I've noticed a decline in food everywhere (even the signatures) and it came when the dining plan began being offered to the masses. Back in those days, it was very expensive to get a "Resort Magic Plan" with the dining.

Glad to find others that have made the same observations regarding dining plan. We don't care for it, hubby and I had it again last visit as FD was the only discount available for our dates. Hate feeling forced to eat. Biggest change I've noticed has been food quality. The beef and seafood seem to gave suffered the most. Portion sizes used to e huge at Nine Dragons, you received a platter of entree and a big bowl of rice, easily shareable. Now you et a scoop of entree and a scoop of rice for more money.
