I think dannysmom said it that way because that was a very recent topic of conversation, so for those who visit this board often may understand her underlying sarcasm. I don't believe it was meant to be rude, after all the answer to your question was included in her post. This is a very friendly thread, and lets try to keep it that way

Absolutely you may use the pictures - no cropping necessary. When I open the t-shirts up I will post those pictures so you can see the end product - there is supposed to be a Mickey Mouse on the front. I will add others to the room summary view thread later on today.

Blah - first day back to work! DH and I are talking about a BCV stay in August to bring my sister and nephews when they visit from Ireland...we brought them last year and we stayed Kidani but I think they would love SAB so I might have a ticker to start again :cool1:

My second day back at work., I hear ya!! And I do have my Aug trip booked at YC :cheer2:

Can anyone tell me which of the deluxe rooms is closest to the club-level lounge? I know the deluxe rooms aren't on the same floor as the lounge. Do all of the deluxe rooms have the same layout or are some larger than others? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

At the BC: They are all about the same distance away from the elevators that take you to the lounge. All are the same size. Only differences are the patios/balconies. A description of the patio/balcony on each of the rooms is on the first page under BC Deluxe Rooms.

Maybe the ones closer to SAB versus the quiet pool are a tad closer to the elevator.

Changed our dates today to get great deal on Southwest. If you need flights they are having a great sale thru Thursday!

Now we are going 5/9-5/18. I got 2 extra nights out of the deal! :cool1: Had to do that b/c of flight times being late on arrival day and early on departure day. Didn't want to short us any park days. :rolleyes1

Now I need to change my wdw ressie...they were just closing as I booked flights. Looks like we will have to do a standard view CL the first 3 nights or (YC GV) and then we can switch to a BC garden view on the 12th of May for the rest of the trip. Hoping someone will cancel a GV those first few nights at BC so we can do that the whole time.

Off to redo all my dining ressies!

Thanks!:thumbsup2

I don't see any links on the main thread, but does anyone know where I can find pics of views from standard CL rooms? If they are really bad I will save the cash and stay those 3 nights at YC til GV opens up at BC.

Dee created a thread for this! :woohoo:

There is one link there to a YC CL SV stay. The view for that particular room isn't all that bad (at least for my taste).

Hoping to add to it in three months. :cool1:

My sis and I are running the half marathon in 2014 and like the EPCOT area resorts.

Another :welcome: to you!

Let us know if you end up booking at the Yacht or Beach.

:cool1:

Oh thanks for the info-I just booked fro the end of Aug too and got great prices for labor day weekend.I had enough points to cover all 4 of us:goodvibes We cancelled last years trip because we sold our house in like an hour and wound up moving instead of going away!So hopefully we will be going to Beach club for the first time from 8/21-8/31.As long as the house renovation gets finished soon and it stops going over budget so much!:cool1:

:welcome:

Hope all goes well with the work on the house. Sounds like you definitely need a vacation!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

:woohoo:

I hope you get to make your first visit to BC in Aug. We have been there twice and it is our favorite so far! :cool1:

Not sure if you have posted before. :welcome:

:thumbsup2

Hi all! Long time lurker here :-). My family and I are staying BC LV March 1-9. So excited! Can't wait for the kids to experience SAB, and to try a sunken treasure for myself, lol!

Also, I have a question. This past August, dh and I took a kidless trip and stayed at the YC. I've been trying to figure out what kind of room we had, to no avail! Sadly I didn't take a pic. It had a king bed, with a couch, chair, coffee table, and desk, and a wet bar. The sinks were in the bathroom as opposed to the typical layout where they're outside the toilet/shower area. Any guesses? We did try to upgrade to CL at check-in, but were reserved for GV.

Thanks, and I'm excited to be a part of this group!

Official :welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

Still interested in knowing what kind of room you had. Sounds awesome for a couples trip.

:yay:

We changed our schedule just a little we will be arriving on August 23-August 30. The flights were just a little cheaper if we flew out on a Friday.

With the flights booked its a official start to a count down! All of the pictures everyone is posting lately is making me want to start packing now! I am over the moon excited because my sister and her kids are going the same week we are with the same deal. It's their first disney trip.

I am dreaming of me, my mom, & my sister sipping sunken treasure relaxing at the SAB is getting me threw looking out my window to SNOW!

200 days out! ADR's here we come

I'll make the adjustment to your listing.

:goodvibes

ETA: So, you will be at YC and sister and family at BC? Very cool. Close, but not too close.

Slight change of plans for us: We'll be at POR 8/18 - 8/27 and then YC 8/27 - 8/30.

Thank you to all who keep this thread updated and full of laughs!!! :rotfl: It really does help to pass the time.

I'll make the adjustment to your listing.

:goodvibes

Oh Yea Baby!!:cool1:
I Did It!!
BC, Lagoon view, October 26-Nov 2
My kids are going to be so excited!:cheer2:
We will be there for Mnsshp and food and wine!!

And I requested a large balcony. I just read the advice about requesting a room near the lobby to also be closer to SAB and the bus stop.

Can I do both requests? I am not familiar with the layout of this resort at all. And thats a little anxiety provoking for me LOL!
Where is the walkway to Epcot located in proximity to the lobby/SAB area?
Thanks everybody!!
annabug

:jumping1:

Glad you are officially booked! What a great time of year to go.

I'll add you to the list.

You can do both requests, although you should emphasize your most important request.

"Full balcony, please. If possible, close to lobby"

That way, the room assigner knows what is most important to you.

You can access the pathway to EPCOT by going out the back door of the lobby. Then bang a left before you walk into the lake, and keep going. Just follow the path.

:woohoo:

Exactly Dawn!

:welcome: Amy!

Let us know if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

Who is your "target audience", lol? I counted (1) breakfast, (3) lunches, (7) dinners. Is that what you were planning? Are you dining plan or oop? Character meals? I take a piece of paper a write it out as a calendar for a visual to see where you would be when, and in relation to what park, to see what meal should be where. Nothing's worse then having to trek from one world to the next in a short period of time. I think misjudging travel time is one of the worst mistakes we made as first-timers.

Yes I have free dining plan for 11 nights :) I've booked in 2012, april in WDW Uk like I'm french and dining plan was free !

Your dining plans sound excellent!

Have you made your reservations? I hope you get what you want. Good luck.

Are you calling or booking online? Do you have to call for the Fantasmic package?

BC?

Here is a link with the info we have about the Deluxe Rooms at the Beach Club.

Beach Club Deluxe, Suites, VP and Presidential Rooms

Room Numbers: I hesitantly post this link. Please use the map with caution as it is outdated, pre resort rehab. The view categories are also different. When this map was created, there were only standard view rooms and water view rooms (no garden view), so many of these rooms now have a different view category than what is indicated on this map.

Note: the map was made before there was a club level lounge at the BC- the lounge is now located on the 5th Floor, near the elevators, where it says ICE.

You guys have been keeping me really busy lately!!!

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.

Please take a moment to look at the Be Our Guest list to make sure your information is listed correctly.

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

Thanks!

Beach Club Resort CL, I requested Epcot fireworks room view, What do y'all think?:flower3:

Sounds good!

What view category have you booked? I know there are rooms in both BC CL SV and BC CL GV that have some views of Illuminations.

Please let us know after your trip if your request was granted.

We are booked the lat week of May 5/24-6/1 so DD13 will be out of school. There are a few 4s on the crowd calendar but also some 6s, 8s, 10. Yikes! So I was worried about crowds and also not being able to get a decent price on airfare. Thinking of switching to 10-18 or 11-19. However only lagoon view is available. Not paying extra $700! So we can either switch to YC or do the 11th in a lagoon view, check out and then do the 12-19 in a garden view. Would that be pretty seamless to switch rooms? I don't want it eating into our vacation time. Would it be better to stay at YC the whole time? For some reason YC isn't as exciting for me.

I know right now you are booked at BC, with a switch in view categories during the trip. I think it would be fairly easy to switch rooms, especially if you haven't unpacked much in the first part of your trip.

MickeyT had a trip where he switched from BC to YC and he has said it wasn't bad at all.

But keep looking to see if there are cancellations so you can be booked in the same room for the whole trip.

I think you all have seriously invaded my brain. While drinking coffee this morning, I got extremely excited when Captain Hook mentioned "Sunken Treasure"
92 days until we are experiencing BC for the first time!

At the risk of reopening a a storm that has already blown over, I wanted to apologize to logpey. I am sorry that you took offense to my post, no malice or offense was intended. PPs were correct in that I phrased my answer as I did, because I found Dee's reply funny.

It is a quick moving thread, we ALL miss things from time to time. I am truly sorry if you felt picked on. :flower

Thanks also to the mods, for making sure we play nice.

I get what I want, just a few minutes different 10 or 20 minutes :)
I'm so happy ! :cheer2:

Knowing Dannysmom from this and another board I can vouch for her as well. It was definitely meant to be funny.

And BTW I never realized you were from Central NJ? Me too!
