Morning Dads! Been a busy weekend so far. DD15's birthday was yesterday (looks like she is in good company with Crash) and somehow it has been stretched I to a three day event. She had a sleepover Friday night, we went to see the Hobbit last night, and her grandparents are coming up today to take her for a Birthday dinner.

Hope everyone has a great day. I know that I will, I'll be having steak later.

Congrats on getting kicked out? Never did that. I didn't do it the whole time, but just a few reminders. I am just too competitive.

Never been kicked out of a game but there were many times when I was coaching volleyball I would try to take a yellow card. Sometimes the refs just wouldn't help but a few did.

Two wins for DS and his basketball team today. 37-31 in the first game and 39-31 in the second. Good wins but I really wish their coach would actually teach them some type of offensive system. They are winning games because of their athletic ability and losing to teams because they don't have a good system to handle a press or know what to do in the front court. DS and another of the returnees work together well but they could all be so much better with just some type of basic offense.

DS did well today, 13 points, 5 blocks, 15 rebounds and a half dozen assists. Another game tomorrow but this time with his middle school team.

DS is one of their returning players although they have a new coach this year. He is in his first year and has done a good job teaching some of the less experienced kids but it is time for the next step. I told DS he should ask if they could work on a basic motion offense but the coach told him it was too advanced. OK but they need to learn something because this is not Rec Ball. It is getting really frustrating to watch all five players stay in the backcourt asking for the ball from the guy inbounding the ball. DS is frustrated by some of the players but it isn't really their fault because they don't know any better.
