Like Autumnpalm, we are not going until August. I wish it was sooner. We are going August 17-25, staying club level at the Poly. Would love to report if this is still on. And with that I want to give a great big thank you to Barb! This absolutely is the best thread on the DIS!

Now I really feel bad for saying this, but we've had to cancel our trip due to a sudden family emergency. I'm SO SORRY because I was really looking forward to contributing.



On the plus side, as long as everything works out we're HOPING to only wait until early April, so I may be back (and will never stop reading!)

So sorry to hear about your family emergency and that you had to cancel your trip. I'm sending a large dose of pixie dust your way in hopes that things will all work out for you and your trip can be rescheduled for early April.

Please tell me I am not the only one this Disney food crazy... with this thread being so quiet, I actually spent time tonight looking at photos of Disney food I've taken on past trips!

I know I am not the only one in Disney food withdrawal, so I thought I would share some photos with this thread.

(Don't worry, no points necessary!)

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! oh and THANK YOU! so much Barb for keeping this thread going! I know it is a ton of work. It is so helpful for Disney newbies like myself. We have only been 1 time, this past December, and we didn't even get to World Showcase because my kiddos were feeling a little sick two days of our trip . We hope to go back again this December and can't wait to try some new restaurants...sure is gonna be hard to choose after all these wonderful reviews

Hey Barb - I didn't know whether to voluteer again or not but we will be going back to WDW in March and May. Would love to do live reports again as it was fun. We will be at SSR on March 16th for one night and going to BOG for supper. Then we will be heading out to the Dream for a cruise. Then back to AKL for two nights.

In May we will be heading down May 22-27. With two nights over at Universal. Then heading to BW. This is also our family birthday trip since all of our birthdays are in May. We start with the youngest daughter May 15, oldest daughter May 16, DH's is May 25 and mine is the 26th.

So, if you don't mind, I would love to voluteer again! And as many have mentioned this is my favoritest thread on the DIS. Would hate to see it end.

Sopa Azteca - Traditional tortilla soup, served with fried tortilla strips, avocado, cheese and pasilla pepper


"We all had bowls of their tortilla soup to start. The presentation on these is lovely. Your server brings the bowls of tortilla strips, avocado, and cheese. He then pours the broth over the dry ingredients. He did it so quickly that I couldn't get better shots. Sorry."

Pollo A Las Rajas - grilled chicken breast served with red peppers & onion, cream sauce, poblano rice and queso fresco


"We are very boring and all had the same dish! It was so delicious! Grilled juicy chicken breast sliced on top of poblano rice in a cream sauce with peppers and onions. We cleaned our plates!!"

My wife and I just got back from Disneyworld (Feb 2nd to 9th)and had been posting all my food pictures to my Facebook until my mother decided I needed to have a cardiologist travel with us, I, of course had to unfriend her. Anyway, we have been reading your posts for a while and I would love to send you my pictures from Kona Cafe, Be Our Guest (lunch and dinner), Sunshine Seasons, Contempo Cafe-breakfast(s), The Wave-breakfast, Japan Tokyo Dining, and the bakery in France. "This is the best offering in the shop...in my opinion, and I have sampled many items there. The cookie crust part is so buttery and not very sweet. Perfect counter point to the delicious creamy caramel. The shop was mobbed when I visited today. I cannot believe how crowded the parks are! So sorry, but no display pics."

"Yet another slush. This time a frozen lemonade from the African Outpost. My daughter loves them and will end up having a slush from every location in the World before the trip ends!"
