Has anyone stayed at a 1bdrm at the villas lately? We are going in April, and havent been to the VWL in a few years and I heard it is outdated? Also, any suggestions for room requests?

Had to change my dates due to airfare. We are now going September 15-21. Losing a day but saving $$$$ that can go towards something else while we are there!!

i'm getting ready to book at the wilderness lodge. I am booking a standard room, is there an area that has some what of a good view that I can request? Would I be able to see any fireworks from MK from this view? Or should I try Woodlands? Any input would be great :) thanks!

Hi! I just saw the video that featured the Deluxe Room. I did not see a ceiling fan. That is one of the reasons I talked my husband to this resort/room. I looked on the Disney Website and it still lists a ceiling fan, but I didn't see one in the video. It had a light fixture there! Oh nooooo!!!
Can anyone confirm since the rehab?

Just renting points and are choosing between Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom lodge studios ... I have stayed at the Animal Kingdom lodge but never at Wilderness Lodge . Is this a good resort for Adults ? We are 4 adults and looked into Beach Club and Boardwalk but both are book for our time in November ... Any suggestions from those that have stayed at Wilderness Lodge ?? Thanks

You know that both of these studios have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa, right? I wouldn't want four adults in one studio unless it was maybe OKW for a very short time. OKW is the only studio with two queen beds.

Yes but two of our adults are young like 23 and 25 they could sleep on a rock and be happy !! We are not in the room much anyway and it the sleper sofa is anything like the ones in ASMU Suites then I am sure they will be fine ... We are only there for 4 nights and will be out most of the time it really is only to sleep and shower the only reason to rent points is because it is $1000 cheaper then going through Disney themselves :thumbsup2

Love the lodge and so does my DH and my parents ...nice all around and nice dining ...love it.

Please check out post #2 of this thread for detailed descriptions, and pictures, of the different bookable room categories and their views.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room in December... no ceiling fan in ours.

Not good. I e-mailed the IPO and they said they called the front desk to confirm that all rooms have ceiling fans. That's strange they would tell me that.

This is a pre-rehab photo (4/12) from the Deluxe room link in Post #2 of a Deluxe room ceiling fan, by elaw:

I can't imagine they removed all the ceiling fans post-rehab, so I'm sure you'll have one above the two queens.

I hope that is correct. The IPO confirmed with the front desk that all the rooms do. But the recent video that featured the deluxe room I did not see one. Sooooo confused!

So this is kind of an odd question. We're booked in a deluxe room at WL Dec 29-Jan 10. 4 adults (mom, dad, grandma and great-aunt), 2 kids.
What's storage like in these rooms? I hate digging through suitcases every day on vacation.

In the photo on the previous page they show a dresser. With layers you'll need that time of year it may not hold all of your clothes but it's probably good for a few things. Are you flying or driving? If you drive one option may be to bring your own rolling rack. You can buy them at WalMart/KMart/Target for about $30 and unassembled they take up little space.

That's a great idea. We are driving so that will probably work nicely. Thanks!

I confirmed with the IPO (for the second time) and they said that the Deluxe Rooms do have fans. I told them I saw a recent pic of the deluxe room and it did not have one. I hope they are right. My husband wanted to stay at the Cabins due to cost and was I able to talk him into Wilderness Lodge Deluxe room one of the main reasons being the stupid fan! He will not be happy if he spent thousands more on a room when they told us they have them.
