I'd love to stay at BLT. We are going with another family so had to get a 2 bedroom and couldn't afford the points for BLT this trip. The convenience of the monorail must be awesome! Yes I love that we get Mardi Gras vacation....means that we get to go before all the spring break and Easter people go. LOL

We are also going to go in June but staying at Fort Wilderness and not on points. My husband loves the campground so we compromise.

Are y'all leaving for Disney on the Friday afternoon?

BLT is great for the convenience but the points are a bit on the pricy side. We are only in a 1 bedroom and managed to snag a standard view so it wasn't too bad.

I have tried talking my wife into the cabins but have yet to stay there.

We are having the "leave on Friday" discussion right now. It been ongoing for about a week. It's either leave on Friday and get a room at around 2 am to rest for a bit or leave in the middle of the night to be there on Saturday mid morning. I don't care either way.

For those of you ordering"stuff" to be delivered to the resort...where are you ordering from and how long before your arrival date do you plan to order???

I had ordered a case of bottled water from Costco for a previous trip, but that was 5 years ago and i don't remember any of the details!

25 days!!!

We usually leave on Friday and stop around Tallahassee for the night. We are going to try to pull out of here around 2pm so we can make it to Tallahassee at a decent time. Hoping to be at Disney around lunch so I will have them up and at it early Saturday morning. I don't like to waste any "Disney Time"!

Fort Wilderness is great and really is one of our favorite places to stay. We have a motorhome so we stay at one of the campsites and have never stayed in a cabin. We love The Fort for the down time. On those trips we typically spend just the mornings and lunch at the parks and then spend the afternoons and evenings at the campground. They have so much to do for kids and it really feels like a different kind of Disney vacation. My husband could go to The Fort and never even go to the parks...he loves it that much. LOL

I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something different and if you do please please schedule time to just hang and enjoy the campground.

Mickey Mail!!!!:banana: AND 30 days until we check in at POP!!!!:banana::banana:

Unlike most of the pp's, time is flying by for me. DD's wedding reception is on Feb 2nd., so my hands are busy and mind is full. We (meaning me) are doing a lot of the work ourselves from invitations to hosting out-of-towners to catering. After that, only one week to decompress and prepare until we crash the Disneymoon!!! :cool1:

I'm actually curious about this myself. Last time we had stuff delivered, but I didn't order until the day before we left. This time I'd like to order before we leave and hopefully have it the day we check in. The only issue is we are checking in on a Saturday.

Does anyone know if I have a package delivered on Friday, the day before we check in, will they hold it for us until we check in on Saturday? It will mostly be water/snacks, but there's also some diabetic supplies for my daughter that I'd rather ship than haul down there.

Final payment made this morning...45 days to go!!!!

I can't wait for some warm weather ;)

I'm a bit upset because it's only about -6c here today and the forecast looks like its not owing to be getting much colder.
I wanted it to get down to around -20 when we leave (4 weeks today! :yay:) so I could laugh at my family and friends while walking around in t-shirts!! :lmao:

Paid in full today!!! So nice to see the 0 balance! Now the hardest part...just waiting.....

Anyone With Be our guest reservations between Feb 27th and March 9th? I have one on the 27th, I need one though the 28th to March 9th. Mine is for 6, but now only have 4 coming if someone is interested in trading we can have three way call with wdwdine representive. Let me know.

Thanks,
Bruce

Yes I keep thinking the same thing as I watch the temp rise (it's +5 here and hitting double digits this weekend).

I can't stop checking this site to see if anyone has posted other ideas or tips. I don't even know what I am looking for at this point but I keep checking due to my excitement.

What types of snacks do you pack for the park?

I had to come over here to get away from the controversial threads about fp's and leaving 12 year olds alone :rotfl:. At least everyone is happy here :goodvibes.

When its hot, we all bring a water bottle in with us - it sort of forces everyone to hydrate just to get rid of the bottle! But it probably won't be that hot. Its been so long since I've had to bring snacks with us since we're usually on the free dp. I'll have my 11 year old with me, so we'll probably bring a few things. Maybe pretzel sticks, trail mix? He is still willing to wear a fanny pack (at least he says he is), so I'll probably give him the option of carrying some snacks. He's not my biggest eater, so we may not need anything extra. I"m still trying to figure it all out!

We are bringing some of our boy's favourite snack packs - Oreo Thinsations, granola bars and nutrigrains. They will be more for keeping them happy if there are any big lines than to fill them.
We will also have our Brita sport bottles, we never leave the house without them!

i am getting so antsy!! i just walked to the mailbox (i have one of those stupid super-mailboxes) because i was SURE my mickey mail would be here by now. but no, it's not!! :( i am 23 days away, where is my mail?! what if it never comes?! i'm so bummed out!!

Has anyone ever been the last week of Feb.? The crowd levels don't look bad, but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this week?

Well, I just ended the debate. I booked a room in the WDW area for friday so we can check in that night (probably around midnight) to get some sleep before all the fun begins. My two options were: 1. Start driving around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning to arrive around 10 am Saturday or 2. Start driving ASAP after my wife and children get out of school (around 3 or 4 pm) and pay for a cheap hotel room that we will check into around 12 to 1 am. I found a 2 bedroom suite for $110 (which will be split) southwest of WDW property so I couldn't pass it up! I am the only one to drive so this is the better option for me (less sleep deprived). We have DTD planned for that Saturday so there is no huge rush Saturday morning, unless I pull a game-changer and add a day to our tickets which is only another $50 total.

Tallahassee is our half way mark (we have an 8.5 hour drive) so you should be good without having to wake everyone up with the roosters.

We will definitely have to try it one day. It sounds great!
