Aw, Katie! So good to see you. I miss your posts, but I know you are loving life with your new man, so no one can fault you for that.
Are you at all interested in going to the beach on Saturday? I'm not going into the parks either... Just let me know.

Love...ain't it grand . In reality my teens are the ones making me super busy. So any extra time I have is spent on Cliff so he doesn't feel neglected LOL. Sleep is an old friend that I miss and coffee is my new best friend. If I get 6 hours of sleep a night, I'm thrilled!! So if anyone needs someone to talk to at ungodly hours of the night/morning, you can text or call. More than likely I'll be up .

I'm for sure going to the beach as long as others are still going . I just looked at the meal list and there is nothing for me to sign up for. Can you put me under Carathay Circle as tentative? I'm going to try and make it into the parks for the scavy hunt day & if I do, I'd like to eat at Carathay.

Well, I think I take after my dad's side of the family, but he left when I was a baby. It's actually my step-dad that's coming out, but I just call him dad. Anyway, there is a photo of my mom and step-dad on Facebook from over the summer. If you want to see it, go to my page, then to my photos, click on albums, and it's the one entitled: Michigan Vacation (Day 8 - 12) August 2012. They are in one of the first few photos to come up.

Going to Solvang tomorrow. It's all decorated for Christmas. I'm just hoping it won't rain. Can't wait to get some of those Danish cookies and pastries.

Hello ladies!

A quick reminder: If you are participating in the stocking exchange, please make sure to send your package out tomorrow. We have a few who've mailed already, but there are still 20 packages to be sent. Don't forget and leave your person waiting!

Mine is sent well the first package, I am also sending a snail mail package of extra's beyond the requirement. Wanted to make sure the stocking requirement got there on time and to cut down on shipping costs. So the snail mail may not get there on time but it is no big deal

I added you down for Carthay Circle. I'd rather over estimate than under. It's harder to add people later, but if you end up not going it's not that big of a deal.
Hopefully some others are still interested in the beach. I think it would be fun to go, especially with some of the locals who don't mind missing out on a park day. But, I guess we'll see.

So, Trudi, you've never flown, ever? I used to fly all the time. I grew up in SoCal but my family was all back in MI so we used to make that flight often to visit. Flying never bothered me. It wasn't until my last flight that had horrible turbulence that I vowed never to fly again. That was 6 years ago. I cannot believe I am going to get on a plane again.

I have flown, the last time was in 1981 to IL. Before that just a couple times to Sacramento. First flight was when I was around 3 to Catalina. Small 8 passenger plane and I don't remember it at all. After 1981 I never had a reason to fly and then I'd hear the horror stories through the years and I just had no desire to ever fly again. The very idea frightens me to no end!
I can understand why you don't want anything to calm your nerves. Better to be fully alert.

Good morning ladies!

This morning for once is a little more laid back. I like that.
In a bit, I am going to one of those home parties, where several ladies sell what they are making for the holidays. My best friend's DD makes those adorable head bands for babies on up to adults. She sells her stuff on Etsy. Another lady blings up anything she can find and sells. Forgot what else, but I am going to support best friends DD.

Did some more glittering this morning on pink tees. Tonight and tomorrow, will add the rhinestones.

There is a slight possibility that Dave and I might go to DL on Christmas day. This year for Christmas is an off year with my children. They will be going to their in-laws for celebration. So with Kaitlyn in Australia, it is going to be super quiet. Asked Dave this morning, and he seemed Ok with it. The festive atmosphere would help keep my mind off of Kaitlyn, who I miss terribly. Not even sure if there would be any place to stay, but I might give it a whirl. I've never been on Christmas day. I've been the day after, and on New Years which is an absolute nightmare, but never on the 25th. Anybody been? Where could we get a good old fashion meal?

Now I need to go back, and figure out the meal plans.

Thanks, Mel. In the original hunt sign up post it was mentioned to either post here or PM, so that's why I reiterated that. But, I agree, since Katie is always so busy, PMing her is best. I'll go back and change my post to reflect that.

I booked our flights for Kim and me this morning for the Diva trip so it is official. We will be coming in Thurs and leaving on Sunday. Yeh!

Melody, I am sorry you are missing Kaitlyn so much. I was just wondering how she was doing the other day. I think you and Dave going to DL on Christmas is a great idea. Even if it's crowded, it would be fun. You could always hang out and people watch.

Beth is there going to be a list of flight arrivals and departures. Mom booked our flights this week and we are getting in Thurs morning and leaving on the 2nd to last flight on Sunday. So if anyone wants to share a cab that would be great.

It will just be mom and I as Shane and the girls are driving.

Mel I like your idea about going and getting out of the house. I am sure it is tough not having Kaitlyn or your other kiddos. If you go have a blast!

Is that the one next to Desert Inn? If so, I stayed there this past summer. It was fine. I've had no real complaints with any of the places across the street from the park. I've stayed at both the BWs, Carousel, HoJo and Desert Inn. They were all acceptable. I stayed at the Quality Inn back behind Mimi's (across the street from the back side of HoJo) and the bed there was miserably firm. For the extra walk past HoJo's, it's not worth it unless you can score the $69 rate there.

I am home. I am tired. I brought home a cold. Bleh. I am finishing up my stocking today to be sent out tomorrow - all the shopping is done, I just need to put it together and package it up. I will look over the sign up info when I'm more likely to comprehend it all. LOL I did send my PM to Katie.

Beth, I don't know if that's me that you have down for WIWF, but if it is, go ahead and take me off that list. And if that's not me on the Fantasmic List, please add me. Maybe we should list me as LisaCat since we have at least two Lisas on this trip?

After I get my stocking package all done, the next item on the list is my PhotoPass. We won't even discuss that I haven't started doing ANYTHING for Christmas yet..... no cards made, no shopping, no decorating. EEK!
