SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 It is HUGE you booked a hotel, one of the fellas in Bayonne took his wife and infant all the way by Philly!!! And the price gouging is ridiculous :sad2:

For now...still at Poly ;) And I did online check in twice....HRH still wants her two nights at Royal Pacific princess:
For now, huh? How do you do OCI twice? Different reservations? Where will the next OCI be:scratchinpopcorn::

Ok, asking for some opinions from other "changers". So far I've gone from Swan to Pop, to Dolphin, to BWV, and now back to Dolphin. Thing is we still have our BWV reservation and I can't make up my mind. As I see it there are a couple issues. One is ME. We have a lot of medical "stuff" we carry with us. Over doubles our luggage amount (total of 4 large suitcases, large rolling cooler, and carry ons.). My daughter also has her wheelchair, but can transfer fine and walk short distances. Anyway, all of that makes ME factor in more than the "you could get a town car" argument because we would never fit and her chair does not fold. We could, though, rent a van service or use Mears. There is the 2 beds at Dolphin vs a bed and the sofa bed at BWV. The other big difference (maybe, maybe not) is the level of customer service. Typically we get about 4-5 deliveries fed ex overnight of meds etc from our pharmacy here in Wisconsin. We also will get oxygen delivered, but that is a one time thing. I've not been overly impressed by my communication with the Dolphin on their ability to handle this efficiently and they are not willing to waive the fee for delivery so $12/box would be charged. That is OK, policy is policy, it was more their attitude about it. So then it comes down to cost. If you add transportation, resort fee, and box delivery there is an $800 difference. I'm going with a friend who is helping me with my dauters care so my portion is half that. We will be there 10 nights so $40 apiece per night is the difference.

I'm not sure this is even the right place to ask my question, but given we keep changing and these are just the big things as there are all the little details too and frankly it comes down to I just change my mind a lot :rotfl2:

Any thoughts? This stay at BWV is a cash stay through Disney as it was cheaper than BWI which is my dream resort so it was as close as I could get to that dream, BUT the $$ has me thinking. I'm also to the point we have to cancel one or the other then there is no turning back since the Disney room-only promotion is over and Dolphin is booked to capacity 4 of our nights.

Thanks for any input you might have!
You can call Disney even though the promotion is over and ask if there is any availabilty at BWI...for the extra fees and special needs your daughter has, I'd suggest Disney. Plus Dolphin is 2 double beds...your studio will have the fridge and microwave. For a cheaper price I would totally suggest keeping BWV!!!!! :thumbsup2

For now, huh? How do you do OCI twice? Different reservations? Where will the next OCI be:scratchinpopcorn::

 The CM said I could redo OCI since I changed, and it would give me different requests....Poly is solid right now...but I have learned to never say never

Good morning!!!!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes. You all are the best :grouphug:

Got to the doctor yesterday, back on track. Had a really tough time with the drugs yesterday, expect today to be much better :).

No power trucks in sight but snagging the hotel room was huge. We have it until Saturday, then they are booked for a wedding, but it should get us over the hump. We can ration our propane and hopefully make it until we get power. AND there is not a power truck to be seen in our town :(

Can't begin the catch up at this point but

gwynne have a great trip!!!

pas, you are getting so close, so excited for you and curious where you will be staying :lmao:

missoutandabout, I am sure parent teacher conferences went well, how could they not with sweet Miss M?

jenny, Happy Belated birthday to my little friend. Hope it was a good one!

Babyberger, glad you are feeling better. Take it slow, and be good to yourself.

Grumpy Grandma, welcome home! I can't wait to hear more details about your trip.

sjs and Dani, I was worried about both is you. So glad you are safe and sound.

KOOK, thank you for the picture of the band at the GF. SOOOO excited for the WL, no resort changing for me!

Janet

So sorry to everyone I have missed.

Sarah welcome back! Missed you and worried so about you, glad you were able to finally get out and get the room at the Inn! I was lucky this time only lost power for 1 day. Fingers crossed the Nor'easter coming is not too bad.

Good morning, ladies! :goodvibes

Sarah! So very super happy to see you back online. Hope those trucks make it out to your neck of the woods sooner than later, but the hotel will suffice in the interim. :worship:

Jeanette: :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Not even OCI is safe from changes. What's next on the agenda... popcorn:: Poor Katie. Glad she's bounced back so quickly.

Candace: Stuck?! STUCK? No way, lady. BC and your family were just meant to be. Or was that the YC ... or the Poly? :faint: Or back at the WL?!

Melissa: Did you attempt carline yesterday? What a wonderful thing for your kiddo's school to be doing. :goodvibes

Marie: I agree with Jeanette. We'll help you pass the time. Hope you get your coworker soon! :hyper:

Sheila: Hope you east coasters are spared with this next storm.

Janet: Ooooh, "me shopping" -- YAY! I hope to try that out tomorrow. Have some things to return, which inevitably turns into me buying MORE things. :thumbsup2 Although it usually winds up being cute things for Miss M. Why does it always happen that way?

A rare Kooksterammalammadingdong sighting. :wave2:

Ginny: Hope you've settled in already and are enjoying my favorite place in WDW... The gorgeous Beach Club! :cloud9:

Jen, Linda, Dani, I_Heart, DetTigsGal, and who else am I missing? :grouphug:

_________---__________---__________

The parent-teacher conference went fine. Huge relief. The teacher said she was a "model student." Must get that from her daddy. Miss M's been saying since last night, "I really wish we didn't have any holidays -- except Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween and my birthday -- and that I could go to school today." At the end of the day, I just might be agreeing with her... :lmao:

My DD5 AKA Bree is the same way. She would go on the weekend if she could...

Here's some words from Kate (also the model student, yet Tornado Kate at home)

"Mommy, I use up all my good at school & I have to let the sillies out at home" :rotfl:

Me thinks my planning is done.....me thinks :cool2:

I should have said "stuck" (in a positive way) rather than switching elsewhere. I do think BC is meant to be.

I keep hemming and hawing about upgrading the view....but I know that my family will really not spend a lot (or any) time on the balcony....so for an extra $550....I'm sticking with my garden view now. :thumbsup2

I think we are gonna LOVE it!

BIG  's to you all!!! Thanks for keeping me company on my loooongggg wait!!! I need you all! :goodvibes there's no one I'd rather hang with than my gang!!! :)

PAS! YEAH for CL GV!! I'm guessing this is at the beautiful POLY???

To all my american friends, hope you can get out to vote, it'll be interesting to see who wins this one!!! I'm interested, and I'm Canadian :)

Ginny: Safe Travels my sweet friend! :)

As to me, I'm counting down the days until I can be part time again!! I've had it with getting up at 06:30am every day of the week, only to get home at 5pm!! Hope it gets all settled soon! Interviews are next week, then it's just a matter of coinciding her start date and training..... so a few more weeks of this, I think..... the money is nice, but having a bit of a home life is nice too! :p

Love to you all!!!

Okay, finally sitting down to catch up. Been a bit busy this morning with voting, bills, and sorting through Disney gift cards and reward cards figuring how much I have, need, etc.

Candace – just for your notes, my room # at YC was 4091. Do I need to post the pictures again? Oh and just to rub it in, it is 81 degrees and gorgeous :p

Miss - glad the conference went well and she is a model student ;) I was happy to have the kids home today just so I didn’t have to get up so early, lol! Yep, managed carline yesterday, its wasn’t great, but not horrible. Each day gets a little better. I am happy the school is collecting, I have winter jackets and snowpants from our winter trip to NY almost 2 years ago that my kids will obviously not need down here and I really want it to go to a good cause, and I think the victims of Hurricane Sandy are the perfect cause :thumbsup2

Jeanette - DD is the same way. She is so good at school, always considerate, helpful, happy…but at home, WATCH OUT, the inner daemon comes right out :scared1: Oh and I see an upgrade ;) Glad Katie recovered quickly, sorry DH was in and out so quickly :( Thanks for the answer on the need items, we are just trying to make sure we collect what is really is needed.

KOOK - I like your idea of cream for the coffee ::yes::

Mayaflysmama - I would be really put off by the attitude you are getting with the Dolphin, I understand policy is policy, but this is medically necessary shipments. Back before Disney had fridges in all the rooms, we were always given one free of charge because it was for medical purposes. I really think the Dolphin should have worked with you a bit on the box charges. I may have missed it but which resort is $800 more? BWV? I think over the 10 nights, it would be worth it to be at BWV. Can you make the one bed and sofa bed work for you? Also as Pas pointed out the fridge and microwave will probably come in handy as well.

Marie – the end is near, the end is near!!! Only a couple more weeks and you can get some you time back!!!! Bummer that Andrew didn’t like the contacts. My Andrew just went last week and finally “graduated” from the dallies, yay! In regards to the deluxe dining, I just can’t seem to justify the cost, there really is no savings. I guess if you get free dining and then can upgrade it may be worth it.

Sarah - I am so happy to hear from you again! I hope today is going better than yesterday and you are enjoying having power :goodvibes

Ginny – I hope you have arrived in FL and happy to “Be Home” :hyper:

I think that about catches me up, sorry if I missed anyone or anything!

Waving :wave2: to Shelia, Dani, Jen, IHTM, DetTigsGal, Janet, and everyone else!

Melissa

You are NOT going to upgrade to CL!!!!! You dont use it enough, remember!!!!

Listen to the voice of reason. ::yes::

Seriously, I kinda wish we hadn't done CL this past trip; we could've had more money for another trip. :rotfl2: (Or for stuff around the house that we kinda need but who cares about that boring drivel. :rolleyes1 )

Hey Girls!

Just got home from voting. I'm a sap, but I :lovestruc Election Day!

I'm having severe second thoughts about my RPC ressie especially since I've been reading on the GF thread that the pool construction is running behind. The DVC construction doesn't bother me, but I would be very upset to spend this much money and walk into a torn up courtyard. :scared:

I'm also back to questioning CL at all. My reasons for not wanting it are still valid, so why do I keep booking it anyway :confused3

Today I'm feeling CR TPV and BC GV again. <sigh> Why can't you just make changes online.I hate calling CRO :sad2:

pas - changing after OCI :rotfl2: I almost asked you yesterday if that could be done, but I resisted. I guess I know the answer now! Enjoy the KKC :yay:

Yes! A lot can be done with that $1000 savings...I keep telling myself this.
No CL.

I love Election Day too...but I was also a Political Science major in college so obviously my dorkiness extends beyond all things Disney! :rotfl:

CR TPV and BC GV sounds like an awesome split!!! :thumbsup2
