holiday time @ DL tour

I'd love to do this tour (especially now I know it includes some of DCA!), and I was wondering if they are available Dec 31? Would this be a good way to use up time on a crazy busy day without worry about crowds? I know New Years Eve is always insane, and this way we could see HMH, iasw and the parade. It will be our first day in the parks this trip, and our first for the holidays so I think it would be a perfect beginning! Thoughts??

I am so excited! Adding DCA is even MORE amazing!
Can't wait until Dec 1!!

I am surprising my hubby and kids. They will be thrilled!

My family did the tour Mon, Nov 12, for the first official lighting of IASWH and the parade (we were seated right outside IASW, at the end of the parade route), and I think doing the tour on an insanely busy day is the best use of it. You get to walk through gates without a wait as you park-hop and go directly to the front of lines for those two popular rides, and, of course, get a real seat for the parade without burning through park time sitting on cold concrete. The rides, seats, and treats made it worthwhile, if I found some of the tour a bit dry and over-long.

Thanks Tigerlily, it does sound like it will save us lots of time and be a nice way to combat the NYE crowds. I think I'll book it! :)

We're hoping to do this tour on Christmas Day....keeping my fingers crossed that the Disneyland Vacation Planning Team is able to secure our tour tickets on Sunday morning.

I was really happy that the tour included both Disneyland and DCA, you're all going to love it when you go. (the pin is super cute too!)

Did the tour include any attractions other than IASW and HM? When I booked it, the cast member said it include additional attractions this year such as ToT and Matterhorn. I don't see how there would even be time for that, so I'm kind of hoping she just didn't know what she was talking about. I am hoping the tour just focuses on the holidays and not other random attractions.

Thanks!

Jason

We just went on IASW and HM.

How much does it cost for the tour? We will be going for Christmas for the first time with my 4 and 5 yr old and this sounds like a pretty good thing

We are paying $54.50 per person with a discount. I think it was 20%. Discount is given for AAA, Disney Visa or Annual Pass (all get the same % discount). I think there was a 4th category too, maybe DVC?

The tour I was looking at was only $25.00 per person or $20.00 if you had AAA or Disney Visa, etc.
It offered the 2.5 hr tour of Disney, CA and DD, three attractions, two fastpasses, priority seating for dining, VIP viewing for parade, and something 'sweet'.
I wonder if I'm looking at an old one??

That's the "Welcome to Disneyland" tour. I took it in September and we saw It's Tough To Be A Bug (was supposed to be Muppets but that was screwed up because of Frankenweenie), went on Pirates, and rode the railroad. We received Fastpasses for ToT, WoC, Star Tours, and I think Soarin' (but I'm not 100% on that last one). We also received VIP seating for Aladdin (not a parade) and a pin (no candy). Oh and we could've had Priority Seating but we didn't take advantage of that. I can't remember the restaurants offered but I know Carthay Circle wasn't one.

I have been trying to book this tour for the last 20 minutes and the line just says to call back during regular business hours and gives the hours. They should be open now as it is 8:37 in California and they open at 7am.

Did you get it sorted out Carol? I hope so!

Booked ours this morning for the 3:15 tour on Christmas Eve. That was my last puzzle piece to get the whole trip settled into place. YAY!!! Next up: Packing plans.

Yes, used my DVC number to get that discount yesterday on this tour.

We did the Tour last year, and it was our first trip to DLR during the Christmas season. I thought it was totally worth the money. Going again this year, and can't wait:banana: I am excited that it includes DCA this time. I booked the first Tour on December 2. We did the nighttime Tour last year, so I wanted to try the day Tour this time. Did I say I was so excited!!!!:worship:

They didn't open until 9 am on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Holiday hours. Of course, the recording doesn't tell you that--I only knew because I called a couple of days ahead to get all my questions answered. Otherwise I'm sure I would have been freaking out! :scared1:

We booked the tour for December 22 and Fantasmic! Premium Viewing for December 23. We've never done either one and I can't wait! :dance3:

Yes, I found that out the hard way on Thanksgiving when I tried to call to make Fantasmic dessert reservations! I was freaking out because it just kept looping back on the same recording :scared1:

But YEA! Just got our reservations today for the Holidaytime Tour on Christmas Day!!! Hey Mickey&JoshNut I saw you were trying for reservations on Christmas day too - did you get your reservations? If so, which tour did you get? Maybe we'll see you there! :thumbsup2

Glad you got your tour too! We are doing the 3:15 tour (doing BB at 11:30), so I guess we won't be on the same tour together. But enjoy!! :santa:
