I plan on eating there again next time I visit. I've been 3 times, liked every meal I had and love the atmosphere.
I'm planing my dinninng for september 2013 and i was thinking about eatting at Tony's and then i read that dinners have hated the place. Could i just have an honest thought about it. Besides i love Lady and the tramp movie.

This. That's why I don't follow the opinions of other people. There are people here who are extremely picky, or food snobs.Try for yourself and go from there.Try it once for yourself and don't rely on opinions of others on here.. We almost didn't go because of reviews, but my son loved it and my wife and I enjoyed it too. I thought the flat bread was excellent..

my honest thought is open some ragu spaghetti sauce, pour it over badly cooked noodles and serve luck warm. That's Tony's..
It is the only time in my kids entire life that they thought pasta was nasty and refused to eat it.
In all seriousness, I'd starve before eating here again.
What you thought we were dishonest when we say it's horrible?
If you like the atmosphere, go in, take some pictures and then eat else where.

I like reviews, but I take them with a grain of salt. sure you will get the proverbial person who is a foodie but imo when you 7 out of 10 folks saying avoid it like the plague. Well I can't believe that many people are food snobs.
I mean think about the title of this thread. LOL. Tony's has now gotten such a terrible reputation (deservedly so imo) that it's becoming a punch line on a message board. That's pretty bad...

I felt like it was basically cafeteria/food court level "steam table" Italian, akin to a mall Sbarro's. Do I think it's "good?" No. But I like the location, it's not constantly jammed, I like Tramp, and it's the only L&T thing in the park. Happy tripping!

Heck, you could even grab counter service at ASMR and eat under the Tramp statue!

is a food snob someone who likes good food and doesn't like bad food? if so, i'm definitely one. if not, what is it?
I also think there's a tendency of people to pile on though here on the DIS. Maybe they aren't all food snobs but they're just picky and easily swayed by the opinions of others. Meaning, it's the popular thing to say Tony's sucks.LOL. or a 3rd reason. It's bad food.

True, but your first statement applies to pretty much every restaurant on Disney property. I can get any kind of food cheaper and better quality at home. Seafood, Chinese, steak etc.Tony's has the kind of Italian food anybody could make at home in the microwave for astronomical Disney theme park prices. It's nothing new, nothing different and nothing special (food-wise).
If you're on the free dining or you just like the idea of eating there, or you're looking for stuff the kids might eat without complaining, go for it. But don't expect great food. It's okay not to expect great food...but you are going to be disappointed if you do.
Nope, don't think you're necessarily a food snob. I do think that you fail to realize that the whole "good food/ bad food" thing is subjective, and that not everyone will agree with you. And maybe you're one of those picky eaters- which is OK too. A little narrow of a way to live your life, but OK.Lol. No kidding. I was thinking the same thing. Because I dont like bad/gross food, im considered a food snob?
Wow. Ok. We get it. You love Tonys.Nope, don't think you're necessarily a food snob. Again, im speechless. Thats YOUR opinion.True, but your first statement applies to pretty much every restaurant on Disney property. I can get any kind of food cheaper and better quality at home. Seafood, Chinese, steak etc.
But, the quality of food at WDW is still above what you will find at most theme/ amusement parks and the prices are competitive too compared to other parks.
