The last couple times I've eaten there it hasn't been very good either. The worst part has always been the service, though.

I've noticed a decline in food everywhere (even the signatures) and it came when the dining plan began being offered to the masses. Back in those days, it was very expensive to get a "Resort Magic Plan" with the dining.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but glad that you are ok!

Glad to find others that have made the same observations regarding dining plan. We don't care for it, hubby and I had it again last visit as FD was the only discount available for our dates. Hate feeling forced to eat. Biggest change I've noticed has been food quality. The beef and seafood seem to gave suffered the most. Portion sizes used to e huge at Nine Dragons, you received a platter of entree and a big bowl of rice, easily shareable. Now you et a scoop of entree and a scoop of rice for more money.

Package rates are released normally every year in August for the following year. The last two years they have released them about six to eight weeks earlier.

You can book a room only ressie up to 499 days in advance at the highest rack rate for that season. When the package rates are released, they will adjust the rate on your ressie. You can leave it as room only or convert it to a package at that time.

This is especially helpful when you are booking the cruise package with a parks package before or after the cruise, like I am doing this year.

I just looked at the calendar for 2015 and Easter is April 5th, which is good for you. We are trying to plan a trip down this March for our kids spring break 3/23-3/31 but Easter is on 3/31 so we might have to shave a few days off the trip.

Funny story!!!

I decided yesterday would be a good day to tell the kids about WDW. I knew they only had one week of school left and I figured their teachers would need the weekend to put together all their make-up work packets and stuff. So I wrapped up a box with copies of their plane tickets and the WDW reservation. We gave it to them right before they went to bed last night and when they opened it they both immediately said in unison... "MOM, we already knew we were going!!!!"

I thought I had done such a good job keeping it a secret!!!!!!! But apparently they had already seen info around my desk and on my computer and overheard me talking about it to DH on the phone. So my plan to surprise them was an epic fail!!!!!!

Aren't teenagers GREAT????????????

I know what you mean! We still don't know 100% that we're going, still no January schedule from the new ER and we still don't have the check from old one,so nothing is definite. Then our band is trying to convince our older daughter to come with them and march at Outback Bowl with her sister. Always something.

Already lost power once for about a half hour, hopefully that doesn't happen again. I hope those of you to the north are safe and warm! It's crazy how we went from temps in the 60's to below zero in the same week!

I'm ready to pack my suitcase! Only 17 days left to go!!!

Anybody in WDW right now or leaving soon? Would love to hear some resort holiday reports.

I need to get excited but still having a hard time for some reason. It'll be 11 years Christmas Eve since my Mom passed, I guess that's it. Tried to upgrade to savannah view only to find that there is ZERO availability at ANY deluxe resort! Really starting to get scared now!

You arrive in 12 days? So New Years day? That's when we usually fly in but this year we aren't because the marathons are later. Don't be scared, I'm sure you will have an amazing trip! Keep checking on that Savannah view, and definitely ask again at check-in. Things are changing all the time, especially around the 6 day mark when people have to cancel their room only reservations. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to you! We let Kelly's friend know this afternoon, had a blast with that. I did the note from Santa and included a luggage tag. Starting to get a little more excited, good thing as its like one week now!

Now that Christmas is under my belt I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!! Every year I say I'm not going to stress myself out with all the shopping, wrapping, cooking, etc, but I always do it anyway. Now I have less than 2 weeks to get ready for WDW, which is really going to fly by!!! We watched the Christmas Parade today and also I got my D23 calendar in the mail (must have come yesterday but never heard the doorbell ring) ... so I'm feeling extra pixie dust and magic tonight!

Trying not to feel bummed the theme pool at the BW will be closed while we are there. I know the weather will be cooler but my boys like to swim. I thought I was so smart to book BWI since there is construction at the GF and Poly but now I guess I wasn't so smart after all! For us it isn't a huge deal I guess, since we go down there all the time, but if this was a once a year or once ever few years trip I would be mad! I can't believe only 10 days notice to guests.

I just stumbled on this thread and just had to drop by to say hi and that I really CAN"T (sorry for the shouting) believe that Disney did NOT choose you for the Mom's panel! What are they thinking?? I have not read the entire thread yet, but wow.
I've read your trip reports and followed you a bit since I saw you on the Travel Channel show a few years back. If anyone deserves a permanent place on the Mom's panel, it's you!

You are so sweet!!!! Thank you!!! That was pretty much the reaction from every human being I know when I told them they didn't pick me. Apparently I am only one of many crazy obsessed Disney fans out there. At first I was really sad and depressed about it, but now I realize I can help just as many people here on the DIS (if not more!) than I would have helped on the Mom's Panel. So I'm happy here in my DisHome.
