, but looked like it had been around a bit. Fries were cold. Ate less than half. Should've had lunch at Animal Kingdom."





Then he said, "I got hungry after a couple hours at Animal Kingdom, so I grabbed a snack at the stand next to Yak and Yeti."

"I had the two egg rolls for a snack. I had to wait a couple of minutes for them, but they were pretty good.
They were hot and flavorful."

They were at Epcot yesterday and had lunch at...


Restaurant Marrakesh



Here is what they had...

"Their special bread was served hot. It was delicious."

"Chicken kabobs with olive salad and sweet couscous with raisins."

"Lemon chicken served with potatoes and preserved lemon."

"Birthday baklava! They sang "Happy Birthday" to a little drum as well."



Marakesh was a pleasant surprise! I would absolutely go back. Because it's so secluded, it was far from crowded and a very nice, peaceful lunch. The live entertainment (music and bellydancing once every hour) was very nice as well."

Next we have another update from tstidm1, this one from his dinner last night at...

"After a couple of rounds on Star Tours and Muppetvision 3D at Hollywood Studios, I was getting hungry for good food and Kitschy trailers at SciFi Dine In theater."

"The menu had changed since last summer, so I was interested in trying it out."

The Reuben - Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, Swiss, and Thousand Island Dressing on Marble Rye Bread


"I chose the Reuben from the menu because I wanted something different from the burger. That also drove me to have the seasonal vegetables instead of fries. Sandwich was very good and not so big like the New York version. The seasonal veggies were a couple different veggies and well done with light seasoning."

"I had the chocolate shake for dessert. It was thick, creamy and rich. The perfect way to end my last dinner at Disney World."

Mussels Provencal with white wine, tomato, garlic, onion, basil and butter


"We almost cancelled this reservation. DH says thank goodness we didn't as the mussels are TDF!"

Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops with seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce


"Perfectly, perfectly cooked scallops AND shrimp. Nice but unremarkable sauce and crispy pastry....delish!"

Pork chop with pommes frites (subbed for the au gratin macaroni) and green beans


"DH (the guy who wanted to cancel) rated this his 2nd favorite supper of the trip. Le Cellier bone in rib eye ranks #1.
Seriously though, this food was so much better than expected."



The dessert tray...

"Hmm, thanks.... Sort of Oreo (?) mousse with chocolate dragees. But, really nice to have our anniversary remembered."

They were at the Grand Floridian last night to have dinner at...

Hi barb! Just wanted to let you know I booked last night for may 13-20...woohoo! No dining plan this time, so might not have quite as much? Not sure, cause I do love to eat! Anyway, wanted to throw out there if you'd be interested in us doing live reporting again, we'd love to!

She will eat them roasted with seasonings , French dry form and sometimes baked. Kids are so strange sometimes.... Wonderful but strange! Thanks for your updates. I love seeing the healthier kids meals!
