OK....Was reading through the headlines and we have a new Jerk of the day in Indiana. No, not you this time.:lmao::lmao: A girls high school team in Indiana ran the score up to 107-2. Really? The winning coach said he didn't want to stop scoring because it would embarass the other team. I guess hanging 107 points and winning by 105 isn't embarassing. The guy should lose his job immediately and they should bring in someone with respect for not only the his opponents, but the game of basketball.

OK, off soap box.

I've met a few coaches like this guy in the past. You usually find they are coaching for the glory they think it brings them and not for the kids. These guys need to be run out of coaching.

Wow. That wins some sort of award for boneheadedness.

Any of you guys see this working Dragon that Disney built to fly around the castle during the Fantasyland opening? Amazing!

Bumping this to the top of the page because it was so awesome!

Morning all…

Was feeling a might blue this AM…
But the first thing I saw over here was this:

BACON.gif

That helped considerable.
Thanks Randall.

I see I'm not even in the top 10 this thread but no post padding or I will hit the 2 K mark and have to come up with something profound to say.

“Pull my finger” seem to draw the most accolades around here

How much more profound does one need to be?
:lmao:

Yikes! No where near the top 10 the last couple of threads! :scared1: Work and parenting is really getting in the way of my posting!!

That seems to be a common problem amongst the member these days.

Self included :wave2:

Can you tell that I'm avoiding writing a paper this morning? 2500 words on changes in billing for 2013. Even I don't want to read it and I'm writing the #$^%( thing!

Wow I'll have to remember this basketball thing the next time you guys talk about a football game that ends at 43-0 (think it was a Jets game) and see if you say the same things:rotfl2::confused3

For our adoption fundraiser, I am very happy to say a Disdad was the first person to buy one of our bracelets :cool1: I shared that info with my wife's family over the weekend. They have not been real supportive of our decision to adopt. They were a little embarrassed when I showed them all the well wishes you guys and others have left, but not a single note or call from them.

Congrats... and I can tell there is a bit of itterness and resentment towards the family that cuts a little deeper than just an observation.

I am confident when they meet there new grandchild, it'll all change.

Best of luck to you both.

Yeah, that's a big story around here. :rotfl2::rotfl:

I don't know if you saw it or not, but I've seen comments from the Arlington coach and I have to say she is a total class act as opposed to the Bloomington South coach. We all know that Bloomington is known for class and sportsmanship anyway. :rolleyes1

Truthfully, you have one of the larger schools in the state with a historically great basketball program going all the way from Bloomington to Indianapolis to play a small school. It doesn't even make any sense why these 2 schools would even be playing each other, but they did.

Here's a link to an Indy star article talking a little bit about it.

We had a high school coach that did things like that around here a few years ago. He coached at a high school that had close to 4000 students at the time, it was the only high school in the city. They ran off something like 130 straight games without a loss but built that record by playing a lot of small schools that were one or two classes below them. But to many he was a fantastic coach and a hero in some circles. He would even have his team practice on Christmas Day!

Morning gentlemen. Nothing new or exciting going on around here. My dad questioned my sanity last night when I told him I was thinking of taking the kids downhill skiing. The sad part is, I agreed with him. Guess I've got the itch to ski real bad when a hill whose longest run is 300 yard looks good. :(

Good morning all :thumbsup2. I am traveling up north again today, but at least there is no snow in the forecast. It can get a little crazy around the lakes.

Anyway, one more shameless plug (I promise not to always mention this stuff here), but we are doing custom hand made bead bracelets to raise money for our adoption. We can do custom colors such as college or high school colors. So Kentucky, Purdue, Michigan, Maryland, Georgetown, Wisconsin, Florida, Marshall fans show your colors! :) If anyone is interested let me know.

Can you post the link again, David? I've been not keeping up on-line lately...

Saw that at the other site... very very cool

I can only hope this isn't just a one time thing. It is pretty amazing!

LOL! Sounds like you've been to our local mountain, Sundown. Vertical elevation? 1600 feet!

Unfortuantley it sounds like it may be a one time thing...

Apparently they did something similar when F! first opened up in Disneyland....

That's a bummer. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to for just one night. I saw on-line the testing of this about a year ago.

He had an opportunity to show some class and teach these girls a greater life lesson, but he chose poorly in this case.

Sorry for the rant, I just hold the institution that is family in very high regard. When it hurts my wife I get defensive.
