October 2013 Code Watch?!

Add me to the list. We are heading down Oct 21 - 27 after a weekend at Siesta Key.
We are going to book at Caribbean Beach Resort, but where we finally end up will depend on the promotions for October. Hoping for free dining or a really great room discount.
Excited, it's our daughters first trip to DW (she'll be 3) and the first time the husband or I has spend more than a day there in over a decade.

Is it better to just go ahead and book now if I'm ok paying the current rates but hoping for a discount to sweeten the deal? Looking at 10/5 - 10/12 at CSR, probably business king. Not sure what kind of supply is available on those and don't want to lose it waiting on a discount.

I agree about booking now instead of waiting. Availability can be iffy in the fall at any of the Convention Resorts and CSR is very Popular

at the beginning of planning our late october trip and totally overwhelmed! just found this forum and this thread and was wondering how or where does one go to find our about the pins or FD offers? think i need a TA

No need for a travel agent. Just keep checking these pages often and you will know more than most travel agents. lol

Happy planning.

I am waiting too. I am debating. There are two options. One we could stay at AoA in a LM room, the other we could stay at POFQ. We want the regular dining plan. We are looking at October 11-19. If there is free dining and it is not for values and is only qs then it is cheaper to stay at POFQ and pay the difference to upgrade to the regular dining plan. If there is no free dining offer it is cheaper to stay at AoA. My dilemma......do I book now and hope for a free dining offer, and if I do book now which option do I chose? I am thinking maybe AoA since it books up so fast. What say the Disney pros?

I was pricing out things today and there isn't a standard rack rate room available at either BC or YC for our dates in late October. I realize that it is F&W time, but worried there might not be much discount incentive on Disney's part at this point. I wouldn't book a rack rate room I have no intention of using anyway but it didnt make me feel optimistic. Ugh.

We were at WDW last Oct and they had a FD deal before and after our dates there... some how our dates fell in the between period, dang! But that was all during F&W so maybe there is hope!

I had heard that lately Disney seems to be offering Stay, Play, and Dine. I know nothing about that offer but if we stay at a value, would the savings be as big as FD?

SPD was offered for the first time for early this year. Free dining would save more. However if the FD rumor is correct, it will not be offered at values this year. Again only a RUMOR right now, although it came from a reliable source.

That is the week of Canadian Thanksgiving. It was a black out date in 2012 for FD.

We just moved our trip from May to October so I'm subscribing. Hopeing for some form of FD!

Jumping in here. We are planning for October 26 to November 4th. If we go it will be our longest time at WDW. We are looking at AoA or POR. Again it's all up to what deals they have going on at that time. Hope there are some good deals. We've never been in October/November, always gone in Feb, Mar, or April.

We will be going 10/11-10/14 for our Disney Wedding Planning trip! Excited! Hoping there will be some meal deals, but we're not too concerned since we know one day we're going to be fed by the mouse on the house deciding our reception food. I am looking forward to MNSSHP!

We're taking our first family vacation to WDW. Staying at POP (10/26-11/2). Super excited! Hoping for FD!!

excellent!

We spent our first WDW vacation (2008) at POP and absolutely loved it, our DD (4 at the time) loved that we walted around as we explained all those odd contraptions to her :)

Oh and the pools were great to

enjoy!
:dance3:
