Love that you planned your stumbling journey home:rotfl2: You are a girl after my own heart:rotfl:

Oh yes, it's very important that I have an easier journey back to my resort than the last time. I was staying at POP Century and left The 'Rolls around 1 a.m. I walked through the resort to the BW bus loop, waited 20 minutes for a DTD bus. Finally got to DTD West Side, and didn't even bother to wait for a POP bus because one from AoA had arrived. So I hopped that one, got to AoA and walked through that resort, across the bridge and through the 50's section to get back to my room, which was all the way at the end of the jukebox building. :faint:

This time I will not make such a rookie mistake. Location, Location, Location!

Logpey :cheer2: I'm excited to hear your TR about the Princess Half and CL experience!! I so badly want to do CL, but unless there is a discount I don't think I can get my DH to agree (although, he is intrigued ;) ) And the Princess Half, I have a good friend who is continually urging me to get my butt running so we can do a fun run like that together, just a girls weekend!! Not to mention it is always very, very close to my birthday (maybe for my 40th)!!

I'll definitely do a trip report. It's sucks because I really need to be running, but since this flu hit, it's knocked me on my keister, so it makes me pretty nervous. CL is great, we've been fortunate to stay the last few vacay's at WDW in CL-- but only because of discounts, I've never paid rack rates ever & I never will.

It makes it much easier for my family to grab breakfast & snacks in the lounge than breakfast out. Also my hubby is a drink ***** & I don't mean alcohol--he's constantly drinking water, soda's, gatorade, plus an occasional spirit, so it actually saves us money. Our family actually spends a lot of time at resort--so it makes since for us, as far as value!!!

You have to do the Princess Half, especially for your 40th. What a great way to remember it & leave the thirties with a bang!!!!!! I'm looking forward to it....hope to hear you've decided to make the leap (run)!!!Take care...

So NYC is supposed to get 6-12 inches of that nasty white stuff... I'm thinking it's better that this is happening now and not in 2 weeks when I'm set to leave for my happy place! I hope anyone who is set to leave for Disney living in the Northeast gets there safely this weekend!!

Goodness, that happened to me last January. Spent the week prior to our trip getting my older son & our daughter over a bad cold. Thought all was well, then the first morning of our vacation I woke up with a horrible sore throat. By the second day, I had lost my voice entirely.

Well, it seems funny now. But it wasn't completely awful. I'd rather be sick in Disney than sick at home. lol

Hope everyone is healthy soon! Fluids, fluids, fluids!!princess:

Hey Mel! Dang girl you get around--twitter, moms panel hopeful DIS, here, just everywhere!!! Did you ever take your girls trip, I guess the one you take every year?

Going on my fourth day now, forcing fluids down. Thankfully kids & hubby are good. Just hoping it stays that way!!!!!

I'm in the northern suburbs of Detroit. We're expecting 3-5 inches tonight. :(
Can't wait to escape to Disney! Only 22 more days!

We know the Detroit area well :rotfl2: My son plays travel hockey and we frequent Detroit and its suburbs just about every other weekend!!! Next weekend, we are in Southgate, the weekend after it's Port Huron and then Trenton over St. Patty's Day weekend for the State Finals!!! We are supposed to get 6-10" ;), however, being along the Lakeshore, it can be hit or miss, so we shall see!!! Although, I wouldn't mind another snow day, but if we do, we may be adding a day to the end of our school year

I was visiting NYC & got trapped by the Blizzard of 96' at the time it was the worst storm in decades, kinda fun though. Went to David Letterman & the whole town was practically shut down, no cars, no cabs, just peeps walking around Manhattan -- playing in the crazy amount of snow!!!

Moved to Shreveport in May of 96 with a little 7 month old and moved back to NJ in Feb of 98 with a two year old and a pair of 11 month olds. Louisiana is fertile territory :)

Good to know about the fertile territory, my husband works for a nuclear power plant (Entergy) up here in MI, and there has been talk about moving to LA in order to move up the ladder. That would be a con for LA :rotfl2:

Yes I remember that storm... I believe it was January. My daughter was having a birthday slumber party! It was the first time they closed the public schools in a very very very long time! We knew her school would be closed but her friends were like they never close the public schools and low and behold they did!!

Hello all! This Kansas girl is starting to feel out numbered :). Although I'm a New Yorker by heart - most all of my family lives there! Thinking about you all with this impending storm, sure sounds like a doozy!! Glad it's this weekend though, we are flying to NY for a wedding next week and definitely don't want to get delayed by snow! Only 105 days till we leave for Disney! It's the longest wait ever! Take care and stay safe everyone!

We live in KS :wave2: My DH is a KSU grad and I'm from Oklahoma so no KU fans here ~ although, we only live 20 miles from Lawrence. One of our sons was briefly a KU fan when the little girl he had a crush on in Sunday School was a Jayhawk fan. Thankfully she moved to FL so we got him over that faze fast! :)

I did. Our girls-only was during Food & Wine last year. :cheer2: So wonderful. I even spent an afternoon alone in Animal Kingdom!! But I was so glad to see my friends! I got an AP, because I knew we would do it again this year. So now, for our spring family trip, my pass is already paid in full. This fall the girls are planning on staying at the GF. My DD is lobbying VERY HARD to go this year. She argues that she is a GIRL so she should be included. lol

As far as my online habits, I am back in school, and most of my course work is done online, so I get little breaks all day long where I can check in with my Disney friends! Lucky me! Though, I do have a slight Disney addiction which is enabled by a high-speed internet connection .. hehe.:surfweb:

We are staying at the BC. It will be our first time at a deluxe. Stayed at the Caribbean beach about 3 years ago, thought it was nice, but not enough room for 3 adults and a kiddo. Surprising DH with club level! Everyone here convinced my it was worth it! How many times have you stayed at BC? What's your favorite part about it?

Hello fellow Midwesterner! That's funny!! :). You are close to Lawrence! My DH was born and raised here so he's a die hard KU fan and would probably be thinking the same thing if our son had a crush on a girl who was a K-state fan!
