Wow u r in for a huge treat. This will be our fifth Disney cruise. Our first I was 28 husband 32 DD 4 and DD 2 we also went with my husbands parents and my mom. My kids still remember it to this day my daughter more than my son. I think it's the biggest pile of dookie when I hear people say they don't want to take their kids to Disneyland or cruise because they don't think the kids will appeicate it or remember. 1st of all they appeicate it the most as toddlers the magic is so real for them and meeting all the characters means everything to them. Who cares if they remember everything or not your spending quality time with them and you will remember and always have pics to remind them. My kids are 10 and 12 now and they have an awesome time every time but truthfully the best times were when they believed in the magic. Experiencing Disney through your kids eyes is magical and the no words to describe the feeling u get when you see them so happy and in awe. Im preschool teacher so I hear it all the time and sometimes I want to just scream!!! I wish I could take them all just to share in their excitement and joy. I have one little girl in particular who every single time I put in a Disney song she transforms in to princess and she is taken away to her castle. Seriously your gonna love this cruise

Thanks minniewitch! I completely agree about people acting like it's not worth vacationing with very young children because they won't remember. I guess I should throw away my zoo membership and stop going to the parks and playground, too, because he won't remember any of that. I understand if finances are really tight, by all means, save up for the once in a lifetime trip. But if it's manageable, then I think vacationing is a great experience for toddlers and helps them develop and learn about the world around them since everything is new for them, even if it's just going to the airport and looking at all the planes lined up.

Besides, who says Disney trips are just for the kids anyway?!

This will be my family's first cruise ever. We could not be more excited about the itinerary. We just got back from Disney World literally days after the Fantasyland expansion opened up. Now we get to go back and see it all AND cruise there in style.

minniewitch01 I am so happy you found us here and we will be traveling soon!! I have missed you a lot!!
:welcome: everyone... I too am excited to hear about surprise Christmas notifications for the kids. I agree with what everyone has been saying about taking young children. The magic is within them and that is what makes it so special. You never know what is going to touch them for a lifetime. My son is 16 years old. He has been forever touched by Disney and it pains him he doesn't get to go on this trip. He is in an IB High School and just can not afford to miss a day.The best memories we have together are our tips on DCL over the years.

I think a 30 day cut off for the FE list is reasonable. I look forward to do a meet and great and wearing something that identifies us on the ship. The last cruise I was on, no one really knew each other and it seemed really disconnected.

I hack forgotten about the fantasy land expansion until recently. We were originally going to do Epcot but when my husband reminded me about fantasy land, there was no question about where to go! I just hope crowds are bearable.

Minniewitch--doxies are adorable too but I've never actually had a small dog. Bassets are much heavier than most people think they are. They're just on short legs!

The Pequignot's are in room 1053 across where we were for Sydney's Make a Wish, I liked the 1st floor it wasnt ever busy only when we reached port.
Traveling together with my Mom w a connecting room, tho she wont be participating in FE.
I believe we are the 1st on the 8nite so we may not see the "Navigator" we have done Disney the last 4years and my husband and son say this is the last for a while:( But Sydney and I may just have to travel back again. When I see Sydney with her favorites I just melt. She watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on her ipad every day. Sydney has Down syndrome and she is the most amazing lil girl ever!!
Anyways, last time I went to the Meet & Great for just a few minutes, we headed up to Spa right away for Give a ways. So Id vote for later in the night to meet up.

Just an FYI Kroger grocery store starting today has gift cards earning 4x the amount for gas. So you can purchase the Disney card(s) to pay and you'll earn $ off Gas too:) So $100 is like $400 towards your gas discount!!

Did anyone else notice the time change for departure on our Disney day. It's currently reading 12:45pm...If they really have changed the departure time that drastically I don't see the point in transporting everyone to Disney World for a few hours. I really hope this is an error!

8-Night Bahamian Cruise on Disney Magic
March 1 to March 9
Disney Magic

Day Port Ashore Onboard
1 Galveston, Texas — 3:30 p.m.
2 At Sea — —
3 At Sea — —
4 Castaway Cay 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
5 Walt Disney World Resort (Port Canaveral, FL) 6:15 a.m. 12:45 p.m.
6 At Sea — —
7 Key West, Florida 7:30 a.m. 12:45 p.m.
8 At Sea — —
9 Galveston, Texas 8:30 a.m. —

That makes no sense at all. Maybe it's a mistake? That just leaves enough time for everyone to get off the bus, go on one ride and turn right back around. I noticed Key West has the same time. I would have swore it used to be a longer day as well.

I called Disney Cruise Line 1-800-951-3532 and they said it is 11:45 PM.
I told them it is 12:45 on their website and they need to correct it soon!

What is everyone planning to do on shore days? We're really looking at this as a relaxing getaway so I'm not trying to overplan everything. Our last DCL trip was Alaska and I felt I needed to have a good idea what we were doing in each port, but this cruise seems much more laidback.
At Castaway Cay our daughter wants to do the stingray experience and I figured we would just relax the rest of the time.
For PC, DD and I are going to WDW, while DH goes to Kennedy Space Center. We've spent A LOT of time at Disneyland, so I thought Epcot and Animal Kingdom would be the best use of our time as far as experiencing something different.
Our time in Key West is so short I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do. Anyone who's been there before have any ideas? DD will be 8.
