Historically when do they usually announce the free dining for late Aug early Sept? We're booked for then and hoping it comes up.

Anywhere from March to May, so we aren't totally out of luck yet, but given the way the discounts are going this year, I am not holding my breath. It will all depend on how the numbers look in a few months, and given some of the crowd predictions out there, it looks like August may not be so hard to fill this year..

Us too.
We stand to pay THOUSANDS more than before, because my kids are getting older and the lack of free dining (or the continued lessening of free dining).
I know I'm not "entitled" to any discount. It just helps. Here's hoping!

That's scary. Free dining is one of the reasons we can afford to go to WDW in sept.

Unfortunately, if they don't offer it this Sept/Oct. we can not go! We had to cancel our trip last year because my husband got injured on the job (police officer) and had to undergo some major surgeries. So this year we are trying to make up for that but if we don't get free dining, we will have to forfeit till we can save some more.

SOOooo here's to free dining!!! COME ON WDW we miss you!!!

I am also hoping for free dining for our early September trip. It's our 10 year wedding anniversary trip so any little bit we can save would be awesome. And allow us to buy more while down there to bring home for the kids.

I had the PIN for FD Jan-Mar (Feb-Mar? I forget) but our trip isn't until May. We have a PIN for our stay (room-only discount) but a FD PIN would save us about $100 more than our current PIN. Hoping to see one released and applicable to my reservation (AKL).

If it is released it is always all over the Disboards just before it happens. There will be no missing it.

Mouse savers has historical data on sales. Part of October has been blacked out from sales before.
