Hi Pikcdust and Jdjamesmom and any other newbies to the DISboards! We are ok with adding more to the FE3 group -- so you're in, and we'll keep it open until the evening of the 20th. Right now we're quite small, so you're not making a huge last-minute commitment. Rather than going through FB and 10-post-PMs at this late date, please simply click or copy this surveymonkey link and share your information with me. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PBPJ5V9. Hopefully this will work better; I'm not sure if the moderator of the DISboards allows this sort of link. We'll find out!

The more the merrier

Hi there. My husband, 2 boys (ages 2 and 4-1/2) and myself will be joining you all on the cruise out of galveston on March 1. I have so many questions. I've read some reviews that have not been very reassuring, though. Has anyone else? With the kids sail free promo i'm worried about long lines, overcrowded pools, etc. Has anyone been on a cruise since this promo was announced?

I rquested to join...we'll be on that cruise. Are you all still taking "friends" on that page?

Hi, and WELCOME! I am sorry you are having second thoughts after reading negative reviews. I can understand your concern. I wrote a whole big reply, but my session timed out before it posted and I am not starting over.

But the gist was...I have sailed on two sold out KSF cruises, and both have been great! As with any situation where thousands of strangers are enjoying each other's company for a week, there are always some who will make others roll their eyes or maybe head in a different direction on sight. But for the most part, the crowds and lines were bearable and in some cases hardly noticeable. The pools WILL be crowded, especially on sea days.

yes that was the place excellent steak fajitas is well we are staying at the Hyatt downtown Houston and yes we will have a car last time was there they had Restaurant Week back in August of last year and we went to Papa brothers steakhouse it was good but I heard that taste of Texas is better and we also went to the original carrabbas and it was really good I was surprised because the karabas we haven't Atlanta Georgia is not the same as original

Taste of Texas is delicious, but far from downtown. For outstanding Mexican food, try the original Ninfa's, a Houston classic. It is on Navigation, not far from downtown. The concierge can tell you how to get there. Definiely not fancy, but really delicious! One of our favorite places!

okay thank you for the restauran tips is that restaurant better than Sylvia's ?

I think so, but you know everyone has their own preferences! I know Sylvia's is very popular. I've only been there once. Sylvia's is known for their enchiladas, where Ninfa's is known for their fajitas. Ninfa's is much closer to downtown, if that makes a difference. Sylvia's is on the far west side of Houston.

I have never been on a Disney cruise before but I have been on a lot of different cruise ships my wife normally packs of portable hamper for dirty laundry also a portable shoe rack that you hang over your door I think the dollar store has them and they are good for storing all your bathroom items alarm clock a power strip more outlets to be plug in case should get seasick you might want to pack some Dramamine non drowsy they do have it on board but the ones that they give out for free normally makes me drowsy bring a highlighter that way you can mark out your activities what you like to do for that day also I heard on the disboards at the drink fountain station to bring your own larger cup they say the 1 on Disney cruise ships are small cups so use Disney cups to fill up your larger cup also bring a lot of candy for the shows and 1 more lasting I forgot to mention very important make sure to have a lot of fun:)
