Hey everyone Welcome to my very first PTR. I hope I do ok and you will enjoy reading my plans for what I hope is the most memorable first trip for my two lil guys!
I am starting to get very excited. I will have a lot of free time this month because I am using up left over vacation time that has to be used so I'm not working too much, so I thought what better way to pass the time than try out a PTR. Hopefully this will give me enough practice that I will be able to write an awesome TR when we get back. I love reading them and think I will love writing one of my own. I may not be the best writer but I will try my best to entertain you, and you can help me make the days until we get to the magic go by that much faster!
So here it goes
I guess we should start with some introductions.
That's me in the middle with my two guys. My name is Laura. Big Disney fan and am trying to pass on my love of Disney to my boys. I seem to be doing a pretty good job of it so far This will be my 5th trip to WDW 3 of those were when I was a little girl with my parents the first one when I was 5 years old. That fact makes this trip that much more special for me, my boys are 4 and almost 6 (will be 6 when we get there) so they get to experience it for their first time at just about the same age that I did. Let me just tell you I remember that trip, not all of it but certain big moments from it, so I can't wait for them to make the same kind of memories and experience all the magic for themselves.
Next up we have Jacob.....
He is 5 years old, about to be 6 here at the end of this month. He is an awesome big brother and just an all around happy, funny little kid. He is really into Star Wars and Avengers right now and cannot wait to ride the Star wars ride. He's a big dare devil and we have been watching some shows on Netflix about WDW and he can't wait to ride all the roller coasters especially EE.
Then there's my baby Dylan
He is 4 years old. Super awesome lovable little boy who laughs a lot, especially at his big brother. He was diagnosed as being mildly autistic when he turned 3 and has been in school ever since. It has done wonders with his development and went from being practically non verbal to being able to talk and tell us what he wants and needs. This makes me a little bit nervous about how he will do at the parks, he can burn out pretty quick. But I am sure he will be fine and I know he will love it he can't stop talking about it already. Everyday he asks me "mom can we go Disneyworld in february?". He too has been watching the shows with us and says he wants to ride everything. He is now really into star wars too like big bro so that's is what he says he wants to do the most.
Up next we have Grandmawwww and Grandpawwww (long story as to why the boys draw out the mawww and pawww but it stuck and it's super cute when they say it)
Karen and Rick are their names or mom and dad as I call them, they are the reason surprisingly that we are going to the world. They wanted to go on a vacation with the boys and I just assumed it would be somewhere warm and tropical because that is what they like to do.I've brought up WDW but always been vetoed so this time I didn't even bother . First they said a cruise but then my Dad got it in his head that he wanted to do something extra special with the boys and decided WDW. They don't live in Vegas where we live, theyre in CA so they don't see the boys as much as they would like, so my dad wanted to do something that was just focused on having fun with them. This took a lot of convincing for my mom to get on board but she did. So this will be their 4th trip. However the last time they went was when I was like 8 years old so things have totally changed and it will be like new to them.
One side note that I should mention is that we are all DLR veterans, we were pass holders up until a year ago when they raised the prices and I had to start paying for Dylan so it was just more than I could afford. My parents only live about 25 minutes away from there so we would go at least 4 times a year. The boys love it there so much and have been bummed that we haven't been back in a while. My parents act like their not crazy about Disney but I know a few times that they took their passes and went to DLR for dinner and a couple rides even when the grand kids weren't there so they don't fool me and I am sure they will have a blast on this trip.
I suppose that I will end here for now and in the next update we will talk about the when and where we are staying part
Hope you join me
